Chapter 859: Chapter 857: No rits, No Faults? Chapter 859: Chapter 857: No rits, No Faults? “Are you suggesting he might be lying to ?” Yan Ze’s expression was sowhat displeased; if so, it would be as if soone had trampled his dignity as the Main System into the ground!
[The Main System is angry,]Xiaoi told Sally.
Sally was stunned for a mont, then looked at Yan Ze, “Uh… well, maybe I’m just overthinking it. Why don’t you check? Isn’t there a Supervision System? Right, where’s He Cheng?”
[He has reincarnated,]Xiaoi told Sally.
Sally: […]
“I’ll go find He Cheng,” Yan Ze told Sally.
“Oh, okay,” Sally nodded.
As soon as Yan Ze left, Sally asked Xiaoi, [What if Linai deceived Yan Ze?]
[Other Systems might be manageable, but the Main System reactivating Linai, against other Hosts’ disapproval and insisting on giving him a chance, requires extra caution.]
“Yanyan, I need to make a trip to the Level 13 Civilization and won’t be back for half a month,” King approached Sally.
Sally smiled in response, “Sure, the kids have . You go do what you need to.”
King hesitated, “You… you won’t leave the Heaven Palace, will you?”
“Of course not, where could I go with this big belly?” Sally patted her flat abdon, which showed no signs of pregnancy.
King’s exceptionally handso and slightly weary face brightened with a pure, seemingly transparent smile, “Alright! I’ll return as soon as I can.”
A strange feeling suddenly surged in Sally’s heart, but on second thought, it remained unclear.
…
Little Nannan ca to find Sally, holding Little Dot in her arms.
“Mom, I want to go out and play with brother. But there’s a defensive formation around the Heaven Palace; we can’t leave.”
“Go out? Go where?” Sally looked at the two of them—though they were siblings, it was the younger sister holding the brother…
Although Little Nannan hadn’t grown as quickly as she did in her first seven days after birth, she was now about 1.3 ters tall, holding Little Dot like a big cat—only this cat had extra head and legs!
“We want to go to the World Vine.”
“That White Vine, it’s here too?”
“Yes.”
“Is it far from here?”
“Not far. Just outside the Heaven Palace, you can see a huge aerial White Waterfall right behind it.”
Sally had seen the White Waterfall before, “Then, how about Mom takes you both there?”
“Yes, please. Thank you, Mom!” Little Nannan said with a joyful smile.
Sally herself couldn’t just leave, but she had Xiaoi, who quickly helped Sally bypass the protection system.
Little Qianzhi didn’t co along; she was snoozing lazily…
Sally touched Little Nannan’s head, which already reached her chest, “My daughter really grows fast.”
“But I don’t want to grow up so quickly,” Little Nannan looked a bit downcast.
Sally asked, “What’s wrong?”
“It signifies that my dad will… age soon,” Little Nannan grew even more distressed.
“That’s quite normal, all beings reproduce and propagate to continue the outstanding lineage, and you are the continuation of your dad’s lineage.”
“Mom, we’ve reached the White Waterfall,” Little Dot exclaid excitedly, pointing to the sky.
Sally looked up… A waterfall glittering like a galaxy hung in the sky, magically beautiful and utterly breathtaking.
But the waterfall’s water didn’t fall, “Is it the refraction of light and shadow?”
“Mom, this is a real waterfall,” Little Nannan said to Sally. “The water is used to irrigate the World Vine.”
“Let’s go take a look.” Sally took the children and had Xiaoi teleport them there.
As they ca closer to the White Waterfall, they could feel its imnsity! It was like an inverted ocean, the loud sound of the water deafening!
And beyond the White Waterfall, a withering White Vine could be seen!
Its spikes had beco sharper, its leaves began to wilt, turning a wan and ashen gray, and the vine itself started to reject water, becoming more resilient, its thick fibrous innards gradually more apparent like veins, conveying a feeling of an age ending in lancholy sadness.
Sally took the two children to the base of the White Vine.
The soil at its roots was golden.
The water flowing backwards from the White Waterfall was all absorbed by the golden soil at the base of the White Vine, not a drop wasted. Yet, it still hadn’t perked up.
Little Dot’s eyes lit up and he suggested to Sally, “Mom, use Divine Water!”
“Will that work? Don’t make it worse,” Sally cautioned, not daring to use it recklessly.
Little Nannan also said, “Mom, you could try.”
Sally took out a green-colored gourd from the System Space, “Alright, but if your dad is going to bla soone, you two must share so of the responsibility.”
Little Nannan nodded, “No problem.”
Sally opened the green gourd, which contained Divine Qi from the Divine Realm, rich enough to have condensed into Divine Liquid. This small gourd of Divine Liquid was a gift from Jian, who had brought it from the Origin Realm, given by one of the children’s Great Ancestors. It could be Pan Huang, or soone from the Ancient Angel Tribe…
The Divine Liquid was absorbed by the White Vine along with the water from the White Waterfall!
Sally and the two children anxiously waited… but nothing happened.
“That’s good,” Sally sighed in relief, glad that the White Vine didn’t beco more listless or decay further.
No harm done.
“Why didn’t it work?” Little Dot couldn’t understand how so much Divine Liquid couldn’t at least perk it up a little.
“It might be that things from Beast World just don’t work here,” Sally replied.
Xiaoi told Sally, “Useful, Host. Although it seems ineffective on the surface, the internal data of the White Vine has gone from almost stagnant to a bit more active. It’s just that the amount is too little, Host should collect more of the world’s origin.”
“The world’s origin? That’s the World Tree.” Sally realized, “Using sothing of similar nature, the World Vine can be supplented with the World Tree.”
“The World Tree might not work.” Xiaoi analyzed further, “The Divine Liquid you brought has a type of mystical energy that the White Vine finds useful.”
“What is it?”
“Xiaoi can extract it, but there’s nothing in the current database that explains or relates to it.”
“Print out the data and I’ll have King make of it what he can.”
“Alright, Host.”
Suddenly, Little Dot jumped onto the White Vine.
Little Nannan hurriedly called out, “Brother, co down!”
Little Dot, stepping on the thorns of the White Vine and leaping upwards playfully, answered, “Little Nannan, this is fun.”
“Hm?” Little Nannan thought it looked fun, but knew the White Vine wasn’t suitable for casual play, “Better not, brother, co down quickly.”
Sally, looking at the limp leaves of the White Vine, told Little Dot, “Pluck a leaf for , I want to study what’s wrong with it.”
“Okay.” Little Dot bit down, ‘crunch~’ ‘crunch~’… each of his four heads took one leaf.
Little Nannan watched, conflicted and anxious, but seeing no response from the White Vine, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, “Brother, co down quickly.”
With each mouth holding a leaf, Little Dot jumped back into Sally’s arms.
Sally, cradling him, first stowed three leaves away, asking Xiaoi to also help with the research while she visually inspected the remaining one.
The star-shaped leaf had a layer of smooth, dense fuzz on it and felt handmade, like the finest brocade silk, extrely smooth.
From the System Space, Sally retrieved two sets of small tables and chairs along with a set of experintal equipnt, “Co, sit down, and Mom will teach you an outdoor class.”
