They go back inside together, and Astri starts cooking dinner. With all the space, they could all work together, and they finished quickly.
After eating, they spend ti together in the living room.
Astri is lying on her side, using Lee’s lap as a pillow, resting her belly and back. The movents of the cubs are more visible now. When she’s lying, they can see the belly moving.
"Hey, little cats. Let your mom rest." Zin says, passing his hand on her belly, and they stop moving.
"How obedient you are, sweeties." Astri speaks, smiling.
"You must be near delivery for all those movents. I’m happy you could co here before it." Cyprian says.
" too. It is very comfortable here, and no one will be stepping on each other anymore, but I’ll also miss our little cabin." She says while Lee keeps brushing her hair with his fingers.
She ends up falling asleep. Zin carries her to bed and the others go to wash the dishes.
"It’s very close for the cubs to be born. I’ll put more guards in the guard towers at night because we will be more vulnerable while she’s having the cubs." Lee tells them.
"Good idea. I hope everything goes well when she goes into labor." Cyprian says.
"Astri is strong, and she took great care of herself, I’m sure everything will be fine." Zin speaks.
"I noticed that females normally get bigger when they’re pregnant. Astri didn’t beco like that." Wayde says.
"She ate only what was necessary to nurture the cubs and herself, not falling into desiring to eat more than it’s needed. She said that eating more than it’s needed, the cubs will be bigger too and will be harder labor. That’s why sotis so females have a hard ti in labor." Zin explains.
"It’s true. She craved a few things but didn’t eat more than she normally eats." Lee says.
"She’s smart and wouldn’t put herself and the cubs at risk just for her desires." Cyprian speaks.
They finish cleaning everything and go clean themselves to go lay down with Astri.
Zin was fast, and soon, he was spooning her. Cyprian laid on her front.
"Hey, Zin! It was my turn today! We shift between Wayde and you, Cyprian and ." Lee whispers, pulling Zin’s legs.
"You will wake her up." Cyprian whispers.
"It’s my turn, Zin! I won’t give up and she will be mad at you."
Zin clicks his tongue and moves away after kissing her head.
If there’s sothing that Zin hates and avoids at all costs, it is making Astri mad.
Snakes rarely have mates, and when they do, they’re not even welco to sleep near their females. The females won’t show any respect to them.
The last ti Astri was mad at all of them, including himself, made him so scared to lose her love.
After having her unconditional love, he doesn’t want to ever lose it. So he’s capable of doing anything to keep that way.
But Zin half-shifts, and he holds her feet with the tip of his tail, and that way, he sleeps well.
The next morning, Claud is flying on Galion with three more guards. They don’t fly every day because it calls attention, but they fly when there are only deserted areas or any city or village that are far from each other. And they fly high.
Claud closes his eyes to connect with Astri. Day by day, he’s getting more anxious, knowing the day he will be seeing her is getting closer.
He wonders how she will react when they et.
"Good morning, great unicorn almighty ~" She answers, making him smile.
"How are you, Pegasus almighty?"
He wishes he could be with her when she goes into labor, but he would have to be very lucky to contact her during labor.
Astri took precautions and had let everything ready for when the mont cos.
She had shown her spouses where everything is so when it’s ti they know where to get everything.
While Astri was walking around her new garden in the middle of the afternoon, she saw so weeds trying to take her plants, so she kneels and removes them.
When she started to stand up again, she felt a sharp pain and couldn’t stand up.
She tries again to stand up, but then she feels a thick liquid between her legs.
She feels the sharp pain again and a deep pressure in her belly and on her hips. She tries to stand up again to go back inside as fast as she can but doesn’t find strength.
Saul was on the front tower guarding and heard a soft cry. He looked down to the garden and saw Astri kneeled, holding her belly.
He quickly jumped down and ran after her.
"Lady Astri.." He slls her blood and the liquid, that’s when he realized what was happening.
"Help , Saul.. Ah.. I can’t stand up." She says, feeling the waves of pain.
He carries her princess style and runs inside the castle.
Lee and Wayde were at the table discussing so things when they saw Saul coming inside fast, holding Astri.
"I think that Lady Astri is in labor." Saul speaks.
Quickly, Wayde takes her from Saul’s arms and rushes to their bedroom.
"Find Zin and Cyprian, please." Lee says to Saul, who nods and runs outside again.
Lee spreads the bed they prepared for that mont, and Wayde lays her down.
Astri is counting how long the contractions hurt and how long it takes to co back.
"Are you all right, my love? Do you need anything?" Wayde asks, worried and anxious.
"Are you feeling too much pain?" Lee asks, equally worried and anxious.
She smiles to try to calm them down.
"I’m all right. Just start taking everything that I told you. Don’t worry." She answers.
They nod and go to take clothes and water basins. She’s having a hard ti breathing laid down.
"Wayde.." She calls.
He stops what he is doing and rushes to her. Lee also runs back to her.
"Calm down. I just need to support my back. I don’t feel well laid down. Sit here." She says.
Wayde sits down behind her, putting her between his legs. Lee rushes to the stock of herbs and takes what they might need.
Finally Zin and Cyprian are back, they ca faster than lightning after Saul went to call them.
Before even saying anything, they already knew that if Saul ca running it is because sothing happened with Astri.
They stay with her during the whole process, when she feels she needs to push, Cyprian and Lee hold her hands so she doesn’t hurt her own hands.
Wayde is hugging her to keep her inclined. Zin is holding her legs and ready for when the cubs co out.
The first cub cos out, the white fur dirty with blood and amniotic liquid, Zin takes him and covers it with a cloth to clean him and then they hear it cry.
Astri cries thrilled after hearing her cub.
"The first is a boy." Zin says.
"Look how strong his lungs are." Cyprian speaks, smiling.
When the cub feels he’s surrounded with the clothes, he relaxes and stops crying. Zin puts him inside the bed Astri made.
Astri didn’t have much ti to rest until she felt pain and the need to push again.
They keep saying comforting and supporting words for her to keep going, until she cries loudly pushing out another cub. Zin cleans it and it cries too.
"A girl! It’s a female!" Zin says, smiling happily.
"By my wings!!" Lee says happily.
Wayde and Cyprian are beaming.
Astri is smiling weakly to the cub. She doesn’t feel much pain so she rests on Wayde, but then from nowhere she feels pain again.
"Another one? Normally tigers have only one or two cubs." Zin speaks.
Astri is super tired, but she tells herself she needs to do her best for her children and for her spouses.
She’s tired but she will rest later.
Her spouses look at each other worried about her. They fear losing her, but they can only hope she will endure it.
After so more pushes, another cub cos out. One more male.
Finally, it’s over.
