The visual impact of the scene before them was simply overwhelming.
The vast examination field was eerily silent, with only the bubbling sound of magma echoing through the air. Everyone stared in stunned silence at the red-colored pet beast standing proudly atop the molten lava.
No one knew how much ti had passed before the dry voice of the examiner finally broke the silence:
"The first round of the examination is over."
A few seconds later, everyone suddenly stood up in unison, their breathing quickened as if they had only just realized they had witnessed sothing unbelievable.
"Oh my god! What kind of skill was that? That was terrifying!"
"I know, I know! That Beastmaster said the skill’s na earlier! I rember, it’s called Lava Purgatory!"
"Ah! I looked it up! It's an ultra-tier skill! This is an ultra-tier skill!"
"Holy crap! I knew it! No high-tier skill could be this terrifying, it had to be ultra-tier!"
"Damn it! Who’s the expert pretending to be a rookie in this C-rank Beastmaster exam?"
"I swear on my receding hairline, there’s no way that’s just a General-rank pet beast!"
So people even pulled out their phones, frantically taking pictures of the now completely crimson battlefield to send to their friends or post online.
Ultra-tier skills were usually exclusive to high-level Beastmasters' pet beasts, sothing rarely seen in everyday life. Yet, here they were, witnessing one in a re C-rank Beastmaster exam.
It was like a dream!
A pet beast that couldn’t be identified by the pet detector, combined with the ultra-tier skill Lava Purgatory, these two factors stacked together instantly shrouded Qiao Sang in an air of mystery.
At this mont, everyone was imnsely curious about Qiao Sang’s age and background.
By all appearances, the girl standing on the field looked like a minor, far too young to be taking a C-rank Beastmaster exam.
Yet, her pet beast could use an ultra-tier skill.
Which raised another question, if her pet beast was capable of such a skill, how could she still be taking a re C-rank examination?
It was all just too mysterious!
The mystery was so compelling that no one sat back down for a long ti.
A middle-aged man approached a red-haired woman nearby and asked, "I saw you talking to her earlier. Do you know her?"
The red-haired woman kept her eyes fixed on Qiao Sang in the arena and murmured, "Not really."
The middle-aged man was unwilling to give up and pressed further, "Do you know how old she is?"
The red-haired woman hesitated for a mont before answering, "Sixteen..."
The man rolled his eyes, then returned to his seat without asking any more questions.

The examination was temporarily halted.
The battlefield had been completely consud by lava and was no longer usable.
anwhile, the examiner's Snow Concealnt Sphere had been sent to the third-floor pet beast dical center for ergency treatnt.
If Qiao Sang had known the examiner had left for this reason, she would’ve at least given Snow Concealnt Sphere a Light of Healing before they left.
If they didn’t resu the test soon, she would run out of ti... Qiao Sang glanced at her phone every so often.
About ten minutes later, a burly middle-aged man appeared at the edge of the field and spoke through a loudspeaker:
"We are changing locations! Everyone, please proceed to Examination Field B4 imdiately!"
Everyone swiftly got up and moved in an orderly fashion toward the right side.
Most of the Beastmasters taking the exam in the 19th District Beastmaster Center were locals, so they knew exactly where to go without needing directions.
Qiao Sang followed the crowd.
"Yap..."
Yabao carefully lowered his head, watching the tiny human figures moving below. He cautiously adjusted his steps, afraid of accidentally crushing soone underfoot.
"Xun xun..."
Little Treasure floated onto Yabao’s head, looking down at the humans as well.
From this height, the view was rather thrilling.
The more he looked, the more he wanted to get bigger...
The B4 examination field wasn’t far away, and within three minutes, everyone had relocated.
"From now on, I will be your examiner." Announced the burly middle-aged man who had spoken earlier.
Where did the previous examiner go? Qiao Sang suddenly thought of this question.
She recalled that Little Treasure had scanned the previous examiner’s three pet beasts. If he were still the one conducting the exam, she would have had a better grasp of what to expect...
"Candidate 25, enter the field and prepare." The announcent system broadcasted.
"Wait a mont!" Qiao Sang called out.
Almost everyone turned their attention to her.
"What is it?" The burly examiner asked.
"I'm Candidate 24. I've only completed one match, I still have two more to go." Qiao Sang explained.
The burly examiner gave her a strange look.
"You're Candidate 24?"
"Yes." Qiao Sang nodded.
"Go to the registration desk and sign your na." He instructed.
Qiao Sang blinked in confusion.
"Sign what?"
"You’ll understand once you get there." He replied before turning back to his loudspeaker.
"Candidate 25! Get up here!"
...They wouldn’t be asking her to pay for the battlefield repairs, would they? Qiao Sang sighed and turned to leave.
As she was about to exit the B4 field, a staff mber seated near the entrance caught her attention with a subtle glance.
It was the sa staff mber who had been at B7 field earlier.
Qiao Sang slowed her steps and glanced over.
The staff mber whispered, "He ans you’ve passed the exam. You just need to sign the confirmation."
Qiao Sang stopped, looking puzzled.
"But I still have two more rounds left..."
The staff mber chuckled after glancing at Yabao.
"With a pet beast capable of Lava Purgatory, you’ve already t the qualifications. In all my years of work, I’ve never seen a C-rank Beastmaster’s pet beast use an ultra-tier skill."
"My guess is they’re just trying to prevent you from casting Lava Purgatory again, otherwise, they'd have to change the battlefield after every round."
"Yap..."
Yabao gazed up at the sky at a 45-degree angle.
He understood now, he was simply too powerful.
"But..." Qiao Sang hesitated.
She had never heard of anyone passing a C-rank Beastmaster exam after just one match...
"Relax, just go sign the papers." The staff mber reassured her.
"The entire examination process is monitored, and an official certifier was present. Everything was done by the book. If they’re letting you pass, that ans they’ve officially recognized your C-rank qualifications."
"Understood. Thanks." Since everything was legitimate, Qiao Sang had no reason to refuse.
Even if the exam had continued, she was confident she could pass.
Who would've thought the professional Beastmaster exams on Chaosu Star would be this flexible...
With a wave of her hand, Qiao Sang recalled Yabao into her Beastmaster Codex and strode toward the Beastmaster Center’s lobby.
She completed the necessary paperwork and received her new Beastmaster badge.
Checking her phone, she saw that she had 29 minutes left until her scheduled eting with "SS-Rank Yin Dynasty Pearl."
She moved to an unmonitored area and put on the black coat and mask she had worn last ti at the underground trading market.
Both had been stored in Little Treasure's ring, making the change quick and convenient.
After finishing her disguise, she suddenly rembered sothing. With another wave of her hand, she stored Lubao into her Beastmaster Codex and placed her backpack into Little Treasure's ring.
She had carried this bag last ti at the volcano, she couldn’t risk blowing her cover because of it.
After making all necessary preparations, Qiao Sang pulled out her phone, opened her chat with "SS-Rank Yin Dynasty Pearl," and typed:
