Why fight over the battlefield?
With Xiaoruan’s strength, it can instantly kill this Iron Spike Elephant.
Why bother going through the trouble of fighting over the battlefield? Li Cunxu didn’t know why either. Having experienced countless pet battles in his past life, he felt it was puzzling that Li Pingxue was fixated on setting up the battlefield from the get-go.
Li Cunxu snapped his fingers.
Before Li Cunxu could say, "Xiaoruan, handle it."
Li Pingxue quickly said, "Iron Spike Elephant, burrow underground."
The Iron Spike Elephant took a few big steps, and the solid ground seed to turn into water as it stepped into it, disappearing as if sinking into the riverbed.
Li Pingxue quickly ordered, "Iron Thorn Forest."
Iron thorns sprouted from the ground and grew wildly.
In just four seconds, the thick iron thorns grew four ters tall.
As Li Cunxu watched the opponent, his view was obscured by the dense Iron Thorn Forest, Li Pingxue quickly crouched down and shouted.
"Thorn Explosion."
The entire Iron Thorn Forest exploded.
Iron spikes flew everywhere, hitting the entire arena. Fortunately, the audience seats were shielded with protective barriers. Otherwise, so of the viewers sitting lower might have been turned into porcupines.
Li Cunxu was a bit perplexed.
This maneuver—truth be told, Li Cunxu couldn’t quite understand it.
The Iron Thorn Forest, its explosion, and the sharp iron spikes flying wildly seed impressive, but in reality, it caused minimal damage, barely even piercing through the water shield.
The Iron Spike Elephant once again used the Land of Golden Sharpness, and this ti it smoothly covered Xiaoruan’s Land of Myriad Phenona.
At this mont, Li Cunxu understood.
The Iron Spike Elephant detonated the Iron Thorn Forest to create a diversion, secretly mixing the iron rods into the ground with the exploding iron thorns.
The iron rods, once inserted into the ground, disrupt or suppress any non-tal field skills.
However, Li Cunxu still didn’t get sothing.
What good was it to reclaim the ground? Xiaoruan’s Land of Myriad Phenona would cover it again soon.
Li Pingxue loudly ordered, "Now, Iron Spike Elephant, ignite!"
The Iron Spike Elephant charged out from the ground with Iron Bump Collision, heading for Xiaoruan, and just as it was about to collide with Xiaoruan, it activated the self-destruct skill, Steel Explosion.
A trendous roar erupted.
Before Li Cunxu’s mind could register, his instincts took over, and he rapidly activated eighteen layers of water shield.
The explosion was too close, and the fragnts from the steel explosion pierced through fifteen layers of the water shield, and even the last layer rippled from the impact.
The self-destruction ca too suddenly, catching Li Cunxu off guard, almost causing him to lose this match by surprise.
However, losing didn’t matter. The purpose of the exchange match was mainly for inter-school communication among students. The rules were quite relaxed; even if one lost three tis, they could still revive through a resurrection match.
Still, Li Cunxu was too surprised.
Typically, one would only self-destruct when on the brink of defeat.
Who would self-destruct right from the start?
And the Iron Spike Elephant was still in perfect condition.
After the explosion, as the smoke cleared, Xiaoruan was nowhere to be seen.
A few seconds later, a hole appeared on the ground, and Xiaoruan jumped out from it.
When the Iron Spike Elephant used the Steel Explosion, Xiaoruan activated multiple defenses but chose not to endure it like the Blood Lotus Carp. Instead, it opted to avoid the blast, quickly digging down, thus evading all damage from the explosion’s epicenter.
The Iron Spike Elephant was imdiately carried away by the rescue team. The self-destruct skill caused severe damage to itself, and even with the Deathless White Light protecting its life, it would need a considerable recovery period, at least fifteen days for the fastest recovery.
Round six.
As soon as the referee announced the start,
Li Pingxue couldn’t wait to summon her last elephant.
The Five-Colored Elephant.
The Five-Colored Elephant resembled a multi-hued ceramic, adorned with five radiant colors on its body: red, yellow, blue, green, and pink.
The Five-Colored Elephant is a pet beast even rarer than dragon pets.
This is because the Five-Colored Elephant can evolve into a Five-Colored Five-Blessings Elephant, a mythical beast that brings good fortune.
Who wouldn’t want a share of good luck?
You never know when a stroke of luck might kick in and save your life.
As a result, mythical beasts have beco coveted objects.
Even if not bonded, keeping one at ho is advantageous.
Mythical beasts don’t need to be bonded to bring good fortune; even unbonded, they bring luck when kept at ho.
"Five-Colored Elephant, Five Spirits Forbidden Land."
The Five Spirits Forbidden Land, an Overlord skill, a field skill, can ban all spiritual energies of pet beasts on the field, rendering them unable to release any skills.
Its effect is equivalent to forbidden magic.
However, its application conditions are extrely stringent.
Before deploying the Five Spirits Forbidden Land, the field must be set up with five elental properties, and these elental properties cannot be replaced by any non-elental fields. Otherwise, the Five Spirits Forbidden Land cannot be laid.
Li Cunxu realized why the Iron Spike Elephant went to such lengths to dismantle the Land of Myriad Phenona and reclaim the Land of Golden Sharpness; it was all to use this skill.
Seeing the Five Spirits Forbidden Land set up, Li Pingxue was confident of her victory, saying, "Once the Five Spirits Forbidden Land is activated, spiritual energies cannot be used. Physical prowess reigns supre. The physique of my Five-Colored Elephant is undoubtedly the strongest, while your Xiaoruan, despite its terrifying spiritual energy, lacks the robust physique to stand against my Five-Colored Elephant. With your strongest pet gone, defeat is inevitable."
"I’ve actually watched your survival video on the island. I’m aware of your strength, how powerful your Sli is. I pretended not to know before, just to lull you into a false sense of security. I didn’t expect you to be so easily deceived."
"Next ti, be careful not to trust a pretty face."
Li Cunxu chuckled, "The outco is not yet decided; celebrating early in the match isn’t a good habit."
"Xiaoruan, go beat it up."
Xiaoruan dashed toward the Five-Colored Elephant with incredible speed, moving so fast that it left afterimages.
The Five-Colored Elephant rushed forward too, but Xiaoruan grabbed its priceless multicolored ivory and, with a powerful toss, knocked the Five-Colored Elephant onto its side.
Li Pingxue was stunned; what was going on?
Has the world beco so magical? Can a Sli, relying on sheer strength, flip over a Five-Colored Elephant?
She rubbed her eyes. It was true; the Five-Colored Elephant was still lying there.
The Five-Colored Elephant tried to stand up, but Xiaoruan, with its ping-pong ball-like small fists, punched its large head a few tis, making it dizzy and sleepy.
Though physique had always been Xiaoruan’s weakness, it didn’t an the Five-Colored Elephant’s physique was stronger than Xiaoruan’s.
Every month, Xiaoruan received a physique tax from all its Sli subjects. Although Slis’ weak physiques ant they couldn’t contribute much, the accumulation over ti allowed Xiaoruan’s physique to reach Gold Level Three.
The Five-Colored Elephant, at Silver Level Nine in realm and Gold Level One in physique, was bound to be overwheld by Xiaoruan.
The Five-Colored Elephant struggled, its four elephant legs kicking forcefully, swinging its large trunk toward Xiaoruan.
Xiaoruan grabbed the Five-Colored Elephant’s colorful trunk, tying it into a bow, and as the trunk distracted it, the elephant knelt on its forelimbs, pushing up with its hind limbs to stand.
Just as it managed to stand, with its forelimbs still bent and unsteadied, Xiaoruan launched a powerful leap, knocking the Five-Colored Elephant to the ground.
The Great Demon King Xiaoruan charged forward, delivering several punches to the joints of its legs, preventing the Five-Colored Elephant from standing up.
