Chapter 1269: Eight Days Left

The ninth day....

Gregory felt his chest stuffed up as if a sharp item poked his heart, the pain making it hard to breathe as he frowned upon instincts.

He did not say anything as he flapped his wings and flew again, towards the lotti’s rest place.

Throughout his trip, he was in a dazed state and was flying with his innate abilities. The scene of Lea ‘unintentional’ ntion of the countdown kept replaying in his head.

Nine days, there were nine days left.

Can he finish making the feather fan?

If he could, that would be great....since she was anticipating this so much, what will be her reaction when he finish making it? Will her clear eyes be shining brightly? Will she be smiling like a kid?

If he caught all the lotti for her, will there be a part of her smile.....that belonged to him?

Thinking about this all the way, when Gregory returned to the stone castle in Sauder once again, it was the afternoon of the last eighth day.

He neglected his intention of surpassing his flying limits to fly back, pushing himself to death. He was scared to know that he wanted to see her earlier, he was scared that when he returned, she was still having her afternoon nap, he was scared....he wanted to see her, so badly until he went crazy.

“Eh? Gregory, you don’t look too good.” Gu ngng looked at Gregory holding the two lotti in his hands and asked in confusion, “I haven’t seen you for two days, where did you go?”

Gu ngng was still unaware that the resting place of lotti was faraway, Gregory had to fly one day and one night to catch these two birds back.

“Nothing much.” Gregory handed the lotti to Lea and his instincts brought him to the water bucket so that he could see his reflection from the water.

Ah, he really looked terrible.

Vultures were not like ordinary weak birds. For them, it was normal to not sleep for a few days and nights but he actually looked so haggard after flying for two days...

Ha, the root of his problem was not because of his lack of rest or food.

His internal anxiety and restlessness were the real culprits.

“I’ll leave first.” No matter what happened, Gregory still wished that Gu ngng would never see him in such a sorry state.

“Sigh....since you’re already here, let’s eat a al before you leave.” Gu ngng called Gregory back.

Gregory pursed his lips, a wage war occurring inside him.

He desired to see her a second longer but he scared that his current haggard look would destroy his image in her heart so he was extrely hesitant and ca to a standstill.

Lea pushed Gregory lightly and said, “Auretin eats with us whenever he brings preys back too, if you don’t share a al with us, we won’t dare to keep your lotti in the future. It looks like we’re taking advantage of you.”

“....Alright.” Gregory lowered his head, a tint of disappointnt shining across his eyes.

He was no different from Auretin, he just provided them with prey and shared als with them.

She only had two partners in her eyes, why would she care about his image?

But what exactly was this jealousy and stuffiness he’s currently feeling?

They clearly said that they would not take a fancy on each other when they first t...

She abide by her words from the start but what about him? When did he start to waver?

At the dining table, Gu ngng poked the at with her chopsticks, looking all depressed. Gregory wanted to ask her what happened but he clenched his fists and remained silent.

He had no right to ask about her worries, isn’t it? But why was he so concerned for her?

“ngng, what’s with your expression? Don’t tell that you can’t bear for Gregory because he’s leaving after eight days?” Lea poked fun at her in a causal way.
