"Gulp..."

Soone swallowed, their nervous gulp echoing in the eerily silent setting.

Could they have stumbled into a murder scene?

"It seems to be over there, right?" Esie caught the sweet, tallic scent of blood, his eyes gleaming with excitent in the darkness.

It was the sll of blood, truly delightful...

So, has it been completed?

Esie’s subtle gaze shifted toward Yu Man, catching the tension in her eyes.

His mood improved even more.

Yu Man quickly walked toward the direction the blood scent wafted from, and there she saw Song Chen lying on the ground, with a pool of blood beneath him...

Yu Man’s mind buzzed, almost causing her to blackout.

How could Song Chen... be injured?

"Song Chen!" Yu Man’s face turned deathly pale.

"Wife..." Song Chen looked weakly at Yu Man, his lips curving slightly to comfort her.

"I’m, I’m okay... not going to die."

Song Chen clutched his wound, his eyes bloodshot, glaring at Aliya, "This stab, I repay the debt of my life to you. From now on, we have nothing to do with each other!"

With that, he blacked out.

"Song Chen!" Yu Man glared at Bader, who still held the knife, her eyes red with anger, "What are you doing? He’s long ceased to be a mber of your Curry Family, and doesn’t care about your family’s wealth!"

Guan Heng quickly covered Manman’s eyes upon seeing the situation inside.

This scene wasn’t sothing a child should see.

He handed Yu Manman over to his people, promptly moving to Yu Man’s side to protect her.

Bader was also a bit dazed, "Father... mother..."

He, he didn’t... he didn’t...

Brenda frowned, a hint of disappointnt in her eyes.

Incompetent to achieve anything, but more than capable of ruining things.

But since things have co to this, he could only clean up the ss.

"Lady Yu Man, calm down. Song Chen suddenly lost control and tried to harm us. Bader was just trying to protect his mother and accidentally hurt him..."

"Impossible!" Yu Man declared firmly, "There’s nothing wrong with Song Chen’s mind!"

"You took Song Chen away, and now sothing’s happened to him. It’s clear you wanted to steal the Rest Pod’s technology and resorted to murder!"

"You’re crossing the line!" Yu Man said coldly, "I tell you, if anything happens to Song Chen, I won’t rest until I settle the score with you!"

"Guan Heng... quickly... save Song Chen..." Yu Man’s voice trembled slightly.

"Hurry! Save him!" Guan Heng commanded his people to carefully carry the unconscious Song Chen out, protecting Yu Man, fearing she might faint any second.

"Fa-Father..." Bader looked helplessly at Brenda.

Brenda gave him a look, signaling him to stay calm.

What was there to worry about? At most, it would be considered excessive self-defense. What could happen?

But now, the matter of the Rest Pod tech was likely ruined.

Brenda and Aliya both had dark expressions.

Their plan was to bring Song Chen here, intimidate and tempt him. If Song Chen was sensible, they wouldn’t have to activate the plan.

But if Song Chen wasn’t sensible, then as planned, they’d use drugs to stimulate Song Chen’s Spiritual Sea, creating the illusion that he lost control and killed.

The original plan was for Bader to get seriously injured, for him to subdue Song Chen, and send him to prison.

If Song Chen sensibly handed over the Rest Pod technology and publicly declared it was stolen from their Curry Family, they could find a way to bail him out without dwelling on the matter.

If he still wasn’t sensible, they would team up with the Burton Family to testify that the venue was Nasi’s father’s property, and that Song Chen had long harbored a grudge against the Curry Family, luring them to the secret chamber to act.

The Burton Family had been declining for years, and as long as the benefits were enough, they would surely agree.

Then, they would expose how Song Chen almost killed his cousin as a child. With this precedent and the Spiritual Sea test report, the public would surely believe them.

But now... the situation has changed.

Brenda glanced at his son, suspecting that Bader either didn’t have the guts to harm himself but accidentally stabbed Song Chen, or secretly wished for Song Chen’s death.

The well-laid plan had thus failed.

If it were Bader lying on the ground now, the wife would certainly favor him, and his position as the heir would be secure.

Brenda looked at the pool of blood on the ground, a hint of irritation flashing in his eyes.

The most important thing now was to watch Song Chen and confirm issues with his Spiritual Sea, otherwise, they would only suffer more losses!

As he left, Brenda t Esie’s eyes.

Their original plan was to monopolize the Rest Pod technology, but they had been caught by the Burles family and had to share...

Profiting while others fight is no easy feat, is it?

If things were exposed, they’d drag them down with them!

Esie received Brenda’s implied threatening gaze and smirked disdainfully.

Expecting him to clean up their ss? They didn’t even accomplish the task, and they have the gall?

The Burles family was innocent from start to finish. Hosting a proper banquet, yet because they ssed up, they haven’t even settled accounts yet with them.

When Yu Man returned to the banquet hall, the police had already arrived.

The guests at the banquet gasped seeing Song Chen, covered in blood, being carried away, their suspicious eyes turning to Aliya.

Rumor had it she was ruthless, and they hadn’t expected it to be true—murdering even her own son for profit?

Aliya’s face darkened; she’d never been so disgraced.

"Hurry and follow up..." Aliya instructed the Beast Husband in a low voice.

The drugs they used were high-tech, unlikely to be detected, but if Song Chen’s Spiritual Sea recovered midway, they’d be unable to clear their nas.

Brenda understood his wife’s aning and imdiately followed, telling the dics transporting Song Chen, "His Spiritual Sea has issues; you should be careful, he might hurt people!"

"You’re really trying to shift the bla! I think you’re the one with a Spiritual Sea issue!" Guan Heng sneered, "Song Chen has been stabbed half-dead by your son, and you still want to tornt him? Hoping he’d die en route?"

"Whether there is an issue, a test will reveal!" Brenda said with a stern face, "If he hadn’t suddenly snapped and attacked, why would my son have acted!"

"I know, Bader overreacted, but we’ll cover Song Chen’s dical expenses!"

As Brenda spoke with a righteous air, Yu Man looked up at him, "Testing the Spiritual Sea, right? Okay, if there’s no issue with Song Chen, you must personally send Bader to prison."

Bader’s brow twitched, looking anxiously at Brenda, "Dad..."

"Alright!" Brenda agreed, looking righteous and upright, "If he’s free of issues, I’ll enforce justice!"

Yu Man smirked slightly, "Fine, then you can co with us in the ambulance."

Brenda nodded as a matter of course; he couldn’t let Song Chen receive Spiritual Sea purification.
