The hurricane howled, fierce winds uprooting enormous trees.
Beastn struggled to keep their footing; only a few Purple Crystal and Golden Crystal Beastn braved the storm to erge from their tree hollows.
A gigantic tree crashed down before these powerful Beastn, temporarily blocking their path.
"Why can Jin Yao walk in such a wind?" a Beastman asked.
"I don’t know. The Dragon Princess has co out too."
That Beastman promptly rapped his companion on the head. "How can you compare the Dragon Princess with Jin Yao? The Dragon Princess can rip through space to save people! Besides, the Dragon Princess surely has several Special Ability Beast Husbands!"
"Oh!" "Yes!" the Beastn responded.
"Several of you, go protect the Dragon Princess!"
"Yes!"
A few male Beastn followed Si Yan, heading into the hurricane.
A young Beastman leaped onto the fallen tree, pointing at Jin Yao amidst the storm, and shouted, "Jin Yao is really taking Han Shuang to the Beast God Ancestral Hall!"
One after another, the Beastn jumped over the massive tree.
The Golden Dragon Beastn following Si Yan asked, "Dragon Princess, do you need help?"
The Emperor Serpent Beastman shot them a cold glance, then, with strong arms, gently embraced Si Yan. With a flash of his figure, they both appeared on the other side of the tree.
The other Beastn were speechless. So the Dragon Princess’s Zheng Xiong, who seed so unassuming, was actually a Beastman with a Special Ability!
"Si Yan..."
Si Yan turned and saw Jin Ting walking towards her.
"Is there sothing you need?" Si Yan asked, her tone cool and distant.
Jin Ting smiled wryly. Si Yan had always been cool and polite towards him. Jin Ting could feel that Si Yan didn’t dislike him, yet she was also not at all close to him.
Jin Ting said to Wang Dao, "Lord, may I have a word with your Mistress?"
Wang Dao exchanged a glance with Si Yan. After receiving her affirming nod, he turned away indifferently to watch the two of them from a short distance. He noted a slight resemblance in their eyes and brows.
"Why are you looking for ?" Si Yan asked.
Jin Ting paused, then looked towards where Han Shuang had gone. "About what happened back then, I think you should know, even though it might deepen the rift between you and Mother."
Si Yan was a little surprised. "Alright, go on."
Speaking in the storm was exhausting, so Jin Ting infused his voice with a bit of Beast Power to ensure Si Yan could hear him clearly.
"In the tribe, the status of a Dragon Princess is high. When you were born, there were celestial portents; the heavens and earth shone in unison. The Dragon Princess’s entire aura seed to envelop you."
"Although I was young at the ti, I sensed that besides loving you, Mother might have also been a little jealous of you."
"All of us brothers were raised by Mother’s Beast Husbands. Only you, with Mother claiming it was due to her overwhelming love, were kept by her side and personally nurtured by her. It’s just..." Jin Ting sighed. "She might not have been as attentive as she should have been."
Jin Ting was being extrely tactful with his words. The truth was, Han Shuang had insisted on personally raising Si Yan, allowing no other Beastman to interfere. However, she often left the newborn Si Yan alone in the Dragon Nest while she went out to play with the other Beastn of the tribe. Si Yan was left with no one to feed her or care for her. Young Jin Ting, upon finding Si Yan wailing alone in the Dragon Nest, had to bring a bleating beast from outside to nurse her. Little Si Yan loved to smile, and back then, Jin Ting especially enjoyed making her laugh.
Jin Ting then continued, "So, after you were stolen, she was consud by self-reproach."
Han Shuang’s emotions were complex. On one hand, she loved her female cub; on the other, she was jealous of her. But she had never wished for her own cub to vanish. So, after Si Yan went missing, she finally realized her own negligence had led to her daughter’s disappearance. She felt guilty and was driven to madness, hoping her frenzy would dissipate her guilt. Thus, when the Black Priest arrived with an Earth Dragon female cub, she accepted her without a second thought. She had made a mistake and now saw a chance to make ands! She redirected all the care and compensation she felt she owed Si Yan towards Jin Yao!
Si Yan suddenly laughed, a scornful sound.
After Jin Ting left, Wang Dao ca to Si Yan’s side.
Her eyes dimd slightly, her eyelashes trembling gently. She had experienced those dreams, so her heart was sealed with concrete. When facing such a family, the best way to protect herself was to hold no expectations. She appeared nonchalant, yet she was, after all, a person of flesh and blood. Who wouldn’t care for the love of their father and mother?
Her small hand was tightly clasped by a large, distinctly-jointed one.
Wang Dao looked down at her, concern and distress in his eyes. His gaze swept towards the Ancestral Hall, glinting with murderous intent. "Baby, do you want to kill that female for you?"
Si Yan looked up. She shook her head gently and smiled at the one who cared for her. "Wang, can you let handle it myself?"
The Serpent Beastman was slightly surprised, then nodded.
Nearby, anger flickered in Ming Ji’s eyes. What happened to Si Yan back then also involved him; after all, he was the one who had stolen her away. However, if he hadn’t, her life with that ’mother’ might not have been any better. Unlike in that other world, when it ca to ’loving her,’ he, Ming Jiu, and their parents in that world had been utterly sincere.
Ming Ji suddenly stepped forward, grabbing Si Yan’s hand. Si Yan had no choice but to follow him.
"What are you doing, Brother!"
Ming Ji turned to her. "Why stay here? Co with ; let’s leave this place. So what if it’s not a perfect family? Ming Jiu and I will create another one for you."
Si Yan gently pushed his hand away.
Ming Ji said, puzzled, "Si Yan!"
Si Yan gave a light, dismissive laugh. "I never liked her. It doesn’t matter that much. You all can rest assured."
"This is terrible! Terrible! Jin Yao is about to push Han Shuang, the Dragon Princess, off the cliff!" a Beastman shouted in panic.
The Ancestral Hall of the Golden Dragon Tribe was built on the precipice of the highest cliff.
Si Yan and her companions rushed over, arriving just in ti to see Jin Yao, expressionless, pushing Han Shuang off the cliff.
Jin Ting and his brothers instantly transford into dragons, diving straight towards Han Shuang to rescue her.
However, at that mont, Shi Bo also suddenly transford into a dragon, confronting Jin Ting and the others in mid-air.
Jin Yao spat disdainfully in Han Shuang’s direction, then turned emotionlessly and walked towards the Ancestral Hall.
The Golden Dragon Beastn were preoccupied with rescuing Han Shuang; no one was free to stop her.
At that mont, the air around Si Yan suddenly beca ethereal, and she seed to rge with her surroundings.
She beca inconspicuous; except for those closest to her, hardly anyone could sense her presence.
She silently followed Jin Yao, entering the vast Beast God Ancestral Hall with her.
Inside the Beast God Ancestral Hall, Jin Yao laughed maniacally. "Haha, the Beast God’s legacy! The Beast God’s legacy is mine!"
She ran forward frantically, but the hall was empty. She panicked. "Where are the things? Where are they? Where is the Beast God’s legacy?!"
"It’s in my hands." Si Yan suddenly appeared before Jin Yao.
"Si Yan!!" Jin Yao’s expression instantly twisted into panic. She was terrified of Si Yan and retreated continuously until her back hit the wall.
Si Yan looked down, her expression inscrutable. "Jin Yao, you truly are hard to kill."
"But today is your day to die."
