Loreia frowned as she felt the tight grip of the Chimawren's talons around her leg, dragging her higher and higher into the sky.

Loreai frowned as she gritted her teeth and shouted. "Damn you, bastard!"

Without hesitation, she adjusted her grip on her spear and plunged it straight into the Chimawren's skull.

The sharp tip of the spear easily pierced through its mutated flesh effortlessly, sinking deep into its head.

The Chimawren let out a final scrreh before its entire body stiffened and its grip on Loreai's leg loosened.

Loreia frowned as she realized what she had done wrong. She had killed the beast and now she was free and falling. "Tch—!"

She was thinking what to do in the sky, but before she could do so, the remaining Chimawren imdiately moved.

Their programd instincts kicked in, sensing an opportunity.

One by one, they went toward her, preparing their steel wings to attack.

They were going to cut her apart before she even hit the ground.

Loreia frowned after realizing the situation she was in. "Shit."

From below, Vance grinned as he watched. "That's what happens when you act without thinking. No one survives mid-air against them."

Loreia frowned, gripping her spear tightly as she tumbled mid-air. She didn't know what to do.

There were too many enemies, too many attacks coming at once.

She had seconds before they tore into her but then sothing unexpected happened.

One of the Chimawren screeched violently, its entire body convulsing. Its wings twitched unnaturally.

The tallic implants embedded in its body sparked violently, small arcs of electricity snapping through its nerves.

Loreia was a bit surprised. "What?"

The Chimawren, unable to stabilize itself, suddenly flew off course and collided headfirst into two of its allies.

It made one of the Chimawren panic, flapping its wings erratically and slicing the beast next to it.

Another one lost control entirely, spiraling downward and accidentally slashed through the throat of another Chimawren with its talon.

In an instant, nurous Chimawrens were completely out of their formation.

Loreai blinked in surprise. "Huh? What the hell is happening?"

From below, Vance's smirk disappeared as he was frowning. "What the hell?! Why are they ssing up now?!"

One of the investigators stepped forward with a pale face. "Sir! It—it's the implants! So of them are malfunctioning!"

Vance gritted his teeth, his irritation rising. "Impossible. That shouldn't be happening! They were designed for precision, not—"

Another investigator looked at his wrist device. He was also confused. "The control signals are unstable! It's like sothing is interfering with them!"

Vance was really frustrated as he clenched his fists in anger. "How can this be?! It never failed before! So why—why are they failing now?!"

The control system was breaking down, the beasts were attacking each other, and the carefully calculated aerial assault had collapsed into pure chaos.

This was not supposed to happen.

anwhile, Loreia, who was still falling, quickly analyzed the situation.

She quickly found so Chimawren corpses and an idea appeared in her head.

It was a wild and risky but efficient idea. She gripped her spear tightly, adjusting her stance mid-air. "Alright. Let's ride this down."

She used her spear to row herself toward one of the corpses and stood on top of it.

After that, she targeted the corpse body and aid with her spear.

She launched the spear at the Chimawren's lifeless body below her.

The spear struck deep, embedding itself in the corpse's thick, scaly hide.

The corpse now fell fast toward the ground and she, who was on top of it, rode the corpse straight to the ground.

The wind whipped against her face as she gravity pulled her down faster and faster. Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire

She tightened her stance, keeping her balance. "I should be fine. My body is stronger now thanks to the spear."

---

Vance was still furious as he turned toward the investigators and barked. "Quickly! Find the cause of the interference!"

The investigators scrambled, frantically tapping on their wrist devices.

One of them, his hands shaking, muttered, "Sir, w-we're scanning, but the signals are still unstable!"

Another gritted his teeth, his face pale. "It doesn't make sense! There are no external hacking sources! The interference is… coming from the Chimawren themselves?!"

Vance snapped his gaze toward him. "What the hell are you talking about?! They're machines—they don't just malfunction on their own!"

The investigator swallowed hard. "I don't know, sir! But the control override isn't responding!"

Another shouted out in panic. "Sir! One of the Chimawren corpses—it's falling—!"

Vance looked up instinctively. He was just in ti to see it and imdiately shocked.

A massive Chimawren corpse was plumting like a teor straight toward them.

Vance imdiately cursed and shouted. "Damn it! RUN! NOW!"

The investigators barely had ti to react before the corpse crashed into the ground.

BOOOOM!

The impact shattered the earth beneath them, sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

So of the investigators weren't fast enough and were crushed by the impact.

So others were thrown violently across the battlefield, screaming in pain.

Vance shielded himself with his arm, gritting his teeth as dust and rubble scraped against his face.

When the smoke cleared, the battlefield was a ss. Bodies lay scattered.

So groaing in pain and so... not moving at all.

Vance frowned as she turned toward the impact site and saw who was there. "Damn it… YOU MONSTER GIRL!"

A figure soon rose from the rubble and it was Loreia. Her clothes were torn slightly from the force, but beneath it...

Her body was only dirtied with the dust, but it was healing at fast rates.

She rolled her shoulders as if shaking off a minor inconvenience before grinning.

She then stretched her arms lazily before gripping her spear again. "Not bad. A bit rough on the landing, but quite a good skydive."

Vance stared in disbelief. To think that Loreia just turned a Chimawren into a weapon, crushed his forces, and erged completely fine.

Vance was now trembling in rage. "You... you insane freak..."

Loreia laughed, spinning her spear in her hand. "Freak? No, no."

She smirked as she pointed her spear at him. "I'm just a simple girl and I'm just getting started."
