Unlike the Initial City in the Penglai Secret Realm, the Thunder Cliff Secret Realm has only been developed for three years. The outpost currently consists of only these three tall buildings in front of us.
The exterior of these three buildings is entirely glass curtain walls, with the Hongng Group logo and large lettering printed high up. The top floors have a lightning conversion device akin to a lightning rod.
This is a product of the Hongng Company’s research departnt, capable of capturing and storing nearby lightning within an electric-type crystal core. The electricity supply for these three buildings cos entirely from this lightning conversion device.
"Senior Ting ng said you’ll be filling Wei Hai’s position and joining our Special Service Team 2, right?"
Yun Shu asked as he led Chen Mo into the central building.
Here at the Hongng Group’s Thunder Cliff Branch, the combat departnt is called the Special Service Departnt, short for the Special Operations Division. Currently, the Special Service Departnt has a total of six teams, each with five mbers, and the team leaders are all high-level Spirit Masters.
"Yes."
Chen Mo nodded as he took the elevator to the 9th floor.
"Chirp!"
Seeing the last displayed number on the elevator, Xiao Jiu expressed that they seed to have an uncanny fate with the number 9.
"The entire 9th floor of Building 2 is our Razer Team’s territory."
Yun Shu spoke.
Basically, every team in the Special Service Departnt has a whole floor as their base.
After stepping out of the elevator and through the door, it was a place similar to a party hub, with a projection, billiard table, ga machines, large sofas...
Likely aware that Chen Mo was coming today, the remaining four mbers of Action Group 2 were all waiting there.
"The newbie is so young."
A young man wearing a baseball cap spoke from the sofa. He looked about 30 years old, with a fierce scar running across half of his face, giving him a sowhat intimidating appearance.
Upon seeing Chen Mo, the scar-faced young man looked a bit disappointed, but quickly hid it, putting on a smile, and walked over to shake Chen Mo’s hand, introducing himself:
"Cao Pengyu, my main spiritual beast is the Vajra Stone Ape, Extraordinary 7th Rank, I’m the tank of the team."
Chen Mo noticed the fleeting disappointnt in the young man’s eyes but didn’t say anything. After all, who wouldn’t prefer a powerhouse in the team who could lead to victory, rather than soone who seed like a wet-behind-the-ears high school student?
However, ti will prove everything.
"The greasy middle-aged guy on the sofa is our captain, Liu Guo’an, and the zombie girl next to him is his daughter, An’an."
Yun Shu introduced.
Chen Mo looked over and was montarily stunned.
The man on the sofa had scruffy, greasy long hair almost covering the upper half of his face, with stubble, giving off a very unkempt vibe.
Hearing Yun Shu’s introduction, the man smiled wryly and said:
"Maybe a bit greasy, but absolutely not disgusting."
The zombie girl next to the man was impeccably dressed, with black long hair, deep purple skin, hands held flat, and a yellow talisman paper stuck to her forehead, quietly watching TV.
Seeing Chen Mo, she turned around all awkwardly and gave a stiff wave.
She didn’t look intimidating at all, but rather inexplicably cute.
Chen Mo’s mind conjured up so basic information about this spiritual beast—

As Chen Mo knew, every small zombie was human in its previous life.
It’s uncertain whether "daughter" is a term of endearnt for his spiritual beast, or if the Thunderbolt Purple Zombie’s body is indeed his daughter.
"Captain Liu’s daughter unfortunately passed away. Unable to accept it, he went to Zombie Road to seek a master to refine his daughter into a small zombie."
Seeing Chen Mo’s confusion, Yun Shu explained.
Chen Mo nodded, feeling a bit sentintal, but didn’t say much.
Although his daughter’s shell was re-alivened with a spirit after becoming a small zombie, it ultimately wasn’t her original soul.
"Welco to join our Thunder Team. I’m Liu Guo’an, you can call Captain Liu or Old Liu, whatever you prefer. Want to have a drink?"
Liu Guo’an said again, smiling as he waved the glass in his hand at Chen Mo.
He appeared approachable, giving off a very amiable vibe.
"Thank you, Captain Liu, but I don’t handle alcohol well."
Chen Mo declined gently.
He’s the type to get drunk with just a glass.
"Qing Shiwen, spiritual beast is Little Green Luo, Transcendent 3-tier, she’s the team’s healer. Just like you didn’t finish high school before joining Hongng Company, she’s been with our team for over a year."
Finally, Yun Shu introduced the twin-tailed girl who was gaming all the while.
"Hello, hello! Hey! What are you doing! Don’t take the lane alone while playing support!"
Qing Shiwen turned to greet Chen Mo, then returned to her ga in less than a second, a real internet-fanatic teenage girl.
"I’m Yun Shu, as you may already know. My main spiritual beast is the awakening electric Light Frost Snake Little White, Extraordinary 7th Rank, primarily serving as the mage in the team. We previously had another teammate whose spiritual beast acted as an assassin, but they passed away due to an accident."
Yun Shu sighed.
An action group generally consists of five Spirit Masters. Each person’s spiritual beast fulfills the roles of healer, assassin, tank, mage, and warrior respectively. Of course, high-level Spirit Masters often possess more than one spiritual beast, and so formidable Spirit Masters can even be equivalent to an entire team themselves.
"Chen Mo, spiritual beast is Blazing Fla Fox, Transcendent 1-stage. Its abilities are fairly broad, capable of handling multiple positions. I can fill in wherever needed."
Chen Mo introduced himself.
Hearing this, the disappointnt in Scar Face Cao Pengyu’s eyes grew stronger.
Versatility often ans diocrity, being a jack of all trades implies no outstanding abilities in any area, and can that small body of Blazing Fla Fox really serve as a tank?
Previously, when the captain said that the newcor was assigned by higher-ups from headquarters, he had a bad feeling.
And it turned out, damn, it really is a favor.
"I’ll handle your team joining formalities, then team tasks can be directly synchronized to your Spirit Master Bracelet."
Liu Guo’an didn’t seem bothered, smiling as he spoke to Chen Mo.
The team joining procedures could be completed on the phone. A few minutes later, Chen Mo saw his personal information at Hongng Company had changed, with his position becoming a mber of Special Service Team 2, and his employee level listed as F1.
"We have to transport a batch of goods to Golden City tomorrow, you can co along!"
Liu Guo’an continued.
"Alright, Captain Liu."
Chen Mo nodded.
He didn’t expect to go on a mission the day after joining the company, feeling a tinge of anticipation and nervousness inside.
"By the way, do you know how to handle a gun? If not, Yun Shu can teach you."
"A little."
Chen Mo thought of the [Sharpshooter] entry he had recently acquired.
Fortunately, he didn’t dismantle the [Sharpshooter] entry back then, now it’s finally ti to showcase his skills!
