"Duel!" Hu's eyes shot out flas of fury.
"Alright." Jun actually let out a sigh of relief; this way, he could openly have her.
Sally watched the two of them, and they vanished in an instant. Quickly running out, she saw dark clouds swirling in the sky, and a roc that blotted out the sun, its whole body blazing with golden flas.
Opposite the roc was a human-shaped Jun.
He reverted to his black robe, arms hanging at his sides, standing barefoot in the air, his gaze extrely calm, "You can't beat ."
"I've never fought seriously before, who knows the outco." Hu's fighting spirit reached its peak at this mont.
Jun slowly raised his left hand, holding a snow-white feather between his fingers. Suddenly, he released his fingers, and the feather began to fall.
Sally watched the feather, not understanding its aning, nervously clenching her fists.
At the mont the feather touched the ground, the roc and the human figure tangled together in a fierce battle.
An elder with a head full of white hair appeared next to Sally, "Are you Xiao Yan?"
Sally was startled and quickly stepped aside, "Who are you?"
"They call Old Ape." The elder looked at her, "Where do you co from?"
"It's a long story."
"No rush, take your ti. Their battle won't end in less than two months."
"..." Sally touched her stomach, "I'm hungry, do you have any food, sir?"
"Of course." Old Ape smiled kindly, then waved his hand, and a square table made of top-grade Chaos Jade appeared, covered with fresh fruit and a mountain of Beast Cores.
Sally's eyes turned red when she saw the Beast Cores, and she imdiately dashed over, grabbing handfuls of Beast Cores and stuffing them into her mouth, swallowing them in large gulps... as if she had lost her mind!
And no matter how many Beast Cores she ate, more kept appearing.
Old Ape's gaze fell on her abdon, vaguely sensing sothing moving inside.
A small cub, drawn by the sll of food, had arrived.
Eventually, it jumped onto the table and began eating with Sally... and seeing it, Sally's ravenous eating finally slowed.
"Jian?"
Little Jian glanced at her, then lowered his head to continue eating.
"You know him?" Old Ape stroked Little Jian's back.
Little Jian rubbed against him coquettishly, then kept eating.
"He is... my mate." Sally pulled down her collar, revealing the mate mark Jian left on her chest.
Little Jian sensed sothing, looked up at her, finally gazing at that mate mark, blinked, then lowered his head to keep eating the Beast Cores...
"You co from the future." Old Ape stated confidently.
"For this ti period, I indeed co from later generations." Sally stuffed another Beast Core in her mouth, swallowing without chewing, as it transford into a warm stream down her throat, "I was struck here by a Heavenly Tribulation."
"Tribulation?"
"Yes."
"Hu and Jun are dueling over you, which do you favor?"
"Their duel is not my will. Also, even if Jun loses, I still won't accept Hu, because his son, the Nine Heavens Kunpeng, is my mate, and I should actually call Hu father-in-law." Themostup‑to‑dateversionison.
"Oh?" Old Ape was surprised, "He will have a son in the future?"
"Almost just like him." Sally continued eating the Beast Cores, "What kind of Beast Cores are these? How are there so many?"
"These are not Beast Cores; they are Wild Beast at Eggs that failed to transform." Old Ape replied.
"Wild Beast at Eggs?" Sally was taken aback.
"Little Jian succeeded in his transformation." Old Ape stroked Little Jian, "Although these can't transform, they're ford by the creation of Heaven and Earth, and can be used as food to nurture these successfully transford Desolate Beasts."
"..." Sally suddenly thought of when she was pregnant with Little Guoguo, Jian fed her so dry Beast Cores, which, after being restored using the Ancient Mother Cauldron, resembled these at Eggs!
"Whose child are you carrying?" Old Ape asked.
"Child?" Sally looked down at her belly, not knowing when it had beco so big!
Looking at the Wild Beast at Eggs, she understood that her previously flat stomach was due to a lack of nutrition, and the Wild Beast at Eggs were perfect foods that provided the necessary nourishnt for the fetus to grow.
There was no need to find a male at all!
After chatting about many future events with Old Ape, who kept supplying her with Wild Beast at Eggs,
Little Jian, having eaten his fill, went off to play without caring for Sally, his wife!
Two months later, Sally's belly had grown significantly.
Hu and Jun's battle also concluded.
Jun won, but not easily, looking quite pale.
Especially upon seeing Sally with a belly like a drum, his expression worsened!
Sally apologized, "Well, to be honest... I ca here to undergo a tribulation, the Childbirth Tribulation. I initially thought I needed to find a male to conceive, so I sought you out. Later I realized that I've already had a fetus in my belly and only need food to nurture it. Originally, I wanted to leave secretly, but thought it wasn't right to just go like that, so I've waited for you to co back to explain face-to-face."
"... Let's go inside." Jun opened the door.
In two months, the small wooden house had quite changed.
Under Sally's arrangents, it had beco cozy and elegant.
A plaid tablecloth covered the stone table, with a crystal vase holding a bouquet of colorful little flowers on top.
A plush carpet was spread on the floor, soft and comfortable to tread on. The stone bed had a mattress and a floating soft quilt of light silk.
In front of the window draped with plain curtains, there was a dressing table with an array of delicate little makeup bottles and jars.
His traces were nowhere to be found here; it was all hers.
Jun turned and walked out again.
Sally blocked him, "Don't leave; if anyone should go, it's ."
With that, Sally took a backpack from behind the door and walked to the dressing table, collecting the makeup on top, "You can have everything else. Of course, if you don't like them, you can throw them away."
Jun looked at her big belly, "Where will you go? Who will take care of you?"
"I..." Sally glanced at her Space Ring, "I'll just go back to the Rat Hole I stayed in before. Don't worry about food, I've stored so."
Old Ape had given her plenty of transformation-failed Wild Beast at Eggs, providing enough food to raise the fetus.
Whether this fetus was an empty sac or a real child was uncertain, perhaps only known when the tribulation was over.
Jun took the bottles from her backpack again and arranged them, "You stay here; I'll go get you so food."
With that, he went out.
Sally looked at his back, hesitated a mont, then collected them all.
If it was any of her Beast Husbands, regardless of whether the child she carried was theirs or not, she could make them responsible.
But not with Jun; she relied on him initially out of necessity for survival.
Now that she had food, to continue relying on him would be wrong.
After packing all her personal belongings, Sally touched her belly, feeling noticeable fetal movents, and left the small wooden house.
Just as she stepped out, Little Jian appeared.
All four of his heads were looking at her and her backpack, "Are you leaving?"
"Yes!" Sally smiled, "I feel I'm about to give birth, and I need to find a place for labor. We'll et again later."
"Alright, we'll play again when we et next." Little Jian jumped and soon disappeared.
Would Jian in the future rember this?
Probably not, as she was undergoing a tribulation, and this ti was like a Fragnt. Once she passed this tribulation, the Fragnt would vanish like an illusory bubble, leaving no trace.
