The Beast Deity smiled. “The person you forgot didn’t belong to the Beast World in the first place. There’s no point in rembering him. As long as you got your desired result, all is good.”
Gu ngng knew that no one could force the Beast Deity to reveal sothing he didn’t want to. Hence, she didn’t press him but just asked another question, “Then Daddy, do you know who is that great lord that Gregory always refers to?”
The Beast Deity nodded. “He’s one of Wang Xiaoxin’s partners. He has been guarding the way back for her since her death a thousand years ago. He was born without a moral compass and holds a special status. Although he is a partner, Wang Xiaoxin did not have his mark on her. The Beast Deity nodded. “During those days, the bird tribes were being bullied by the land beasts and lived under terrible conditions. Hence, Wang Xiaoxin arranged for that person to go help the bird tribes. He protected them from the land beasts and offered them safe passage to the Motou mountain range. In return, the bird tribes swore to forever remain in the Motou mountains to protect the treasure at the peak. In addition, on receipt of his notification, the leader of the vulture tribe must beco the partner of whoever inherits the Heart of the Desert.”
