Qian Jiadong heard Sun Ming’s words and plopped down on the ground, the words "failure" echoing continuously in his mind.

Previously, he had sparred with the elders of his family. Failure was inevitable, but those Guardian Beasts’ realms were much higher than the Wind Demon Tiger, so he didn’t feel disappointed.

Now, after the battle with Chu Chen, he had been thoroughly crushed, and what made it even harder to accept was that Chu Chen’s Guardian Beast’s realm was a rank lower than the Wind Demon Tiger. Even more unacceptable was that the other party was a poor boy from an impoverished background, yet in the face of scarce cultivation resources, he had crushed him.

An overwhelming feeling of defeat surged from within him, transforming his domineering deanor into one of dejection. Even the light in his eyes dimd, leaving him looking soulless.

Obviously, his confidence had suffered an unprecedented blow, possibly leaving him unable to recover, casting a shadow over his future prospects.

Chu Chen’s actions were a classic case of "killing the chicken to scare the monkey." He preferred quiet cultivation and believed that after this battle, no one would trouble him again.

Sun Ming stared intently at Chu Chen, his eyes filled with shock. Though the students watching didn’t see anything special in that final move, he saw a lot.

First was Thunder Blade. Judging by its power, it had reached the Mastery Realm. This was an Elite Level Skill, which, if he hadn’t seen for himself, would have been hard to believe.

Second was the Thunder Ape’s Talent Frenzy. The aura during that ti had reached around Fourth Rank War General Level. Such a talent, with amplification effects, is at least D-level or above.

Finally, Chu Chen’s talent. Given the above circumstances, it was definitely not simple. Besides enhancing skill levels, it might also boost the Guardian Beast’s talent, making this little fellow quite terrifying.

Chu Chen dared to reveal all of Lei Yao’s abilities because of the confidentiality of talent. As long as you don’t actively disclose it, nobody knows what your talent truly is. Hence, many unreasonable things beco reasonable.

Chu Chen’s high-profile performance this ti had reasons. Qian Jiadong and Zhao Peng had always been eyeing him, whether there was influence from two families behind them was unknown.

To cultivate peacefully, he needed to find a backer, whether it was the school or a Daoist School. To earn their protection, he had to show considerable strength and potential.

Judging from the cultivation contract given by the Cyan Dragon Daoist School, his current display of strength and potential wasn’t enough to gain their attention, so he needed to train hard, allowing Lei Yao to advance quickly to the War General Level.

Chu Chen guessed that once Lei Yao reached the War General Level, he could use the Slaughter Atlas to bestow it with a second talent.

If his guess proved correct, Lei Yao’s strength would experience a qualitative leap.

Chu Chen walked slowly to Qian Jiadong, stretched out his hand, and smilingly said: "Hand over the wager."

Qian Jiadong ca to his senses upon hearing this. He quickly got up, took out a bank card from his pocket, and handed it over.

Seeing this, Chu Chen imdiately showed a look of joy and quickly reached out to take it.

Chu Chen intended to say a few more provocative words, but in the end, he refrained, as the boy had already been through enough today.

"Chu Chen, let’s wait and see." After saying that, he turned and left.

He paid no mind to Qian Jiadong’s words. Losing such a sum and not being allowed a few harsh words seed unfair.

After school that evening, Chu Chen invited everyone to a grand dinner.

Unexpectedly, Zhang Yuyan also accepted the invitation, which surprised his family. anwhile, Chu Chen and his group were also placed on the Zhang Family’s investigation list.

At night, in the study of the Qian Family.

An elder sat on the sofa, holding a smokepipe in his left hand and a walnut in his right.

He took a puff of smoke and said in a deep voice, "Jiadong, how do you plan to resolve this matter?"

Upon hearing this, Qian Jiadong lowered his head and did not answer.

Seeing his grandson’s dispirited state, the elder frowned.

"Didn’t you hear ?" he asked coldly.

"Grandfather, you don’t need to worry about this. I can handle it myself," Qian Jiadong replied solemnly.

"Handle it yourself? How, by finding soone to beat him up or even kill him?"

Qian Jiadong fell silent upon hearing this; his mind was in disarray, struggling with how to deal with Chu Chen, reluctant even to attend school, unsure of how to face his classmates.

The elder sighed, "That student is called Chu Chen, right? I’ve read his file. His ability has already drawn so attention. If you want to act against him, you must do so discreetly. Here are two options for you."

Upon hearing this, Qian Jiadong slowly raised his head, a hint of color returning to his eyes.

The elder continued, "First, don’t provoke him anymore, or try to beco friends with him. Second, find an opportunity to eliminate him, or else he might beco an enemy of the Qian Family."

Qian Jiadong scoffed, "An enemy? Is he even worthy of being our enemy?"

"Rubbish. When will you mature a bit? Do you know why our Qian Family is one of the three great families of Celestial Star City?"

"Of course, because we are strong," replied Qian Jiadong seriously.

The elder shook his head, "Celestial Star City never lacks powerful individuals, but they all end up dead because they were incautious. You must rember never to underestimate your enemies."

Nodding thoughtfully, Qian Jiadong seed to absorb the lesson.

"Alright, make your choice," the elder urged.

Qian Jiadong paused briefly in silence before responding, "I choose the third option."

Surprisingly, the elder wasn’t angry. Instead, he looked at his grandson with interest.

"Oh? Tell your thoughts."

"I want to defeat him with my own strength. It’s just a classmate’s sparring; that shouldn’t count as enmity, right?"

"Haha, very well. It seems this setback has helped you grow a lot. Fine, do as you wish, but if you want to defeat your opponent, you need to put in more effort than them. Can you do that?" the elder asked with a smile.

Qian Jiadong nodded vigorously, his eyes filled with a fighting spirit, and his previous dispiritedness had completely vanished.

"Grandfather, if there’s nothing else, I’ll go cultivate now."

The elder smiled and said, "Go ahead."

Not long after Qian Jiadong left, a stout man appeared beside the elder.

"Patriarch, do you want to..." He made a throat-slitting gesture.

The elder waved his hand, "No need. It’s rare to find such a good sharpening stone. Let him play his role."

In Celestial Star City, in a dimly lit room.

"Sir, I have obtained the slot for the secret realm," a pale-faced young man said softly.

"Hmm, when the secret realm opens, I will temporarily seal your realm. Rember, you must obtain the Key. If you fail, you know the consequences."

Upon hearing this, the young man shivered, quickly responding, "I won’t disappoint you, sir."

"Alright, leave now."

After leaving the room, the young man’s expression turned grim.

The cost of sealing one’s realm is imnse; not only would years of life be consud, but cultivation talent would also degrade.

The young man clenched his fist tightly, red veins filling his eyes, showing a look full of madness.

Just then, a person in a black robe approached, handing a cloth bag to the young man and said deeply, "Here is the agreed compensation. Rember, you must kill that Chu Chen."

Seizing the bag with a cold smile, the youth said, "Don’t worry, I also loathe those lofty geniuses."
