Vol 4 Chapter 111: The Undercover Plan
“F**k.” Mo Pine was stunned.
What he had sensed—was Lin Jing?
Lin Jing’s incarnation had fused with Demonic Bloodline?
“B*llshit! How could sothing that ridiculous happen?!” Mo Pine exploded with curses. “You brat, you’re not pulling my leg, are you?”
A small world…
D*mn it. That Immortal Palace organization really had the audacity to extract the blood of Immortal Realm’s Demonic Race and give it as a reward to lower-realm prodigies?
But, thinking again… that wasn’t entirely impossible. Mo Pine’s expression shifted rapidly.
Before the Demon Lord broke through to Immortal Emperor, the Demonic Race was indeed one of the top clans in the Immortal Realm—but not so high as to be untouchable. An Immortal Palace with an Immortal King backing them could very well have had the ability to capture mbers of the Demonic Race for pill refining.
So, it had just been a misunderstanding earlier?
“Why would I lie to you?” Lin Jing laughed. “The odds of Heavenly Demon Sect cultivators slipping past a crowd of Seekers of the Way unnoticed and invading this realm are clearly way lower than what I just said. Don’t worry, senior—I swear I won’t let my incarnation get within ten thousand miles of you!”
Mo Pine snorted, “Screw you! Just a re demonic cultivator—what’s there to be afraid of? I was only exaggerating the threat to make you take it seriously. Otherwise, if I really t one, I’d handle it myself.”
“Sure, sure.” Lin Jing played along to save Mo Pine so face. But Mo Pine was still a bit shocked. “You brat actually got your hands on Demonic Bloodline…”
“You really do have so luck on your side. In my view, with how things stand in the lower realms right now, having Demonic Bloodline is even more aningful than having an Immortal Body.”
“You know what this ans?”
“What?”
“Items from the Immortal Realm aren’t easy to transmit to the lower realms. Which ans, demonic cultivators down here are extrely rare.”
“If your incarnation goes to any cultivation continent already taken over by the Heavenly Demon Sect, but without a demonic cultivator stationed there—so long as your disguise holds—you’ll be treated like an honored guest. The other Heavenly Demon Sect mbers will consider you a big shot!”
“The sect’s influence spreads throughout the lower realms. As long as you don’t stir up any major drama, no one will bother investigating your origins... After all, Demonic Bloodline is nearly impossible to fake. Who would've thought the ancient Immortal Palace was crazy enough to extract blood from Immortal Realm clans just to ‘enhance’ so genius.”
“Is that so…” Lin Jing hesitated, then said, “According to intel, there are quite a few Heavenly Demon Sect cultivators in the Origin Realm now. If my incarnation enters with a demonic identity… maybe I could blend in?”
“My real body enters the Cultivation Alliance. The incarnation joins the Heavenly Demon Sect. Inside-out coordination—maybe we can get our hands on more Origin Realm resources that way!”
“Exactly!!” Mo Pine cackled with glee, completely back to his normal self. “The Heavenly Demon Sect mbers that entered the Origin Realm are basically cut off from external communication. Under such circumstances, you could fabricate any identity and integrate easily.”
“Actually, you don’t even have to make it up from scratch. I’ve still got scraps of info in my mory—tons of Heavenly Demon Sect intelligence I can give you.”
“For example, there was once a demonic cultivator nad Heavenly Hatred Demon Empress. She vanished during her return to the ‘Heavenly Demon Realm’ after accidentally falling into a star rift. Presud dead, maybe erased from existence.”
“Once you verify the details, you could claim she’s not dead—just recovering sowhere—and that you’re her temporary disciple. That would instantly elevate you to a top-tier second-gen demon!”
“And that’s just one story. I’ve got plenty more. You can pick whichever fits best.”
“Of course, there will still be so holes in the story, but it’ll be enough to let you command a faction of Heavenly Demon Sect elites for a while—especially in the Origin Realm, where barely any Heavenly Demon Sect elites have Demonic Bloodline.”
“So basically, once your incarnation reaches the Origin Realm, there’s a good chance you’ll be one of the most noble-blooded mbers in the local Heavenly Demon Sect!”
“Sooo, kid—you’re seriously lucky… Wait a sec. Your real body’s joining the Lin Jing Alliance? What’s that?” Mo Pine suddenly asked.
A cultivator nearby explained, “The Lin Jing Alliance is a group ford over the past ten thousand years by exiled cultivators from the Tangwen Region, who fled before the Heavenly Demon Sect took over. It’s currently made up of refugees from various Tangwen continents. Though still developing, it’s already strong enough to oppose the Heavenly Demon Realm in so areas. When the junior first arrived in the Tianyuan Continent, the Lin Jing Alliance hadn’t yet taken shape.”
“Brilliant. Your real body joins the Cultivation Alliance to gather resources, your incarnation taps into the Heavenly Demon Sect’s stockpile. In no ti, you’ll be ready for Seeking the Way!”
Lin Jing gave a wry smile. “Let’s hope so…”
Because if sothing went wrong and he got exposed, the backlash would be brutal.
After wrapping up his discussion with Mo Pine, Lin Jing turned to managing access to the Enlightennt Pool, planning to let each of his pet beasts take turns using it.
Even though, according to Mo Pine, he had a huge advantage going into the Origin Realm, Lin Jing still didn’t want to get complacent. He had to keep strengthening his base power just in case.
First up was the Ice Soul Gu. Lin Jing tossed it into the Enlightennt Pool and had it start studying disciplines beyond its usual Blood Gu poison arts—
Like swordsmanship.
With a mutated Bodhi Leaf in its belly, and Hunyuan Sword Intent and Guardian Sword Intent of the Seekers of the Way as its enlightennt subjects, plus a range of external assistance, the Ice Soul Gu would definitely achieve swift mastery in sword arts.
After glancing at the Ice Soul Gu—currently controlling dozens of icy swords with spider-silk-like threads in the pool—Lin Jing’s real body threw out a flying sword toward the Heavenly Sword Sect. Then he transmitted intel about the Two-World Small World to the Demon Emperor before preparing to claim his promised rewards.
The top-tier dragon vein promised by the second-generation Ancient Emperor was due within half a year—no use rushing it.
But what Lin Jing did need urgently were the Heavenly Fla Gu, the final one of the Ten Great Rare Gu, in the hands of Liu Gongzhuo (a head of the Demon Extermination Division), and the high-tier demonic criminals (above Nascent Soul level) imprisoned by the Division—key to leveling up his pet beasts.
Not long after, at the headquarters of the Demon Extermination Division—
Just as Lin Jing arrived, ready to speak with Liu Gongzhuo, he witnessed sothing thoroughly frustrating:
An elder with a vaguely familiar face ca flying in, shouting at the top of his lungs, “I’m Gao Zhao! Which shaless b*stard took my grandson? I just got back from a mission—I’d love to see who gave such a huge ‘surprise’! Let go of my boy, now!”
“…Lin Jing.”
A voice erged from within the Demon Extermination Division headquarters, calm and firm: “Brother Gao, calm down. Your grandson violated the Ancient Kingdom’s law by trying to trade a Fortune Dragon Vein. Even if he’s your grandson, he must be tried through legal procedures…”
Gao Sheng’s grandfather’s face twisted, clearly confused—he couldn’t figure out who the Gao Family or Gao Sheng had offended to end up being frad like this.
anwhile, Lin Jing, who had quietly arrived, fell into deep thought.
Seriously?
Gao Sheng had the Fortune Physique, but it only worked half the ti?
You’re the descendant of a demon-hunting aristocrat and a second-gen cultivator—how did you get caught stealing a dragon vein to resurrect the first Ancient Emperor, right under your own family's nose???
