Lubao searched outside for two minutes.
Soon enough, at the exact spot where it had just been summoned, she saw the figure she was looking for.
“Lu.”
Luobao stepped forward and called out.
“Spike…”
Squatting in the corner with its knees held tight, Spike Warrior looked up with a dazed expression, its eyes unfocused, as if its mind was wandering.
“Lu…”
Seeing this, Lubao didn’t waste any ti. She cleared her throat.
“Spike…”
Spike Warrior was still in a daze.
However, in the next second, Spike Warrior’s eyes suddenly focused. It covered its ears, a look of agony on its face.
What’s up with this guy?! Why suddenly attack it like this?!
“Lu~ Lulululu~ Lulu~ Lululu~ Lu~” Lubao sang seriously.
“Spike!”
Jianjian painfully covered its ears. It wanted to attack and stop this noise that was worse than any racket.
But recognizing that the creature before it was the one who had just healed it, Spike Warrior hesitated and chose not to strike.
After two minutes, once Lubao had finished singing the whole song, Jianjian leaned against the wall, looking utterly drained.

Eyes closed, lost in her own singing, Lubao opened her eyes and saw the battle-worn Spike Warrior standing before her.
Pausing for a mont, she stepped closer and asked if Jianjian felt any better.

Jianjian shrank back in horror. When it realized it was backed up against the wall with no way out, it clung tightly to the wall, nodding furiously.
As long as she didn’t sing! It felt perfectly fine!

Lubao glared at Spike Warrior, indignant.
Did it really think her singing was bad?

Seeing the look that promised more singing if it admitted otherwise, Spike Warrior decided to ignore its conscience.
Yet, clearly, lying wasn’t Spike Warrior’s strong suit.
Though it was saying nice words, Spike Warrior’s body was quite honestly shaking its head.
“Lu!”
Sensitive to others’ emotions, Lubao noticed Spike Warrior’s insincerity. With an angry flick of her tail, she turned to leave but stopped, seemingly rembering sothing. She turned back and called out.
“Lu lu.”
Your trainer isn’t a good person; you should leave him.
Usually calm, Spike Warrior’s expression changed instantly, it was furious, even though it didn’t have fur to bristle.
“Spike!”
Spike Warrior glared at Lubao, clearly forbidding it to badmouth its trainer.
Lubao, who wasn’t the type to ddle, looked at Spike Warrior’s reaction with a hint of disappointnt and didn’t say more. With a swish of her tail, she turned to leave once more.
This ti, she had no intention of looking back.
“Spike…”
Watching Lubao’s retreating figure, Spike Warrior was stunned for a mont, then ran after it, extolling the virtues of its trainer.
“Spike!”
“Spike!”
He chose out of a whole group of others!
His smile is wonderful! He always gives good food!
He takes out to play! He lifts high in his arms! He’s only busy right now! But he’s a very good trainer!
Although Lubao didn’t stop, she was listening the whole ti. Without reacting, she kept walking back toward the room she had just left.
“Spike…”
Spike Warrior stayed outside the door, looking lost and uncertain as if it had no idea where to go.

The mont Lubao entered the room, she saw Little Treasure eagerly pounce into their trainer’s arms.
Apparently, when Little Treasure perford a move earlier, Dad Liu imdiately agreed to fund the purchase of golden gloves.
“You’re back?” Qiao Sang held Little Treasure, smiling as she turned toward Lubao.
“Lu…”
Lubao’s expression showed surprise.
She hadn’t expected her trainer to know she had gone out.
Qiao Sang gave Lubao a warm smile and then turned to Dad Liu, saying, “Uncle, I’ll be heading off now.”
“Why are you leaving so soon?” Liu Dad asked warmly.
“There’s a great restaurant nearby. Let treat you to a al!”
“No, thanks." Qiao Sang declined.
“I still have howork to do.”
Dad Liu was montarily stunned before he rembered that Qiao Sang was the sa age as his son. He shot a look of disappointnt at Liu Qijia.
They were both fifteen! Look at Qiao Sang! Not only had a Treasure-Seeking Demon evolved, but it had even learned fighting moves! If Liu Qijia could read his father’s thoughts, he’d probably roll his eyes.
It’s not the sa. Qiao Sang already has three beasts.
After declining Dad Liu’s offer to be driven to the Libo training center, Qiao Sang stepped outside.
Liu Qijia, looking thrilled, followed closely behind. Anyone would think he’d been the one who got the golden gloves.
Just as he was about to reach the door, Dad Liu suddenly asked, “Qijia, how did you get here? Did you skip evening study?”
Liu Qijia’s face fell instantly. He frantically gestured to Qiao Sang for help.
Qiao Sang gave him a look of helpless sympathy, and left without a word.

“Were you just checking on Spike Warrior?” Qiao Sang asked with a smile, lifting Lubao.
“Lu?”
Lubao raised her head with a blank look.
How did her trainer know that?
“Because I’m smart.” Qiao Sang shalessly ruffled Lubao’s head.
Lubao stayed silent.
“Why don’t you go see it again?” Qiao Sang suggested.
“You seed distracted after you ca back; you must still be thinking about it.”
“Lu!”
Lubao tossed her head defiantly. She was not!
Seeing the humor in her behavior, Qiao Sang couldn’t help but smile. Ever since Lubao evolved, it had been a while since she’d seen so much expression on her face.
“I bet Spike Warrior isn’t feeling great right now. You could use Healing Soundwaves on it.” Qiao Sang suggested.
“Lu…”
ntioning it only made Lubao angrier.
That creature actually disliked her singing!
Qiao Sang thought for a mont. “I think you have talent in practicing Healing Soundwaves, at least it worked on just now.”
“Lu…”
Lubao stared blankly at Qiao Sang.
“Maybe Spike Warrior is feeling very sad right now, so it’s harder to heal. If you focus a bit more, it might actually work.” Qiao Sang continued.
Little Treasure: ???
Seriously?
Was his trainer for real?! No one with ears would believe that!
Lubao believed it.

Spike Warrior wasn’t hard to find; it was still squatting in the corner.

Jianjian sat with its knees hugged close, its gaze distant.
Its world felt cloaked in darkness.
Honestly, it was starting to doubt its own words.
They felt like mories from long, long ago.
Scenes of ti spent with its trainer flashed in its mind.
Slowly, the images blurred, then fractured.
Jianjian stayed curled up, motionless, with not a glimr in its eyes.
Just then, it heard a song drifting from a distance.
“Lu~ Lulululu~ Lulu~ Lululu~”
“Spike…”
With a puzzled expression, Jianjian raised its head.
The darkness around it shattered.
Moonlight poured in, and the wind stirred the nearby flowers and grass.
In that mont, it felt a long-lost peace.
