Vol 3 Chapter 59: Prison-Suppressing Dragon Turtle

"As expected of the Kirin Clan, they’re truly generous."

The three Holy Maidens bead with joy, and their followers were eager to fight.

A top-tier exotic fla—once refined, it could be used for a lifeti without issue, not to ntion that the Heavenly Thunder Fla was among the most terrifyingly destructive of its kind.

With this fla, one could even experience a faint trace of tribulation lightning in advance—undeniably precious. Only an ancient clan like the Kirin, who had birthed multiple Void Mystical Demon Ancestors, could afford such treasures.

As for the Bone Kirin Ring, it was a life-saving artifact gifted by the Kirin Clan to their most talented youths. Extrely rare, it required no mana to activate and could summon a Bone Kirin guardian at no cost.

The Bone Kirin itself was a mutant species of the Kirin Clan, born without flesh—only a skeletal fra—yet possessed terrifying combat prowess. Its bones were as tough as magical artifacts, making it a formidable warrior.

The Kirin summoned by this ring wasn’t its true form, but even as an avatar, its combat power was unrivaled within the Nascent Soul Demon Emperor realm.

As for the Thousand-Year Lifespan Fruit, it was a specialty of the Kirin Clan, nurtured for countless years by their unique longevity aura. Its only drawback was its extre potency—far less gentle than other longevity elixirs—and its resistance buildup was imnse, aning it could only be consud once.

Yet, gaining an extra thousand years of life was sothing no prodigy would refuse.

For them, the key wasn’t just the added years, but the extension of their "pri cultivation period." With a prolonged golden age, they could train at peak efficiency for a longer ti without decline in learning ability due to aging.

"Win it for ." The First Holy Maiden concealed her expression with a fan, her eyes gleaming. "If you secure victory, all three of these treasures will be yours. I’ll even add three more resources of the sa level as a reward."

Behind her, both humans and beasts stirred with excitent.

"If you claim the ultimate victory, not only will these three treasures be awarded to the outstanding perforrs, but I will also personally craft an exclusive demon technique tailored to you." The Second Holy Maiden, Shen Xi, spoke.

Behind her, the gathered beasts took a step forward.

The two Holy Maidens were determined to win. After all, they had dominated every previous Holy Maiden Tea Ceremony.

Although this ti, the Third Holy Maiden, Xu Qingyao, had brought along a freak known as the Fire Dragon Alchemist, his pet beast was still receiving the Kirin Ancestors' bloodline blessing and couldn’t participate in battle.

Even if it could, that newborn monster Kirin had only just reached the initial Demon Core Stage—it might not even be able to defeat the Demon Ancestor Disciples at the peak of the Demon Core realm.

"Do your best." When it ca to Xu Qingyao's side, she simply said, "How’s that Solar False Core working for you? If you perform well… I’ll have the Fire Dragon Alchemist make you a few more."

Lin Jing: ???

"ROAR!!" Led by the great black bull, the Sparrowfeather Squad was fired up.

"You guys can forget about showing off." Lin Jing wasn’t about to waste his ti making pills for them.

One wasn’t enough?

Senior Sister really had no stock left? Why was she making him hand out rewards?

"Alright, as per the rules, First Holy Maiden, please send out your defender first," the Ink Kirin Clan Chief announced.

The First Holy Maiden nodded. From behind her, a massive crimson Dragon Turtle slowly stepped forward and flew onto the arena.

It was none other than her strongest subordinate—a Dragon Turtle with the inheritance of a Demon Ancestor!

At this mont, as the Seventh and Eighth Holy Sons watched, Ouyang Hao once again leaned close to Yan Yi and whispered, "This guy is ridiculously strong."

"The Demon Court has a top-tier technique called Life or Death Scripture. Its recovery and defensive capabilities undergo qualitative leaps with each breakthrough, but it’s incredibly difficult to cultivate. That guy is one of the very few who succeeded. Because of this, he was taken as an honorary disciple by a Demon Ancestor of the Demon Court, who then passed down a top-tier attack and defense technique—Dragon Prison Suppression Art."

"You know about the Dragon Prison Suppression Art, right? The Dragon Prison was an ancient East Sea Dragon Clan prison, rumored to have once held even half-immortals from the Ancient Celestial Palace. The Dragon Prison Suppression Art was cultivated by the Prison-Suppressing Dragon of that era—it transforms the body into an immortal prison, unbreakable and unshakable, capable of suppressing with sheer force. It was thought to be lost when the East Sea Dragon Clan was wiped out, but apparently, a Demon Ancestor of the Demon Court still possesses it—and even passed it down to that guy."

The alchemist nodded—it made sense. After all, the Dragon Clan had once been the leaders of the ancient demon race. It wasn’t surprising that the Demon Court had preserved so of their legacies.

At this mont, the Second Holy Maiden, Shen Xi, spoke. "Sending out your strongest right from the start? Interesting. Aren’t you afraid we’ll just wear it down with repeated attacks?"

"I have no such fears," the First Holy Maiden replied with a slight smile.

"Second Holy Maiden, please send out your challenger," the Kirin Clan Chief continued. The sequence of defenders and attackers was evidently determined by the ranking of the Holy Maidens.

The Second Holy Maiden nodded as well. From behind her, a massive Late-Stage Demon Core Giant Elephant grew even larger as it stepped onto the arena.

The Giant Elephant’s bloodline was overwhelmingly dominant. With a thunderous stomp, it slamd down on the Dragon Turtle. But as prison runes spread across the turtle’s shell, a loud boom sent the elephant flipping backward.

This outco surprised no one. The power gap was obvious, and the Second Holy Maiden’s true goal was simply to wear the opponent down.

However, the scene that followed made both Shen Xi and Xu Qingyao’s expressions shift.

After two more rounds of attacks, the Dragon Turtle showed no intention of counterattacking—it simply kept defending with the Dragon Prison Suppression Art.

Logically, this should have been a decent strategy, as the Dragon Prison Suppression Art was bound to consu a massive amount of energy. But…

As the battle went on, the Giant Elephant was the one getting exhausted, while the Dragon Turtle’s power was steadily rising. Its energy, instead of depleting, was actually being replenished.

"Mastered Dragon Prison Suppression Art… It has fully mastered the technique?" The Second Holy Maiden frowned.

"Finally noticed?" The First Holy Maiden smirked. "I paid a steep price to send Egu to Poseidon Palace for deep training so he could perfect the Dragon Prison Suppression Art. At full mastery, the more damage he endures, the stronger he becos. If you think you can beat him through attrition, you’re deluding yourself."

"Your Highness, you don’t need to explain everything so clearly," the Dragon Turtle, Egu, said indifferently, as he sent the Giant Elephant crashing off the arena with a single strike. His crimson eyes swept coldly across the crowd, lingering especially on the Iron-Eating Beast under the Second Holy Maiden.

Now knowing that his formidable opponent had fully mastered his technique, the Iron-Eating Beast’s expression grew serious.

Even Xu Qingyao frowned—she hadn’t expected this at all. She glanced at Lin Jing, only to see him looking utterly unbothered. She let out a sigh of relief.

"What do you think…?"

"The opponent is strong, stronger than I expected. Beating him will take considerable effort—I'll have to go all out," Lin Jing admitted. "But… it’s still within my capability. Ouyang, do you want to go have so fun?"

For the other Sparrowfeather mbers, performing well for rewards wasn’t a huge deal. But Lin Jing treated Senior Brother Ouyang with respect—if he wanted to step onto the stage for a mont of glory, Lin Jing had no objections.

"Huh? ? Quit joking," Ouyang Hao froze.
