Chapter 702: Chapter 632: They All Have a Spectral-type Pet Beast

“When the boy’s eyesight returned, he found himself on the busy streetside.”

Shock and bewildernt were written across his face.

After a few seconds of dazed silence, the boy exclaid, “Is this teleportation?”

“No, this is spatial movent,” Qiao Sang corrected.

The boy, who had not undergone systematic learning, did not quite understand the difference between teleportation and spatial movent.

However, he knew that now was not the ti to be curious about these things.

“You really are an impressive Beast Tar,” the boy said to Qiao Sang, his tone sincere.

Qiao Sang accepted the flattery as her due and said, “Let’s find a place to sit down first, I need to call the police again.”

“Okay,” the boy agreed obediently, without objection.

The two of them walked into a café across the street.

After Qiao Sang ordered, she looked around and casually chose a place to sit down.

The boy sat opposite her.

Qiao Sang dialed the ergency number, reported her current location, then hung up.

“Can you tell

now what exactly is going on?” Qiao Sang asked.

The boy looked around briefly, fell silent for a few seconds, and then said, “My na is Tim, I’m from District 26. Two years ago, soone offered

a job and then brought

to District 19.”

At this point, a pained expression crossed his face, “I didn’t know they were up to these tricks. They made

steal, beg pathetically for money, and sotis even lead volatile wild Pet Beasts to crowded places.”

“I just wanted to make so simple money, but later I found out that many people like

were deceived, and so were even kidnapped.”

“I thought about escaping, but they had Beast Tars among them, and I couldn’t get away.”

“So, I thought about stealing sothing from those Beast Tars, because only a Beast Tar could possibly stand up to another Beast Tar. Either they let

go, or they just beat

up, until I t you.”

Gangbao listened quietly from the side, his expression contemplative.

So humans have their tragedies too…

This is pretty much what I expected; he was being controlled… But what’s with leading angry wild Pet Beasts into crowded areas? Is there a way to make money from this?… Qiao Sang didn’t dwell on this matter but instead asked, “Are they an organization? How many people are there? Are there many Beast Tars?”

Tim thought for a mont and replied, “They’re definitely an organization, I don’t know the exact number of people, but there are quite a few Beast Tars, and…”

As he got to this point, he subconsciously stole a glance at Xiao Xunbao and continued, “Most of those Beast Tars have a Spectral-type Pet.”

“Xun Xun…”

Xiao Xunbao pursed its lips, thinking you could just say it, why look at

when ntioning this…

Spectral-type Pets… Qiao Sang was no longer the greenhorn who needed to search the internet for every issue. At the ntion of Spectral Series, she imdiately thought of so concepts concerning them.

Different Pet Beasts evolve and absorb energy in different ways, and most Spectral-type Pets feed on bizarre energies, converting them into their own energy.

For example, human dreams, resentnts, fears, regrets, and even life…

No wonder… she thought sothing was off…

Stealing money could only yield so much, and as a Beast Tar with a high social status on Chao Su Star, one could do many things. Just fighting a couple matches in Pet Beast arenas could earn what ordinary people might make in a month of work.

Moreover, leading volatile wild Pet Beasts into crowds was hardly beneficial, but if they were collecting emotions like fear to feed Spectral-type Pets, that would make sense… After Qiao Sang sorted through her thoughts, she comforted him, “It’s all in the past. Wait for the police, and just tell them what you know.”

She didn’t intend to get involved further with this matter. A bunch of Beast Tars with Spectral-type Pets were capable of any depravity, and such tricky matters should be left to the police to handle.

Tim nodded, “Yeah, I understand.”

“Miss, your coffee and milk,” the staff mber brought over the drinks.

Qiao Sang pushed the milk forward and said, “I ordered this for you.”

“Thank you…” Tim was montarily startled before carefully taking a sip from the cup.

At that mont, a man in a police uniform pushed the door and entered.

Because of the conspicuous uniform, Qiao Sang noticed him imdiately.

The man had a thick set of sideburns, was tall but not imposing.

He first looked around as if searching for sothing, then his eyes landed on Qiao Sang, looked her up and down a few tis, and walked straight over:

“Hello, did you call the police?”

Qiao Sang nodded slightly, “Yes, I did.”

The sideburns officer looked at Tim and confird, “Is this the boy who stole your stuff on the subway?”

Tim got up and stood cautiously to one side.

“It’s true that he stole things,” Qiao Sang said. “But he was being controlled by soone.”

“It seems the case is a bit complicated; I will have to take him to the police station.” The sideburns officer gave Tim a deep look and said, “Please co with .”

Tim didn’t get excited about the police’s arrival; instead, he turned to Qiao Sang, asking solemnly:

“Can you tell

your na?”

Qiao Sang didn’t answer him but rely sipped the coffee in front of her and asked:

“Don’t you need

to go to the station as well?”

The sideburns officer was taken aback for a mont but then smiled, “No need.”

Having said that, he grabbed Tim, who was next to him, ready to leave.

Tim didn’t move; his face full of expectation as he looked toward the young Beast Tar who had helped him, hoping she would tell him her na.

Qiao Sang put down the coffee cup and rubbed her throbbing temples, saying indifferently:

“I’m afraid I can’t let you take him away.”

“Why?” the sideburns officer frowned.

Because I’m all too familiar with the process of calling the police and going to the station, your act is full of flaws; with so many people here, you ca in and before I even spoke, you determined it was

who called the police, and most importantly, you didn’t ask , the reporter of the incident, to go give a statent… Qiao Sang silently criticized in her mind, but outwardly, she remained calm, her face inscrutable.

Tim seed to realize sothing, his face showing panic as he struggled hard to break free from the sideburns man’s grip.

The sideburns man didn’t know where he had gone wrong, his face darkened, but still maintaining the police persona, he said:

“If you don’t cooperate, I’ll have to take forceful asures.”

As soon as he spoke, a voice sounded in his ear, “Xiao Xunbao.”

The sideburns man had a chill in his heart and let go of Tim’s arm, shouting loudly: “Shadow Assault!”

A dark shadow suddenly burst out from the sideburns man’s own shadow, rushing along the ground toward Qiao Sang’s direction.

Just as the dark shadow was about to reach Qiao Sang, she suddenly disappeared from the spot, along with Yaobao, Xiao Xunbao, and Gangbao.

The sideburns man’s eyes widened, then he seed to think of sothing, turned his head, and saw that Tim, who should have been beside him, had also vanished.

“!!!”

The sideburns man couldn’t hold back and let out a curse, “fuck!”

He took a deep breath, imdiately stepped forward, preparing to leave.

“Sir!” a staff mber called out to him.

The sideburns man turned his head, his face looking unpleasant.

The staff mber mustered courage and said, “The lady just now hasn’t paid yet.”

The sideburns man: “…”

In a narrow alley, Tim spoke with fear still on his face, “That man just now, wasn’t he a police officer?”

“He shouldn’t be,” Qiao Sang replied.

Tim was speechlessly stunned.

The phone vibrated just then.

Qiao Sang glanced at the caller ID but chose not to answer.

“Let’s not wait for the police; I’ll just take you there myself,” Qiao Sang said.
