309 White Light Barrier
“Cough, cough…”
Shen Fei coughed as he covered the wound on his broken arm and retreated to a safe area.
The Green-winged Draconic Bat floated in mid-air, its blood-red eyes watching Shen Fei, as though it was thinking about sothing.
“Roar!” A mont later, the Green-winged Draconic Bat let out a low growl and suddenly turned around and flew away, quickly disappearing into the vast night.
“Not good, sothing must have happened. Otherwise, the Green-winged Draconic Bat would not have left so easily. Let’s hurry and catch up to it,” Qian Yu quickly said.
Shen Fei swallowed a pill to heal most of his injuries. Then, they quickly caught up to the Green-winged Draconic Bat.
The speed of the Green-winged Draconic Bat was so fast that it disappeared into the night in the blink of an eye. Shen Fei and the other two chased after it relentlessly.
However, after pursuing it for a long ti, they still could not find the Green-winged Draconic Bat.
Shen Fei was puzzled and asked, “That’s strange. Why did it suddenly leave?”
His brows were knitted tightly, and he kept feeling that sothing was amiss. The Green-winged Draconic Bat was definitely not that simple-minded. It must be up to sothing. Shen Fei guessed that the Green-winged Draconic Bat might be summoning other beasts, which was why it flew away.
As he thought of this, Shen Fei’s heart was filled with worry.
“Let’s keep this up first. I think it has sothing to do with Li Ruoying,” Qian Yu said.
“Alright, then.” Shen Fei nodded and they continued their pursuit.
However, as they continued onward, a white light suddenly appeared in the dark night ahead. The white light was extrely glaring, illuminating the pitch-black night sky and driving away the darkness.
Shen Fei and the other two imdiately increased their speed and approached the white light. When they got closer, they could clearly see the source of the light.
“What…?”
Shen Fei and the other two were dumbfounded as they stared at the figure under the white light.
“It’s Li Ruoying!” Shen Fei was overjoyed. ‘Li Ruoying didn’t get caught up in the fight with the bat! Maybe she fled here.’
“Li Ruoying, how are you?” Shen Fei excitedly rushed toward the ball of white light. But then he suddenly stopped.
The white light was too still and unresponsive. Shen Fei frowned. He circulated his elental Qi and poured it into his palm. Then, he slamd his palm onto the surface of the white light.
In an instant, a strong rebound force was transmitted from the white light, causing Shen Fei to stagger back a few steps.
“What the hell is this? How can it be so strong?!” Shen Fei asked in shock.
“This is the white light barrier,” Aloy said.
“White light barrier?” Shen Fei was confused.
Aloy explained, “The white light barrier is a special energy barrier that exotic beasts use when they charge up their energy. It has an extrely strong defense.”
Shen Fei nodded slowly. He tried again and swung his fist at it, bombarding the white light barrier, but it was futile.
“This thing is too sturdy!” Shen Fei sighed in annoyance.
Why would Li Ruoying be placed inside the white light barrier by the exotic beasts?
Shen Fei and the other two stood back, quietly observing the barrier. They had to plan their next move on how to deal with it. The defensive power contained in this thing was too terrifying. If Shen Fei was not careful, his next move could backfire and turn him into a pile of pulpy flesh.
“There! That should be the weak point of the white light barrier. As long as you attack the weakest point, it should be destroyed!” Aloy pointed at a crack on the white light barrier.
“So that’s how it is.” Shen Fei understood as well, and his eyes had a sharp glint to it.
Shen Fei imdiately walked to the edge of the crack and directed his vital Qi into his hand. He then clenched his fist and…
…A wave of vital Qi surged into Shen Fei’s fist. He clenched hard and swung it, blasting the crack in the barrier.
Bang!
The force of his strike poured into the cracks, and there was a deafening sound like a thunderclap. However, the mont he touched the crack, Shen Fei felt a terrifying force sweep out.
Boom!
Shen Fei was sent flying back, and he fell to the ground. He got back to his feet with difficulty and looked at the white light barrier.
Although the punch just now did not break the white light barrier, it made a fine crack where he struck.
Shen Fei’s eyes lit up as he excitedly said, “There’s a chance! I’ll definitely be able to blast it open with a few more tries!”
Thus, Shen Fei continued to bombard the white light barrier, causing the crack to expand and widen.
Just as Shen Fei was about to strike the white light barrier one last ti, an angry roar suddenly echoed from the sky not far away. Then, the Green-winged Draconic Bat zipped through the air, bringing with it a berserk aura as it flew over them.
‘It’s the Green-winged Draconic Bat again!’
The beast let out a long cry, spread its wings, and swooped down.
Seeing this, Shen Fei did not dodge or hide, he stomped on the ground and leaped up. In the instant that he was about to close in with the beast, Shen Fei suddenly raised his fist and smashed it at the bat’s abdon with all his strength.
Shen Fei’s attack evoked a series of loud noises from the Green-winged Draconic Bat. Its stomach squird, and a painful wail ca from it.
Shen Fei quickly gave his order to the Fla Owl, “Fla Owl, Flaming Bramble Inferno!”
In an instant, the Fla Owl’s body flared up as flas started burning around it.
“Roar!” The Green-winged Draconic Bat let out an angry roar, and the scales on its back emitted a dazzling white light.
Swish!
As the white light flickered, a transparent light barrier appeared beside the Green-winged Draconic Bat, blocking the sea of fire that was shot at it. At the sa ti, the Green-winged Draconic Bat flapped its wings, bringing with it gusts of strong wind that blew away the flas.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, the bat quickly rushed out toward the Fla Owl.
Swish!
The Fla Owl swept out with its tail and created a hurricane, hitting the Green-winged Draconic Bat’s body.
Bang!

The Green-winged Draconic Bat was sent flying and landed on the ground with a heavy thump. The ground cracked under its weight.
A few of the feathers on the Fla Owl’s tail were shattered, turning into a cloud of smoke that floated away. However, the Fla Owl had already recovered and charged toward the Green-winged Draconic Bat.
“Hiss!” The exotic beast let out a shrill cry again. It had obviously suffered significant damage.
Bang!
The Fla Owl rushed over and kicked the side of the Green-winged Draconic Bat’s waist, sending it flying again, and it crashed into a thicket of ancient trees.
Crack, crack, crack! With a sound like bones breaking, the Green-winged Draconic Bat crashed through several trees and fell unconscious again.
The Fla Owl’s huge body did a sorsault in the air before it gracefully landed on the ground. It looked down at Shen Fei as if it awaited his instructions.
“Qian Yu, Aloy, you two go and rescue Li Ruoying. I will deal with the Green-winged Draconic Bat,” Shen Fei ordered.
“Got it!”
Aloy and Qian Yu nodded in unison, then they rushed toward the white light barrier. In the next mont, the Green-winged Draconic Bat appeared in front of Qian Yu and Aloy, blocking their way.
“Ice Spirit, Bone-piercing Chill!” Aloy yelled, and the Ice Spirit quickly flew at the Green-winged Draconic Bat.
...
All of a sudden, it entered the Green-winged Draconic Bat’s body, and the Green-winged Draconic Bat’s body was instantly covered in frost. Its body was stiff and it could not move!
