Chapter 417: Chapter 154: Cooperation Oath! (Seeking Monthly Votes)_2
“As long as you rember, then please have teams number 1 and 2 follow my colleague here to the oath area,” the man pointed to an employee next to him raising his hand and then continued, “Please have teams number 3 and 4 get ready.”
A combat team consists of one hundred people, which is just right for undertaking the oath in pairs.
Under the man’s orderly command, the first batch of new students began to enter the Beast Taming Association through a specially opened side door.
It would still be so ti before the 19th combat team that Lin Su and the others were part of was their turn, so everyone exchanged glances and quickly focused their attention on the side door through which the first batch of new students was entering.
However, to their disappointnt, not a single student was seen coming out, even after the second batch had entered.
“It seems the entrance and exit are separated,” Zhao Tianchen said with a helpless shake of his head, “probably to prevent us from learning anything from those who took the oath before us.”
“They’re really strict,” another team mber could not help muttering, glancing at the communicator in his hand, “One of my roommates is in the first combat team, and I was planning to ask him. But their communicator has already gone offline.”
“Forget it, we should find out soon enough when we go in,” Lin Su sighed softly, his heart inevitably hanging in suspense.
Seeing that side door devouring new Beast Tars like an enormous gaping mouth, admitting entry but not exit, anyone would feel a tightening of nerves.
To make matters worse, their team was near the end of the queue, making the wait all the more agonizing.
After a long three hours, teams 19 and 20, finally, under the guidance of the staff of the Beast Taming Association, entered through the side door into the interior of the Association.
They hadn’t walked far when the staff led them into a sealed corridor with small storage lockers on either side.
“Please place all technological devices on your person into the storage lockers, and make sure to switch off your communicators before placing them inside,” the employee began to instruct, “Everyone gets a locker; rember your number because you will only be able to retrieve your belongings once everyone has completed the Cooperation Oath.”
“Shortly, you’ll pass through an electromagnetic security system. If you’re found carrying a technological device, you will imdiately lose your qualification to take the Cooperation Oath, so please do not take any chances and thoroughly check for any oversights.”
Hearing this, everyone’s expression quickly turned serious.
Disqualification for carrying a technological device?
The strictness of the rules made them all sit up and take notice.
Many among them had tried calling their fellow students who had already taken the Cooperation Oath to ask about what was happening.
Without a doubt, all had failed.
It was only now that they understood the reason.
The technological devices that everyone carried had already been taken away before they took the Cooperation Oath.
Lin Su placed his communicator in a small locker, morized the number after setting up his fingerprint identification, and calmly returned to his original position.
The others did the sa, and soon, the two hundred people in the passageway had each secured their belongings.
“Everyone sure there has been no oversight?” the staff mber called out loudly. Once it was confird that all technological devices had been left there, the staff mber used an access card and iris recognition to open the alloy doors sealing the passageway.
As the alloy doors retracted irregularly towards the sides, the staff mber gestured forward, “Next, follow .”
The group followed his lead, advancing further along the corridor that stretched ahead.
After covering a distance of roughly a kiloter, the staff mber spoke again, “Alright, now please summon your beasts.”
“We are about to enter the site for the Cooperation Oath. Before this, I must remind you all very seriously to keep your beasts outside of the Beast Taming Space during the oath period. Failure to comply with instructions will result in you bearing all consequences,” the staff mber’s voice turned noticeably more stern.
The beasts were not to be stored into the Beast Taming Space during the Cooperation Oath?
Lin Su blinked, sensing sothing odd.
Strictly speaking, those two things didn’t seem to be related at all.
But to him, this requirent wasn’t too much of a problem.
Qiuqiu and Ghost Ghost were long accustod to moving around outside the Beast Taming Space.
Geese-yellow light patterns quickly wove together beneath his feet, and the two beasts he had retracted into the Beast Taming Space upon entering the Association were summoned again.
After briefly explaining the situation, the two beasts understood and obediently took their place beside Lin Su.
The other Beast Tars’ creatures were likewise summoned following the staff’s announcent.
For a mont, the entire corridor beca crowded.
After all, not everyone’s beast was as small as Qiuqiu and Ghost Ghost.
Fortunately, the corridor could accommodate a large number, and the crowd quickly dispersed as people spread out.
Seeing that everyone had summoned their beasts as instructed, the staff mber nodded slightly, then used his access card and iris recognition once more to open another door.
The view ahead was no longer just a passageway but an incredibly spacious underground plaza.
The do, a hundred ters high, was adorned with countless nebulae, a dazzling sight reminiscent of a star-filled sky. Complicated patterns branded into the ground of the vast empty square carried a faint surge of energy waves. Hundreds of tal pillars, each one ter high, stood aligned but staggered, with palm-sized crystals emitting radiant light at the tip of each one.
