Chapter 1425: Tyrant Senior Falls In Love With
Gu ngng nodded with a sheepish smile. Only then did she realize that everyone in the basketball club was standing there looking at her. They had all probably witnessed her bawling her eyes out.
Snakel shot Zhan Jin Cheng a look. With imdiate understanding, Zhan Jin Cheng drew Bai Lan to the side.
Snakel then walked up and embraced Gu ngng. “You already cried over this matter twice. I am at my wit’s end... if you don’t want to capture him and pound him to bits, then don’t shed anymore tears over this again, understand?”
Gu ngng instinctively burrowed her face into Snakel’s chest. She gave a nearly imperceptible nod.
She was truly too ashad to face anyone now...
If she told everyone that the person blubbering so wretchedly earlier wasn’t her, but her twin sister—would anyone believe it? Or... could she claim to have a split personality?
Gu ngng was still conflicting over this when Bai Lan shouted, “What are you all looking at? Don’t you guys need to practice?!”
“Yes, yes we are practicing.” Since becoming her boyfriend, Zhan Jin Cheng more or less treated Bai Lan’s words as sacred decree, pandering after her like a little eunuch.
Bai Lan clicked her tongue at Snakel.
Gu ngng pushed Snakel. “You go and practice too. I will sit here and watch.”
“You won’t cry anymore?” Snakel held Gu ngng’s face as he asked.
Gu ngng nodded. “I won’t cry anymore.”
Snakel finally smiled and kissed her forehead. “That’s good. You are already not much to look at and crying makes you even uglier.”
“You...” Exasperated, Gu ngng harrumphed before falling silent.
Satisfied, Snakel pinched her round little face and then stepped onto the court. He dribbled a ball twice around the court as warm-up, before starting a three-on-three match that was even more exciting than the previous exhibition ga.
Gu ngng and Bai Lan sat by the side to watch. They didn’t know the rules and the intricacies of the ga, but it must be said that a slam dunk looked so cool!
The sense of thrill accompanied by that loud bang was no small deal.
“A slam dunk looks so aweso.” Gu ngng murmured as she held Bai Lan’s hand.
Snakel had exceptional hearing and he was always attuned to Gu ngng’s every action. So of course he heard her words.
Hence, with a sideway glance at Gu ngng, he shouted. “Twong!”
Gu ngng looked up and instinctively answered, “Huh?” She then watched as Snakel showcased an incredible display of skill that ended in a dazzling slam dunk—the kind that was usually only seen in basketball comics such as “Slamdunk” and “Kuroko’s Basketball”. With the ball still tucked under his arm, Snakel walked over to Gu ngng. He bent over to et her eyes. “Did that look good?”
Gu ngng nodded. “Very good. You looked terrific. A pity I am not tall enough, or I will also join the basketball club... I really wish to try. A slam dunk really looks so cool.”
Snakel smiled and dropped the ball right into the crook between his shin and top of his foot. With the ball firmly in place, he lifted Gu ngng by the waist and sat her on top of his shoulders.
After Gu ngng was seated properly, he lifted his leg and popped the ball back into his own hands. Snakel then carried Gu ngng underneath the basketball rim. He bounced the ball a couple of tis before tossing it upward to Gu ngng. “Didn’t you say you wanted to try? Go ahead and dunk.”
“Huh?” Gu ngng was bewildered. With the ball in her hands, she was at a loss at what to do.
Snakel just laughed. “You are the only one in the world who can do whatever you want while riding atop my head. So you can be as arrogant as you wish to be because you have the right. Just do whatever you want to do as I will always be supporting you. Don’t be afraid, just do it.”
