The guide staff and security personnel stared wide-eyed at the scene in front of them, almost in sync.
“Why aren’t you helping the others?” Qiao Sang reminded them.
“But your safety…” The guide staff snapped back to reality, still hesitant.
Her job was to serve the VIPs, and in her mind, the VIP’s safety was far more important than that of the ordinary passengers.
“I can guarantee my own safety,” Qiao Sang said patiently.
Indeed, with the skill of Spatial Movent, even if danger arises, she can easily escape… The staff turned to look at the pet beast, which clearly had the appearance of a Spectral-type pet but was capable of Psychic Series skills, and decided to follow the instruction:
“Then please be careful. Once we deal with the wild pet beasts, we’ll return imdiately.”
Qiao Sang nodded slightly and said, “Got it.”
The staff and security personnel imdiately rushed to assist.
Qiao Sang walked to the edge of the glass curtain wall, gazing at the wild pet beasts on the tarmac and Fulanri, who was seated on the back of the unsightly Karon, battling the wild pet beasts in a pitiful state, along with other staff fighting against the wild beasts. Her expression was grim.
Their actions were far more ruthless than she had imagined; it seed they didn’t care at all about the chaos it might cause.
If she hadn’t been so cautious earlier, always staying hidden and instead chosen to take proactive asures, perhaps the situation wouldn’t have escalated into this ss…
Just as she was pondering, a two-ter-tall bird-like pet beast outside transford into a streak of white light, darting straight toward her direction.
“Ya Ya!”
Yaobao jumped down from its Beast Tar’s arms, glaring fiercely at the attacking wild pet beast, its claws tensing as it assud a battle-ready posture.
However, before it could make a move, the incoming bird-like pet beast seed to be crushed by an imnse force as it neared the glass curtain wall.
In a flash, like an afterimage, it plumted vertically to the ground and disappeared from sight.
Looks like the airport security personnel aren’t entirely unreliable… Qiao Sang thought to herself.
Just then, a violent explosion sounded from the direction of the departure hall.
Following that, ca a cacophony of noise and a symphony of piercing screams.
Hearing the commotion, Qiao Sang imdiately turned to the little Xun Bao and said, “Let’s head over.”
“Xun Xun~”
The little Xun Bao let out a sound, its eyes glowing blue.
Qiao Sang’s vision went dark.
When light returned, the scenery before her had already changed.
Though it was night, the airport wasn’t particularly crowded. But when everyone panicked and rushed toward one direction, it suddenly seed overwhelmingly congested.
Adding the summoned pet beasts fighting against the wild ones, the chaotic scene beca even more startling.
“What’s happening? What on earth is happening?” A simply dressed, heavily pregnant woman crouched under the check-in counter, her face pale and filled with disbelief.
Though the Thirtieth District was rife with wild pet beasts, so locations were universally acknowledged as safe, like the Beast Taming Center and the airport.
Even though occasionally a wild pet beast might intrude, it was a rare event and would be swiftly resolved.
But a situation where swarms of wild pet beasts invaded? This hadn’t occurred in the past century.
Trusting the airport’s security system, she had gritted her teeth and bought the expensive ticket.
Now, the pregnant woman’s eyes revealed her anxiety and fear as she unconsciously touched her belly.
“Tu Tu.”
Suddenly, a pet beast almost entirely orange-red with a bald patch at the center of its head — surrounded by a ring of fur — bent over and looked toward her.
“Ah!!!”
The pregnant woman’s pupils contracted sharply as she let out a scream of pure terror.
“Tu Tu…”
The bald-headed pet beast flinched in surprise and then turned its gaze to her large belly, slowly extending its claw.
The pregnant woman wanted to flee, but a sudden pain in her abdon caused her body to betray her, spasming and rendering her immobile.
Her face grew as pale as a sheet, filled with despair.
Just then, in her sight, a dazzling flash of fire streaked past, instantly sending the terrifying bald-headed pet beast flying backward.
“Are you okay?” Qiao Sang asked as she bent down.
“My, my belly hurts…” The pregnant woman looked at the black-haired girl before her, a glimr of hope rekindling in her eyes as she weakly pleaded, “I, I think I’m about to give birth…”
Qiao Sang’s gaze fell on her belly and, without delay, she said, “Lubao, Healing Light!”
“Bing’ai.”
Lubao opened its mouth, freezing a snake-like pet beast rushing toward its Beast Tar into ice. Then it approached the check-in counter, its gemstone glowing blue as it aid at the sweat-drenched human.
So painful, it hurts so much… How am I supposed to give birth in a situation like this… Huh? The pain’s gone? The pregnant woman blinked several tis, bewildered.
