Chapter 960: Chapter 779: Soul Traveling the World

Ita Valley is one of the valleys on this island and is not completely open to the public.

Normally, it only accommodates talents above Grade B or successful individuals with assets exceeding one billion.

If neither of these criteria is t, one can only enter as a guest accompanied by a mber.

All of this was explained to Qiao Sang by Billet on their way here.

“Your situation is an exception,” Billet said as they walked. “Your information should already be registered, and the staff must have morized your appearance in advance. You won’t need to say anything; soone will guide you in shortly.”

The threshold is so high… Qiao Sang mused, then casually asked, “Have you been here before?”

Billet grunted an acknowledgnt, “I’ve been here once.”

Then he found out that spending a single day here cost him two months’ salary, so he never returned.

“Is it fun inside?” Qiao Sang asked.

“Just so-so,” Billet replied.

No matter how fun it might be, when paired with the cost, it ceases to be enjoyable.

Qiao Sang was just about to ask sothing else.

At that mont, Billet stopped walking and glanced at a winding glass building ahead, saying:

“We’re here. This is the service center of Ita Valley.”

With that, he stepped into the glass building first.

Qiao Sang hastily lifted her foot to follow. As she crossed the front door and entered the hall, she suddenly felt a faintly perceptible gaze fall upon her from the void.

“Ya!”

The Yaobao in her arms seed to sense this too, imdiately exhibiting a vigilant expression as it looked up.

“What’s wrong?” Billet asked, stopping in his tracks and glancing back.

Qiao Sang furrowed her brows, “It feels like soone is spying on .”

Indeed, spying—not just peeking.

As a Beast Tar of rising fa, Qiao Sang was accustod to feeling covert glances in her direction, but this sensation was different.

To have brain domain developnt exceeding thirty percent grants such keen perception… Billet was slightly surprised and chuckled:

“Don’t worry about it. That’s the sensory detection skill of a chanical Beast. On Chao Su Star, places with stricter access controls often employ such skills through chanical Beasts.”

“These locations pre-load requirents for entrants into the chanical Beast’s sensory skill program. Those who don’t et the criteria will be escorted out.”

“Ya.”

Yaobao understood and relaxed, withdrawing its gaze.

So there’s a skill like this… Qiao Sang’s curiosity was piqued, “What about soone who’s never been here before? With no prior information, how does it know if the person ets the criteria?”

“If they’ve never been here, then they don’t et the criteria,” Billet said. “That ans staff will co by shortly.”

No sooner had he said this than a staff mber in a sharp uniform, looking about twenty-seven years old, approached briskly with a respectful deanor and said:

“Miss Qiao Sang, the Energy Pool has been prepared for you. Please, allow

to guide you.”

Qiao Sang shot Billet a glance.

Billet coughed lightly and added, “What I ant was, the staff will co to register and check newcors who don’t et the criteria. If they qualify after inspection, there’s no issue. Your information must have been pre-registered.”

“What Mr. Billet says is correct,” the staff mber confird, perfectly pronouncing Billet’s na.

Evidently, their information had already been identified the mont they stepped through the door by the chanical Beast.

The staff mber led the way, explaining Ita Valley as they went:

“We have every type of facility related to Pet Beasts here. While your Pet Beast is in the Energy Bathing Pool later, you can explore and experience them.”

What? Experience everything? How much would that cost? Billet imdiately wanted to decline on Qiao Sang’s behalf, “Experience—”

The staff mber continued, “Because of the Honor Ring, all the activities you experience here today are free of charge.”

Qiao Sang turned to Billet. “Teacher, what were you just about to say?”

Billet paused, “Experience is good. You should properly try out all the various activities here.”

The staff mber adeptly guided them through the glass building, past a forest dense with various resting Pet Beasts, and to an area clearly enclosed by a semi-transparent Barrier.

Outside the Barrier was a virtual screen. Nearby lay a lion-like Pet Beast with golden fur, two curved horns on its head, its eyes shut, and wearing a Mini Shrinking Bracelet.

Suddenly, a chanical voice with a tone similar to Xun Xun’s rang out:

“Let

see… Jiema Lion, Psychic Series King Level Pet Beast. It loves to sleep; even when disturbed, it remains unfazed. But don’t assu it’s harmless just because it’s asleep. Keep in mind, skills it uses in its dreams will manifest in reality… Ah! This is a dangerous opponent… no! I advise you not to consider it an opponent!”

The three of them turned their gazes in the sa direction.

“Xun Xun~”

The little Xun Bao shut its mouth, retracted the Pet Beast Identifier, and vanished again.

The Jiema Lion continued sleeping, as if undisturbed.

So this one’s called the Jiema Lion… Qiao Sang retracted her gaze, glanced at the golden-furred figure, and thought she had learned sothing new.

As long as Xun Bao didn’t recklessly use the Pet Beast Identifier in the wild, she quite liked how it occasionally identified Pet Beasts and shared its findings.

After all, this way she could also gain a bit of knowledge.

The staff mber maintained a professional deanor, showing no curiosity at little Xun Bao’s sudden appearances and disappearances.

He approached the virtual screen and manipulated it briefly.

“Jiema…”

As his fingers made the final click, the Jiema Lion opened its eyes.

Its gaze swept forward.

Soon, the semi-transparent Barrier began to open slowly.

“Miss Qiao Sang, only selected quality Pet Beasts are allowed to enter this area alone,” the staff mber explained before stepping aside respectfully.

Qiao Sang ford a Seal Gesture with her hands and summoned Lubao.

Unlike usual, Lubao was now wearing an Immutable Stone around its neck.

“Go on,” Qiao Sang said gently to Lubao.

“Ya!” Yaobao cheered, urging it to absorb as much energy as possible.

It had no objection to its Beast Tar giving this opportunity to Lubao.

Compared to rely absorbing energy, it preferred enhancing its strength through battles.

“Bing’ai.”

Qiao Sang had already discussed the Energy Pool with Lubao beforehand. Lubao understood it had been chosen out of all companions to absorb energy.

It cast a deep, serious look at its Beast Tar, then turned resolutely toward the barrier and entered.

As Lubao stepped through the Barrier, the semi-transparent screen began closing again.

The Jiema Lion shut its eyes once more.

Lubao’s form grew smaller and soon disappeared from sight entirely.

“It will take approximately two hours for Bing’ai Palu to absorb energy,” the staff mber said. “During this ti, I’ll take you to see the most popular entertainnt project we have here at Ita Valley.”

anwhile.

Inside the Barrier.

A pool of erald-green water rippled gently, shimring as if imbued with magical vitality.

“Bing’ai…” From the first glance, Lubao was captivated by the pool.

Even before stepping into it, it could feel the potent and irresistibly alluring energy waves emanating from within.

With a determined expression, Lubao walked slowly into the water.

“Bing’ai…”

As its body beca fully subrged, Lubao couldn’t help but display a look of contentnt.

But it quickly rembered the purpose of its visit and began circulating energy.

The surrounding water imdiately began forming a whirlpool centered on Lubao.

“Bing’ai…”

Lubao could clearly feel its internal energy increasing.

It beca slightly excited but soon cald down and focused on diligently absorbing the energy.

As ti passed, the greenery of the pool water gradually faded.

On the other side.

“Soul traversal entertainnt is our most popular activity here,” the staff mber explained, pointing to several pods resembling gaming cabins:

“These devices are linked to the brain of Qian Nian Tika. Once inside, you can wake up randomly in the body of any living being across the globe.”

“It could be an ordinary animal, a Pet Beast, or even a human.”

“However, the host body must et two conditions: first, they must be in a state of sleep; second, their brain domain or spiritual power must be lower than yours.”

“One crucial note: if the host wakes from their sleep, your consciousness will return to your own body, ending the soul voyage early. So, be careful: to maximize your experience ti, avoid allowing the host body to get injured.”

Qiao Sang was taken aback. “Wouldn’t the host notice sothing unusual?”

The staff mber smiled, “They would simply attribute any anomalies to a Spectral-type Pet Beast or sleepwalking.”

Billet listened without any reaction.

This was the activity that had previously drained nearly two months of his salary at once…
