The fiends weren’t the only danger of the Sli Nest.

A Pyro Sli bounced into view. It was similar to a green sli in shape and size, only its colour was different. Its body glowed like a torch.

Without warning, it hurled a fireball straight at Ray.

"What a warm welco," Ray thought sarcastically as he opened his mouth and spat out a level 1 fireball of his own.

The two flas collided midair, cancelling each other out.

The Pyro Sli seed to realize he wasn’t an easy prey. It went all out. Several fireballs shot towards Ray with intense speed, leaving behind a fiery trail, as the Pyro Sli’s magical power dropped to zero.

Ray unleashed an equal number of Azure Wind Blades.

The fireballs were sliced through, exploding far away from him, unable to do him any real harm. Right after, the Pyro Sli faced the sa fate.

♦️ Congratulations, Host. You have slain the minion of the tal King Sli that was dispatched to ask for help from the lords of the neighbouring territory, affecting foiling its plan to make a counterattack against the fiends that have co to kill it. For assisting in the murder of a future calamity, you’ve gained 100000 EXP. You have gained 50 EXP for killing a Peak Iron Rank Demonic Monster.

Ray fell into thoughts as he walked forward to collect the core of his kill.

"There’s really a King Type Sli in the Sli Nest."

"The Fiends wants to kill it. Wouldn’t it be better to ta it? Taming it would give one an army of demonic monsters."

"What exactly are they planning?"

Ray couldn’t see through their sche. It was too complex. He didn’t believe that they ca all the way here just to kill it for its demonic core. However, since their goal involved killing it, he couldn’t let it happen as he wanted to ta it.

He felt a bit pressed to find out where they were fighting.

Still, he collected the Pyro Sli’s demonic core and stored it into his interspatial ring, just then, a great sense of danger ca from beneath him.

Ray jumped, launching himself upwards. It was a simple and quick jump but it made him soar high into the sky like an eagle.

A sharp earth spike burst out of the spot where he had just been, tearing the ground apart and flinging mud in every direction.

When this scene flashed through his eyes, Ray shivered, thinking he had barely avoided the dreadful fate of losing his manhood and being split in half from the bottom!

As gravity pulled him down, he scanned his surroundings with a scrutinizing gaze, quickly locating the source of the dreadful attack.

It was an Earth Sli, sticking to the bark of a tree like glue, its colour was no different than the tree’s bark, no wonder why he missed it despite being cautious and vigilant.

Landing on the ground, Ray sent an Azure Wind Blade flying in its direction. The Earth Sli leaped off the tree to save its life.

Ray snorted. "Since you were foolish enough to bite more than you can chew, give up your life."

With a thought, he made the Azure Wind Blade change direction. It flew after the Earth Sli that was still in midair, unable to change direction as it had no platform under it.

The Azure Wind Blade split it apart.

♦️ You have killed the Royal Guard of the King Sli that attacked you out of anger when it saw you kill the King’s spy. You have gained 50 EXP.

"The system has started giving more aningful notifications..."

Ray noticed the change but didn’t think much. He collected the demonic core of the sli he’d just slain just as a massive sli erupted from the ground.

It was the size of two carriages, its colour a mix of yellow and green. Two curved horns jutted from its head, glinting faintly in the starlight. It had two marble-like eyes. It looked rather cute.

But it was a Giant Nature Sli, a commander-type Peak Iron Demonic Monster, and in a dungeon like the Sli Nest, it was considered an area boss, second only to the dungeon boss. It wasn’t to be underestimated.

Ray’s vigilance rose as he quickly went through the best way to deal with it. Slis were weak to fire in general, but a Nature Sli was even more pathetic when faced with such attacks. He spat out jets of fire.

The Giant Nature Sli created a wall of wood to block.

The defense it raised easily crumbled apart but it was no longer there.

Its two beady eyes stared at Ray venomously from several ters away.

It was sleeping peacefully but the commotion had forced it awake, such an offense couldn’t be simply forgiven, it wanted to see blood!

"Nuri!"

A roar as loud as the honking of a train escaped the Giant Nature Sli.

The ground quivered. Thick vines burst out, snapping through the air like whips. They lashed toward Ray. He slashed them apart with Azure Wind Blades.

Not expecting its violent binding to fail, the Giant Nature Sli had already followed up with its next attack. It leaped high into the air. Its body expanded and solidified, becoming hard like wood. Its shadow fell on Ray, swallowing him in darkness as it ca crashing down.

As he wasn’t immobilized, he easily escaped the fate of getting crushed beneath it.

He inhaled sharply, then exhaled.

Max Power Level 1 Dragon Fire Breath!

A torrent of fire burst out, engulfing the Giant Nature Sli mid-descent. Its temperature was so fierce it boiled away its body in seconds, leaving behind nothing but a smoldering demonic core that fell with a thud. Ray collected it too.

For killing it, he didn’t much EXP. He still needed 30k EXP to level up again.

Bomb!

A loud noise erupted from behind.

Ray turned around and saw fireworks in the sky.

His brows furrowed.

As smart as he was, how could he not understand what it ant? It was a signal to hand out its location to the fiends. More trouble was on its way!!!
