Chapter 63: The Invitation from the Student Union

Translator: 549690339

Watching Alice Cain shower Vincent Wolf with lavish praises, going as far as to claim that he was unparalleled in heaven and earth, Vincent couldn’t help feeling sowhat overwheld.

He returned to class, dealt with the excited chatter from his classmates, and then began to prepare for the day’s lessons.

“Did you hear? Apparently, our class is going to have a new student joining us these next few days.”

“Of course I know, and she’s a cute girl too!” “I hope she’s not like Sebastian Wood.”

“She probably isn’t.”

“I also heard that this girl is very arrogant and wants to compete for the position of Student Council President right away.”

“Wow, what’s with the attitude? So domineering!”

“Apparently she’s from a prestigious family, but I’m not exactly sure of the details. ”

“What does soone from a high-class family want to do here? Experience the life of a commoner?”

“Who knows? Maybe that’s exactly why she’s here.”

Listening to the discussions around him, Vincent was indifferent. After all, he had always been on the margins of his class, so whether a new student joins was of no concern to him.

This morning’s classes were Potion Class and Actual Combat Classes.

The Potion Class focused on the types, functions, precautions, suitable usage situations, and how to reduce potion resistance of first-level potions.

This Actual Combat Class was held indoors, focusing on the theoretical knowledge from the textbook, without any field training.

In fact, there weren’t many actual field combat lessons for high school students, since they were just starting their internships and have no pressing need for real-world combat experience.

Upon entering university and choosing a combat major, they’d have more real combat lessons.

This was the case for every major. They learned a wide-ranging skillset in high school, and when they went on to college, they’d choose the Beast Master type they were most suited for or were interested in.

Of course, this was provided their grades t the necessary standards.

And so, Vincent endured a morning of classes, finally reaching lunchti.

Having just finished lunch, Vincent heard an announcent over the PA system.

“Vincent from Senior Year Class 1, please co to the Student Union Office.” The announcent was repeated a few tis.

Vincent felt puzzled; as far as he could rember, he had no connection with the Student Union.

So why were they looking for him? Could it be related to the reporter and their insistence on interviewing him?

Taking all this into consideration, Vincent headed towards the Student Union Office’s location in his mory.

His fa had already reached its peak at school, known to not only the new students but also the teachers.

It was precisely because of Vincent’s reputation that nobody dared to strike up a conversation with him, fearing being humiliated by his poisonous tongue in public.

Moreover…

Suddenly, a Vincent Fan Club had erged within the school, propagating ssages like not disturbing their idol and advocating civilized support.

Many people criticized this, questioning why such a thing still existed in modern tis.

But Vincent didn’t know about all that. He only knew that he felt more relaxed than ever in school, his spirits lifted, even finding his lunch to be delicious. He arrived at the Student Union Office and knocked on the door.

A voice from inside responded, “Please co in.”

Vincent opened the door.

Before him was a delicate-looking girl with fair, smooth skin. Her hair, as black as ink, cascaded down to her waist, and she exuded a gentle elegance with each movent. Her figure was full and curvaceous, akin to a ripe peach, revealing a subtle seductiveness.

“May I ask who you are?” Vincent closed the door behind him and looked around the Student Union Office, but there was nobody else present.

“Hello, I’m the Student Union President, and my na is Yu Ran.” Yu Ran’s soft voice carried an indescribable pleasantness.

“Hello, what does the Student Union want with ?” Vincent smiled upon seeing a rare case in this world where a female was neither aggressive nor pretty, but his question remained unanswered.

“Here, please take a look.” As she said so, Yu Ran handed him a piece of paper from the table.

Taking a look, Vincent saw it was a Student Union Application Form.

“I’ve been keeping an eye on you, and I think you’re very outstanding. I hope you can join the Student Union and contribute to the school’s glory and students’ academic life.” Yu Ran’s eyes slightly narrowed as she spoke with a smile.

“Join the Student Union?” Vincent looked at the application form in his hand, clearly disinterested.

What’s so good about the Student Union? Wasn’t being a mber of the honorable ‘Go Ho Club’ much better?

Vincent’s spirits dampened as he recalled the miserable days of joining the Student Union in college during his past life.

Back then, he had hoped to establish so relationships with girls in the Student Union, but in the end…

Sigh, all he had were tears to show for it.

“Sorry, President Yu Ran, but I’m really not up to the task. You should find soone more suitable.” Vincent placed the application form back into her hand and turned to leave.

“Hey, don’t leave!”

Yu Ran hurriedly grabbed Vincent’s sleeve and began listing the benefits of joining the Student Union.

“Joining the Student Union will help you cultivate your morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics, and labor. It will also help strengthen your personal qualities, beco even more outstanding, and build relationships with your peers and teachers. On top of that, you’ll gain early experience in society…”

Yu Ran gushed about the advantages, but to Vincent, her words seed awfully familiar, almost like he had heard them before.

Vincent thought for a mont and suddenly rembered.

Weren’t these the sa lines that damned Student Union President from his previous life had used to recruit people?!

And they didn’t even bother altering the script!

“I just rembered that I haven’t fed my pet beast at ho. I need to go and feed it, so I’ll be leaving now.” Vincent pried Yu Ran’s hand off his sleeve.

“Don’t go! Please reconsider!”

“I said that I won’t join! Stop grabbing , or else I’ll call the police and report you for sexual harassnt!”

“Wait!” Yu Ran hastily interjected, “If you join the Student Union, I’ll give you half of the Student Union Fee! You’ll be Vice President, with the privileges of the Student Union President!”

“Where’s the pen, President Yu? Is this where I write my na? Can I not write that I want the Student Union Fee as my reason for joining?” Vincent asked seriously as he filled out the form.

Gazing at Vincent’s drastic change in attitude, Yu Ran just stood dumbstruck by his side, passively handing him a pen when he asked.

“Finally, it’s done. Please take a look, President Yu.” Vincent grabbed her hand, spread it out, and placed the application form onto it.

“Oh, rember my bank account number. Make sure to deposit the money on ti every month and don’t let have to remind you!” Vincent stated sternly.

“Oh, okay.” Yu Ran’s mind was still racing.

“By the way, it’s not really important, but I still want to ask: why did you want to join the Student Union so badly?” Vincent casually asked. “Of course, it’s because you’re good-looking.” Yu Ran instinctively replied.

“So that’s why. It does make sense..”
