“That bird beast clearly likes you. Why don’t you accept him?” Wabei sprawled lazily across the table. He picked up a pebble and tossed it at Gu ngng’s head.
Gu ngng rubbed her head and glared at Wabei. “Are you looking to die? You dare throw rocks at ?”
Wabei grinned and nodded. “Yes, I dare to throw rocks at you.”
Gu ngng held her forehead. This fool Wabei had not yet co to terms with the fact that he was finally not fearful of her anymore. Provoking her was his only way to confirm that he could be near her again. He had beco rather obsessed with the word “dare”.
Rolling her eyes at Wabei, she didn’t kick up a fuss over that pebble incident. Anyway, it wasn’t really painful.
“It’s because I know he likes , that’s why I cannot take advantage of his feelings. Since I cannot reciprocate, I shouldn’t lead him on.” Gu ngng glared at Lea. “Previously, I thought he would never like , that was why I dared to let him hover around . Heavens know what went wrong in his brain to make him suddenly change his mind.”
Wabei picked up another small rock and aid it at Gu ngng. She shot him a fierce look. “That rock is too big. My head will crack if you throw it at .”
Wabei resentfully tossed that egg-sized rock to the side and pouted. “And to call yourself a Beast King. So weak.”
Gu ngng rolled her eyes at Wabei again. She ignored his provocation but just shared with everyone what the Beast Deity told her in her dream state.
Wabei frowned and looked at Elvis and then at Lea. “Tsk, you should have accepted that bird beast, as well as a few more powerful males.”
Gu ngng glared at Wabei with an “are you looking to die” expression. “Have you changed professions to beco a pimp now?”
Wabei said disdainfully, “You are the pimp. You pimped the entire tribe.”
Gu ngng shot Wabei a look, gesturing for him to look at Elvis’ expression.
Wabei glanced at Elvis. “I stayed by Snake’s side for 800 years. Do you think I will be afraid of a newbie Wolf King?”
Mmm, he was not talking nonsense. Wabei was a snake and Snake was the Snake King. So to Wabei, not only was Snake able to suppress him with their vast difference in powers, he was also an indomitable authority figure within the snake race, high above him in status and rank. Having been thrashed by Snake for 800 years without cowering, Wabei would definitely not be frightened of Elvis.
Gu ngng held her forehead. “Little shit, don’t upset the harmony within my family, alright?”
Wabei said, “It’s not that I want to scold you, but did you use up all your ferocity on ? Why are you so timid before these two useless bums?”
Gu ngng smacked the table. “Speak if you must, but don’t make personal attacks!”
Wabei insisted. “They really are useless bums. Am I not allowed to point that out?”
Seeing that Gu ngng was about to fly into a rage, Wabei held up one hand to stop her before continuing. “According to the Beast Deity, you killed a powerful practitioner in the cca Desert. But weren’t these two useless bums also there at the ti? Why did they leave the task of killing to you? The only reason I can think of is that these two fellows failed to defeat that practitioner... males who have to hide behind their wife—what else should I call them apart from useless bums?”
Gu ngng chortled. “Little shit... I rember that when I was at the cca Desert, you were there too!”
Wabei snorted and said in a mocking tone, “Perhaps it just happened that I was not around when you were doing the killing? But those two would never be apart from you for even half a step.”
