Gu ngng felt very maligned. The thought of seeking new partners had never crossed her mind.
Lea held her hand, his fingers trembling. He pleaded timidly. “Not only that, I can change whatever you don’t like about . I will never threaten you. I will support you in whatever you want to do. Gu ngng rubbed her own head as she stared at Lea in a daze. “Did you forget to take your dicine? What the hell are you talking about? When did I say I wanted to get new partners? When did I say I was going to abandon you... where did you get all these ideas from?”
Lea lowered his head. “You already feel Elvis and I are very troubleso, don’t you?”
Lea gave a self-mocking smile. He dared not look Gu ngng in the eyes but gazed to the side and murmured in a low voice. “Yes, which male would dare to behave so impudently in front of his female? You have been too good to us, and I forgot my place... it is normal of you to be tired of .”
“I am not tired of you! ” Gu ngng held Lea’s shoulders as she hollered at him. “Can you be more normal? What the hell is the matter? Your sudden change in behavior is really distressing !”
“You ntioned earlier about why would you want to ‘invite more trouble’...doesn’t that an that Elvis and I are already troubleso in your eyes?” Lea’s gaze dimd, his feelings obviously hurt.
Gu ngng smacked her head, completely speechless.
She sighed and looked at Elvis. “You two kept exchanging glances just now and ca up with this conclusion?”
Elvis hesitated, but eventually nodded in all honesty.
Gu ngng was totally exasperated by those two. She thought only females would be so sensitive, being hurt by a careless comnt. So males could also be like that.
Gu ngng sat cross-legged by the bed and looked at Elvis and Lea. “Tell , were the two of you recently provoked by anything in particular? We have got along so well these past four years. I don’t believe nothing happened and that you two just suddenly decided to behave in this peculiar manner. Did you hear so rumors or saw anything? Did Cole incite you?”
Gu ngng pondered all possibilities as she probed them.
Elvis remained silent while Lea also pursed his lips and kept quiet. However, his gaze drifted toward Sandy, who was sitting by the entrance.
Gu ngng inquired. “What? Did Sandy lecture you two?”
Lea shook his head. He gave a tentative tug at Gu ngng’s hand. Only when she didn’t resist did he dare to pull her into a light embrace. He rested his chin on the top of her head. “Since Sandy took in those seven wolves, Elvis and I just feel very ill-at-ease.”
Gu ngng considered this for a mont, but still failed to understand.
She had no choice but to continue asking, “What’s it got to do with you that Sandy took in new partners? Damn, unless you two want to have an affair and hook up with my bosom friend?”
Lea gritted his teeth. He really felt like poking her head and scolding her heartless. But he swallowed his words while his finger also paused right before making contact with her head. He sighed and drew back his hand.
He just lowered his eyes and said, “Do you still rember what were Bode’s and Collin’s reactions on the day that Sandy took in her new partners?”
Gu ngng tried to recall but shook her head. “What were their reactions? Too many things happened that day and I didn’t notice. I don’t think they had much reaction.”
