Lucius sat comfortably on the couch, while Loreia stretched lazily, looking completely relaxed.

Loreia grinned smugly. "Well, I quit my job."

Loreia snickered. "Alright, alright! Let's go eat. My treat."
Lucius raised his eyebrow. "Oh? You're actually paying?"

Lucius sighed dramatically. "How generous."

Luna and Liora were riding Loxen, going through the city's streets.
Despite their experience in battle, this world's layout was completely foreign to them.
The tall buildings, the unfamiliar roads, and the strange machines moving through the streets. It was nothing like the world they knew before.
After getting lost multiple tis, Luna groaned in frustration. "Just where the hell is this place?! I don't know anything about this damn town's geography!"
She glared at the towering buildings around them. "How do people even navigate here? Everything looks the sa! Just tall, tal, and weird glowing lights everywhere!"
Liora sighed. "This isn't a battlefield, Luna. We can't just rely on instincts alone."
Luna grumbled, looking up at a particularly tall skyscraper. "Tch. These buildings are ridiculous. Why are they so high? Who needs that much space above their heads? In our world, the only things that reached the sky were mountains, not buildings!"
Liora nodded slightly, glancing around. "It's not just the height that's confusing. The roads twist in strange ways, and these glowing signs… they're everywhere. It's like the whole city is alive with strange markings."
Luna clicked her tongue, shaking her head. "I hate it. Give a battlefield over this ss any day. At least there, everything is simple, kill or be killed. Here? We're just walking in circles."
Liora chuckled. "You're just mad because you're bad at directions."
Luna glared at her. "Shut up, Liora."
Liora smirked and patted Loxen's side. "Instead of wandering aimlessly, let's just ask soone."
Luna rolled her eyes. "Fine. Just make it quick. If I hear one more person talking about 'roads' or 'districts,' I swear I'm going to punch sothing."
Liora dismounted from Loxen, walking toward a nearby old lady who sat on a small bench, feeding so street birds.
anwhile, Loxen and Luna hid in the shadows, avoiding unnecessary attention.
Liora approached politely. "Excuse , ma'am. Could I ask for directions?"
The old lady turned toward her, her eyes studying Liora for a mont before smiling warmly. "Oh my, are you lost, dear? You must be new around here."
Liora returned the smile. "Yes, sothing like that. I heard there was an A-Rank beast zone nearby, and I want to know its location… so I can avoid it."
The old woman chuckled. "A wise girl. Not many newcors have that kind of caution."
She then raised her wrinkled hand, pointing in a specific direction. "Listen carefully, dear. Go straight down this road, take two lefts, then two rights. At the very end of that path, you'll find the A-Rank beast zone."
Liora smiled, nodding gratefully. "Thank you very much."
The old woman patted her shoulder gently. "You're welco, my dear. Be careful out there."
Liora bowed slightly in thanks before turning back toward the shadows where Luna and Loxen were waiting.
As she walked back, she couldn't help but smirk slightly. "Finally, we have a direction."

Lucius and Loreia sat inside Pluckin' Good Fried Beast!, enjoying their al.
In front of them was a pile of golden, crispy fried Pluckins and the mont Lucius took a bite, he was so surprised.
He chewed the food and comnted. "Wow… this actually tastes good."
Loreia grinned, grabbing a piece herself. "Of course! Pluckins are the best, especially for food."
She dipped a piece into a spicy sauce, popping it into her mouth. "This place has the best fried Pluckins in the city. I knew you'd like it."
Lucius nodded approvingly, taking another bite. "Yeah, it's been a long ti since I ate food this good."
The crispiness, the juicy at, the seasoning. It was far better than most als he had eaten in his previous world.
Loreia watched him, chewing on a fry.
Even though she had changed, even though she had gone through hell in the virtual world, at that mont, she was reminded of sothing simple. Lucius was still her little brother.

Loreia chuckled. "Nothing. Just… it's nice to see you enjoy sothing so simple."
Lucius smirked. "Food is food. If it's good, I'll enjoy it."
Loreia leaned back in her chair, sipping her drink. "Well, eat up. This is just the beginning of introducing you to all the best foods in this world."

For the first ti in a while, they weren't fighting, planning, or dealing with death.
