The three Flares moved cautiously through the Evolist Division. As they advanced deeper into the district, their artifacts suddenly began to glow faintly.
Red Flare smirked as he stared at the artifact in his hand. "It's here."
He then looked at the place where their target material was located and frowned when he looked at one of the largest residences.
Yellow Flare frowned. "Figures it'd be inside a place like this. Of course, it's not going to be easy."
Blue Flare smirked. She stepped ahead of the others. She then took out her tools. "Who said anything about easy? That's why I'm here. Give a minute."
She crouched by the gate's control panel. She began to manipulate the system and bypass the security asures.
After a few monts, the gate was opened and Blue Flare stepped inside with a smirk. "Done. Let's go."
The three of them entered the residence silently. The interior was vast and well-kept, with various tools, notes, and equipnt scattered across the space.
As they ventured deeper into the main hall, they were surprised. They could see a man that was engrossed in an experint.
They didn't know what he was doing. Yellow Flare whispered to others. "What is he doing?"
Blue Flare shook her head and scanned the room. "Doesn't matter. Our artifact picked up the target—it's on that table."
Red Flare followed her gaze. He then spotted a glowing vial among the scattered equipnt.
"That's it," Red Flare said, his voice a low growl. "The legendary material."
Yellow Flare grinned excitedly."Finally, we find it. Let's grab it and get out of here."
But before they could move, Kaltrik , who had been engrossed in his experint, suddenly straightened.
He felt sothing was wrong, so he turned around quickly. He suddenly saw three intruders that were standing in his residence.
Kaltrik was surprised and imdiately grabbed the vial on the table without hesitation. "Who are you? How dare you enter my residence?"
The Flares stepped forward. Red Flare smirked. "We're the people who know exactly what you're holding. Hand over the vial, or else..."
Kaltrik frowned. His grip on the vial tightened. "You think you can take this from ? You don't understand what you're dealing with."
Without waiting for a response, Kaltrik activated the chanic inside his residence and activated the loud alarm.
The Flares froze montarily as they were shocked. Red Flare frowned. "Damn it! He's activated the alarm!"
Yellow Flare clenched his fists and cursed. "We need to move now! We can't let them catch us."
But Blue Flare remained calm. She never turned from Kaltrik. "No. We're not leaving until we get what we need from him."
She then summoned her own beast, which was a shadow cat. It lded to the shadow and moved silently toward Kaltrik.
Kaltrik was surprised as he noticed it. The black cat appeared beside him from the shadow.
Kaltrik didn't have anyti to summon his own beast, so the shadow cat easily attacked him.
It used its eyes to hypnotize Kaltrik, making him relaxed and also fell to the ground. The shadow cat then took the vial and returned to Blue Flare.
Blue Flare smirked as she took the red vial from her shadow cat's paw. She held it up briefly and was satisfied with it.
She turned back to Kaltrik and smirked. "Thank you for this. Now, you'll sleep... and forget everything that happened here."
Blue Flare chuckled and turned back toward the others. She raised the vial to let them see. "We've got what we ca for. Let's go."
Red Flare nodded and grinned. "About ti. Let's get out of here before soone else shows up."
Yellow Flare also smirked and was ready to go. "Move fast. The longer we're here, the greater the risk."
Blue Flare waved her hand, and the shadow cat entered the portal and returned to her beast space.
Blue Flare then smirked and gestured toward the exit. The three of them were now leaving the residence as they already had what they needed.
As they slipped out of the residence, the alarm continued to ring. Kaltrik was still inside and fell into sleep after being hypnotized. His mory also began to disappear from his head.

Five minutes after the Flares vanished into the shadows, a figure erged from the shadow in the corner of the room.
A sleek, humanoid figure with silver panther-like features stepped out of the shadows.
As she moved closer, her form began to transform into a normal woman. Luna stood tall and her gaze fell on Kaltrik's motionless body.
She tilted her head and smirked as she observed him. "So, you are one of my master's main enemies. I quite expected more from you."
Luna then crouched beside Kaltrik. "It's almost sad to see you like this. You are really pathetic."
Luna put her hand across his face. "I had hoped to make you suffer—inflict the kind of pain you deserve. But, alas... ti isn't on my side."
She rose to her feet and took out her dagger from her waist. "Leaving you alive might've been entertaining. I could've co back later to truly make you regret your existence. But no, you're my master's enemy. That alone seals your fate."
Without hesitation, Luna stepped forward and used her dagger to stab Kaltrik's heart. It was clean and swift. It ensured his death was instant.
Luna looked at the dead Kaltrik. She pulled the blade easily from it. "Be thankful. I granted you a peaceful death—sothing you don't deserve, but I don't have the ti to waste."
She wiped the blade on a nearby cloth before slipping it back into its sheath. She then looked toward the exit and smirked.
"I hope she got the vial from them. That will make things... interesting."
With a final glance at Kaltrik's dead body, Luna began to transform into her beast form.
She then lded into the shadow and left Kaltrik's residence. He only left a faint scent of her presence here like a shadow.
