Lin Jing quickly glanced over at Pine Leaf Mouse’s situation.
Caught between a Mountain Spirit and a Wind Demon, it was in rough shape—right now, all it could do was keep dodging using spatial magic.
Pine Leaf Mouse was only at the Core Formation Stage. Even if it assud its True Form of the Demon King, it would still struggle against a Mountain Spirit—let alone with a Wind Demon in the mix.
In this kind of situation, the only attack that might still affect both of them was its Monster Core Divine Ability.
Its ability, Five-Elent World, beca more powerful the more elental objects it stored inside.
And after the battle in Tongtian City, Pine Leaf Mouse’s Five-Elent World had absorbed countless inheritances from Void Mystical and Nascent Soul cultivators, making its power utterly terrifying.
So, if it unleashed its Core Formation Divine Ability, Pine Leaf Mouse was confident it could go toe-to-toe with both opponents.

“Her current defense cos from the Mountain Spirits. If we can eliminate those, and prevent her from borrowing their traits, that would be her weakest mont.”
“But without the Emperor Dragon Carp, taking down these creatures with just Pine Leaf Mouse and is too hard.”
“Even if we kill a batch, if she can summon more, we’re still stuck in a dead end.”
“There’s only one option left—see if I can use the Divine Control Technique to steal her summoned creatures for myself.”
“If I gain control over them and her power weakens, that’s the best chance to strike.”

In a flash of thought, Lin Jing made his decision. He’d go all-in to challenge the Creation Immortal Physique.
At this point, there was no winning without sacrifice.

As the newly summoned Nascent Soul Tree Demon lashed out with countless limbs, Lin Jing beca a streak of light, weaving through the gaps in the massive trunk.

As he blinked between the gaps in space, the Core Formation cultivator appeared on the Tree Demon’s shoulder, locking eyes with the projected Creation Immortal Physique.
“Divine Control Technique.” Lin Jing slamd a palm onto the Mountain Spirit and burned through ten years of lifespan to activate his Core Formation Divine Ability. A glowing Core Mark imdiately appeared on the creature’s body.
RUMBLE.
Just as the Mountain Spirit was about to swat away the "fly" on its shoulder, its raised arm suddenly froze in place.
It worked!
His Divine Control Technique had succeeded in seizing control of the creature she summoned!
At that mont, Lin Jing caught a rare flicker of emotion across the otherwise unconscious Luo Miao’s face. As his divine sense swept outward, he confird it—now that he controlled the Mountain Spirit, her power had actually decreased!
Just as he suspected…
“Crush her.” Lin Jing gave the order. The Mountain Spirit raised its enormous hand and slamd it down at the Creation Immortal Physique.
Luo Miao gave a light humph, leaping off the Mountain Spirit and landing atop the Nascent Soul Tree Demon. But in the next mont, a few red leaves fluttered down, and Lin Jing, holding one of those red leaves, switched places with Pine Leaf Mouse, landing on the second Mountain Spirit.
Again, he burned ten years of lifespan, slapping another Divine Control Mark onto it.
To weaken the Creation Immortal Physique, Lin Jing burned twenty years of his life back-to-back and cast his Divine Ability twice in a row. His golden core was now riddled with cracks.
“I can’t keep going like this. The outco will be decided here and now.”
Having taken control of both Mountain Spirits, the physical toughness of the Creation Immortal Physique finally dropped to a normal range.
Lin Jing didn’t press further—while he still had lifespan to spare, his golden core was overloaded.
More importantly, he could feel Luo Miao trying to wrest back control of the two Mountain Spirits. If she succeeded, it would all be for nothing.
At this critical mont, Pine Leaf Mouse, who had swapped positions with him, launched its attack at the exact sa ti.
This was it!
Its eyes glowed bright red. Letting out a battle cry, it summoned its monster core from within, raising it above its head as though it were lifting the sky.
The massive core was even larger than a Mountain Spirit—like a five-colored teor crashing from the heavens. It ca hurtling down toward the Nascent Soul Tree Demon and Luo Miao in one devastating blow.
One Core to crush all.
“Aiii—!!”
As the monster core descended, countless cracks began to form across its surface. The Tree Demon’s branches were pulverized in an instant.
Though Luo Miao had no consciousness, her combat instincts scread at her: there was no way she could withstand that hit.
BOOM!
Inside the Cave Heaven, all the projections shattered into glimring light and vanished.
Lin Jing and Pine Leaf Mouse plumted from the sky, landing heavily on the ground. Enduring the agonizing pain of a fractured golden core, they sat cross-legged to begin healing.
At the sa ti, the reward projection from the Immortal Palace finally appeared before Lin Jing—it was either a technique or secret art.
And the mont he saw it, his expression darkened even more.
“I already have a main cultivation technique. What the h*ll is this supposed to be?! I sacrificed twenty years of my life, risked my golden core shattering, and all I get is another technique?!”
