Chapter 1492: Gu ngng Was Going To et The Beast Deity
Only snakes can enter the secret passageway to the cave?
Gu ngng felt her head aching.
Before entering, Wabei had already ntioned that he sensed sothing strange from Motou Mountains. She had even asked if he had co before but he said that he did not rember.
But Wabei had easily found the entrance to this path for snakes even though it was in a mountain buried under snow.
As though he was led by sothing...
Suddenly, a thought ca to her mind. Unknowingly, she recalled the question that Wabei asked her before entering – whether this mountain looked like him.
At that ti, Gu ngng still thought that he was joking and said that aren’t all snakes all the sa, and even Snakel looked similar.
Wabei did not say anything but Gu ngng knew that all snakes looked the sa to her, but snakes could tell the difference between their features. Just like the mark behind her neck, she, Elvis and Lea could not tell any changes but Wabei could tell at one look that it was not a mark left behind by Snakel originally.
Or perhaps...
Gu ngng’s brows were tightly furrowed. She grabbed Elvis’ hands and said, “Let’s go find my father, I have to et him.”
“Now?” Elvis said in a worried tone, “This place is not safe. If both of us were to fall asleep, Lea and Auretin might not be able to cope.”
“Then I shall go myself.” Gu ngng said.
Elvis pursed his lips and said, “How about this, after Lea returns, you should eat so food first so that you won’t be hungry. Then, I will find find a cave for us to settle down, then we shall go et the Beast Deity together, alright?”
Gu ngng knew that after she retrieved the Love of the Sky, it ant that she was one step closer to opening the doors of ti and space. Elvis must have been getting more and more anxious.
“Alright,” Gu ngng did not insist. Two days ago, Gregory had already told her that Elvis and Lea had reached the foot of the mountain, which ant that sothing had already happened to Wabei for at least two days. Even if she was impatient, it would not really make much difference.
Because of Gregory, Elvis and Lea must already be very worried, she could not make them feel even more uneasy.
When Lea returned, he brought many fruits that Gu ngng liked. After using the pristine stream water to wash them, they looked as fresh and sweet as though they were kept in ice.
Elvis told them that Gu ngng wanted to et the Beast Deity and Lea was not surprised at all. He only instructed Elvis to take good care of Gu ngng.
Even Gu ngng understood what he ant by ‘take good care’.
Lea was worried that she might act rashly out of impulse, such as entering the doors of ti and space to return to the present world.
She would not do such a thing but Elvis and Lea would not believe her no matter what.
After lunch, they all set off in the direction opposite to Motou Mountains. Having walked for half a day, they finally found a cave that was comfortable enough for temporary shelter.
Elvis and Lea entered to cleaned the place, then used the new beast skin that they had hunted to set up a simple bed so that Elvis could hug Gu ngng to sleep.
Gu ngng knew that after she was asleep, Lea would tempt Auretin with food so that he would hunt for more and better quality beast skin so that she could sleep comfortably. In fact, she did not feel such a need because she was really not that delicate. She would be fine even if she had to sleep directly on the ground but she did not say this out loud.
Because she knew that Lea could not accompany her to the dream realm to et the Beast Deity like Elvis could, and being alone would definitely make him feel uneasy.
Closing her eyes, with the white fog rising gradually, Gu ngng could feel that Elvis was hugging her with greater strength. She did not struggle and allowed him to hug her like this.
So long as he could feel more secure, even if it was painful to be hugged this tight, she could endure it.
