After collecting the corpse of the Two-headed Fire Scorpion, Li Cunxu circled around the pyramid, searching for an entrance.
Unable to find an entrance, Li Cunxu sensed sothing unusual above him and looked up.
A young girl fell from the top of the pyramid.
She tumbled down, rolling faster and faster until she plunged headfirst into the desert, her head buried in sand, feet sticking out.
Li Cunxu was montarily stunned. What’s happening? How did a girl fall from the pyramid?
The little white spider said, "I sense a strong aura of destiny on her."
Curiosity piqued, Li Cunxu floated over and used his spiritual power to pull the girl out.
The girl was dressed in a sowhat primitive yellow-brown linen robe, her appearance rather ordinary.
Suddenly, the Peach Blossom Curse spirit, which had been dormant in the cursed heavenly heart for a long ti, throbbed violently.
Li Cunxu imdiately realized that this girl was not simple; anyone who could stir the Peach Blossom Curse spirit was surely extraordinary.
Looking at the girl again, despite rolling down from such a high pyramid, she didn’t even have a scratch, only appeared a bit dusty.
Observing the girl’s ordinary face and slightly yellowed, rough skin, Li Cunxu beca suspicious.

The water orbs scrubbed vigorously and painfully, and soon, the girl’s face turned extraordinarily red.
"Stop rubbing, stop rubbing, it hurts."
Seeing that pleading was futile, the girl added, "You can’t scrub it off that way, you need the herbal dicine in my backpack."
The linen backpack that had fallen with the girl, was suspended next to Li Cunxu under his spiritual power control.
Li Cunxu didn’t imdiately return the backpack to the girl; what if there was life-saving jade or such threatening items inside, and she attacked Li Cunxu with it?
Rather than disappointnt, there was anticipation deep in the girl’s eyes when the backpack wasn’t returned.
Li Cunxu used his spiritual power to open the backpack, and inside was a palm-sized Violent Jumping Wolf Spider. If soone unsuspecting reached in, and the spider made a sudden move, even a Golden Beastmaster would have to be carried away on the spot.
"Which is the herbal dicine?"
The girl said, "It’s hard for you to find, let do it!"
Li Cunxu remained unmoved, continuing to ask, "Which is the herbal dicine?"
Reluctantly, the girl said, "It’s the one with yellow flowers."
Li Cunxu asked, "Is it this one?"
The girl said, "Can you spin it around? It’s hard to see upside down."
Li Cunxu positioned the girl exactly as she had been buried in the sand.
After adjusting her position, the girl reached out and demanded, "That’s it, give it to !"
Li Cunxu said, "Drowsy Grass, are you sure this can erase the disguise on your face? Or are you trying to use it to knock into a pig-like sleep, or maybe you want to crush it and blow it in my face."
Drowsy Grass can put even a golden-level elephant into an unshakeable slumber.
The girl scratched her head, smiling sheepishly, "I got it wrong, got it wrong, sorry, sorry."
Li Cunxu stared at the girl without a word, making her feel thoroughly uneasy inside.
"There won’t be a next ti."
"Yes, yes, there won’t be a next ti for sure."
The girl nodded repeatedly, "I rembered wrong, the herbal dicine to cleanse the disguise is a small red flower."
Crushing the red flower into pieces, the girl said, "Could I have a bit of water?"
A water orb floated to the girl, and she mixed the sap of the red flower with the water orb and wiped it on her face.
After wiping, the girl revealed her true appearance.
It was a face of stunning beauty.
Her features were delicate, like a masterpiece finely sculpted by the divine, and paired with her plain linen robe, she resembled a fairy descended to the mortal world.
Seeing Li Cunxu staring at her in a trance, the girl felt extrely nervous inside, to the point where her fingertips dug into her skin.

Li Cunxu’s trance wasn’t due to being captivated by the girl’s beauty; during the strategy to defeat the final BOSS, the Master of Endless Ti had summoned countless srizing empresses. Having seen so many beauties, while beauty affected him sowhat, it didn’t impact him much.
Li Cunxu was distracted because the girl’s face seed familiar, as if he had seen it sowhere before.
He pondered for a long ti but couldn’t recall.
Li Cunxu asked, "What’s your na?"
The girl replied, "My na is Jiang Lingyun."
Jiang Lingyun? No recollection at all.
Li Cunxu asked, "How did you fall from the pyramid?"
"Pyramid? What’s a pyramid?"
Li Cunxu pointed to the pyramid beside them.
"So that’s the pyramid the elder ntioned!" Jiang Lingyun curiously examined the pyramid.
Li Cunxu coughed lightly.
Jiang Lingyun snapped back to reality and promptly explained, "I was chased by a large cat with sharp double fangs. While being chased, I saw a cave and dived into it. Sohow, I ended up tumbling down from above."
Li Cunxu said, "You’ve accidentally entered a space portal."
"Ah!"
Jiang Lingyun recalled the stories told by the village elders.
"Does that an I’ve mistakenly entered another world?"
"Yes."
"Can I return then?"
"I don’t know. You might want to check the top of the pyramid to see if there’s a way back through a space portal."
Li Cunxu let Jiang Lingyun fly to the top of the pyramid to try, but she couldn’t find anything.
"It seems like you encountered a one-way space portal or perhaps a temporary space tunnel."
"What is a one-way space portal and a temporary space tunnel?"
"A one-way space portal can only be entered, not exited. A temporary space tunnel has a ti limit, and once that ti is up, the tunnel disappears."
Jiang Lingyun slumped and muttered, "Does that an I’ll never go back?"
Li Cunxu asked, "Is there anything you miss about that world?"
Jiang Lingyun thought for a mont and realized there wasn’t much.
When she was thirteen, her mother was suddenly taken away by a mirror, seemingly forcibly taken by soone from outside the Thousand-Layered Small World, leaving her alone in the village. Without her mother, people in the village weren’t kind to her.
There’s nothing truly worth missing in that world.
Li Cunxu asked, "Since there’s nothing, why not stick with for now?"
Jiang Lingyun looked sharply at Li Cunxu, her eyes filled not with gratitude but with caution.
