Vol 2 Chapter 41: Prison Break?

In the following days, Lin Jing executed a demonic cultivator every day. During the remaining ti, he focused on managing the production of the Rising Dragon Pills refined by the Fla Dragon Carp and recruiting new mbers.

The Pine Leaf Mouse cultivated fields, the Fla Dragon Carp refined pills, and Lin Jing handled pre-sales. Before long, the orders were overflowing, but due to the Fla Dragon Carp's limited production capacity, Lin Jing prioritized selling to those willing to join the Dragon Palace.

anwhile, in the capital city of the Ancient Celestial Kingdom, Tianyuan Immortal City, lay the residence of the Wang family, a prominent family of cultivators. As an old and established cultivation clan, the Wang family’s ancestor had been a great cultivator in the Void Profound Stage, famous across the kingdom. Though that ancestor had long passed, a Peak Nascent Soul ancestor still presided over the family.

Wang Xiao, the most talented junior of the current generation, was highly valued by the family.

“Xiao’er, why have you returned?” Wang Xiao’s father asked when he saw him returning ho one day.

Wang Xiao paused before replying, “I’ve co to retrieve a Battle Tiger.”

The Battle Tigers, known for their combat prowess and extraordinary beast bloodline, were the mounts of Wang family disciples. So were even capable of montarily standing against King-tier Beasts. When Wang Xiao had left for the Hidden Dragon Academy, his father had asked if he needed a mount, but Wang Xiao had declined.

Now, his request for a Battle Tiger left his father puzzled.

After Wang Xiao took the Battle Tiger with the bloodline closest to King-tier, a Shadow Guard appeared beside the Wang family head.

“Investigate what happened in the Hidden Dragon Academy,” the family head commanded.

The Shadow Guard soon returned. “Master, word has spread in Hidden Dragon City about a duel involving the Divine Son…”

“Xiao’er lost?” The Wang family head showed little surprise. He had sent Wang Xiao to the academy precisely to temper him.

Though the Heavenly God Physique was strong, it ranked only around 90th among the Physique Rankings. For the Wang family, it was decent, but far from the strongest within the academy, let alone the cultivation world.

The academy housed nurous divine physiques, so of which had once been listed in the Physique Rankings, like the Talisman Physique, which later fell off the list. The differences between such physiques were not as significant as imagined; their strength depended largely on the wielder.

Having anticipated setbacks for Wang Xiao, his father was ntally prepared.

“He didn’t lose. It was a draw,” the Shadow Guard replied.

“A draw? With whom? For Xiao’er to return ho and seek a War Beast to strengthen himself? He once dismissed King Bloodline Demonic Beasts as insignificant.”

The Shadow Guard hesitated before saying, “The Divine Son… drew with Lin Jing of the Beast Taming Sect.”

“Lin Jing? The one at Qi Refinent Stage 10 with both himself and his pets?” The Wang family head was stunned. “He broke through to Foundation Establishnt already? The Beast Taming Sect must have undergone a revival, producing a genius with great fortune. I’ve t this Lin Jing before—quite remarkable. If Xiao’er fought him to a draw, it’s plausible.”

“Xiao’er must have fought against multiple enemies and felt frustrated, so he sought a mount to assist him,” the family head concluded, shaking his head.

“Master, that’s not the case,” the Shadow Guard interjected. “Rumors say the Divine Son… drew with a newly trained Qi Refinent Stage Fla Dragon Carp of Lin Jing’s. Lin Jing’s contracted Pine Leaf Mouse didn’t even fight, nor did Lin Jing himself, who hasn’t broken through to Foundation Establishnt. The Divine Son suppressed his cultivation level for the duel, witnessed by many.”

The Wang family head: ???

“My son lost to a carp? HAHAHAHA! Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Investigate further and report back!” Wang Xiao’s father waved his hand, laughing uproariously.

After taking a Battle Tiger with King-level bloodline, Wang Xiao disappeared. His whereabouts remained unknown, but under the rising influence of his na, Lin Jing’s Dragon Palace continued to grow.

In front of Lin Jing’s cave residence, Xu Zhizhi, dressed like a strategist, reported, “In the past three months, the Dragon Palace has recruited 24 mbers, including 20 new Foundation Establishnt disciples at the early stage and four seniors at the mid-stage.”

“All 24 have now obtained Dragon-Blooded Pets and are training them rigorously, preparing to participate in the Autumn Hunt.”

“Not bad.” Lin Jing gazed at the morning sun and instructed, “If they perform well in the Autumn Hunt, more people will pre-order the Rising Dragon Pills. Tell them to focus not only on training their pets but also on improving their own strength. Pet and owner must grow together for optimal combat power.”

He handed Xu Zhizhi a manual. “Distribute this Dragon-Blooded Pet Training Guide to them and let them know that outstanding performance in the Autumn Hunt will earn them free Rising Dragon Pills as rewards.”

In the past three months, Lin Jing had sold Rising Dragon Pills to every genius who joined the Dragon Palace. A few impoverished ones couldn’t afford them, as acquiring pills, buying pets, and preparing to control them required a large amount of Spirit Stones.

Out of goodwill, Lin Jing offered his test beasts, such as the Dragon-Scaled Caterpillar, at low prices. For non-mbers, Lin Jing withheld sales, planning to sell only after the Autumn Hunt.

The Rising Dragon Pill business was imnsely profitable. Each sale yielded significant profits, and the pets’ training required a continuous supply of pills. Lin Jing envisioned a flourishing future for the Dragon Palace.

Currently, the four deacons of the Dragon Palace were Gao Sheng, Xu Zhizhi, Yuan Jing, and Ziling’er.

Initially, Gao Sheng wanted to be a strategist but was persuaded otherwise by Lin Jing. Xu Zhizhi managed publicity and strategic planning, discussing affairs with Lin Jing. Yuan Jing and Gao Sheng served as core combat strength, while Ziling’er was being grood to handle the pill refinent for Rising Dragon Pills, ensuring the recipe wouldn’t spread since the core ingredients were with the Pine Leaf Mouse.

However, Lin Jing regretted not being able to recruit Wang Xiao and Chen Lingxi, two of the academy’s strongest freshn. Chen Lingxi had already joined another organization.

After sending off Xu Zhizhi, Lin Jing left the academy and headed for the Demon-Slaying Bureau’s underground immortal prison.

Today marked the hundredth day of his executions. With one more kill, he could obtain a Pine Cone.

Over the past three months, the Fla Dragon Carp had rapidly improved its pill-refining techniques, nearing mastery of Foundation Establishnt Pills. Once Lin Jing obtained the Pine Cone, they could begin attempting the Longevity Foundation Pill.

In the execution chamber, Lin Jing used Diamond Fist to crush the head of the demonic cultivator for the day.

Diamond Fist was a Buddhist technique Lin Jing had recently cultivated. He discovered that the Buddhist Pearl, which suppressed the Ice Soul Gu, emitted a Buddhist aura that enhanced his ordinary punches and kicks. Through experinting with Diamond Fist, Lin Jing found that strong Buddhist energy amplified the technique’s power, surpassing conventional spells.

Thus, his recent executions often involved the Diamond Fist, integrating punches, palms, and finger techniques to enhance both his strength and physique.

The technique not only subdued demons but also tempered the body.

“Thank you, Senior Zhang, for looking after these past few months,” Lin Jing said, bidding farewell to Zhang Hu, a Demon-Slaying Guard.

“No need for thanks,” Zhang Hu laughed. “I’ll escort you out.”

“To be honest, I wish I could keep you here. You’re the best executioner I’ve seen in this place. Most Foundation Establishnt cultivators would lose their sanity after three months of high-intensity work here, but you look unaffected.”

Lin Jing smiled, taking it as a complint.

As Zhang Hu accompanied Lin Jing aboveground, they were about to part ways when Lin Jing’s expression suddenly changed. His body was flooded with warnings.

The sky shifted.

A massive void vortex appeared above, and a gigantic claw erged from within. Zhang Hu’s face turned pale with shock.

“Soone’s breaking into the prison?!” he exclaid.

Lin Jing froze, feeling a life-threatening danger. “Why would soone attack this prison? The strongest here are only Golden Core demons… This is aid at !”

In that mont, Lin Jing’s mind raced to identify who might be coming for him.
