VALENCIA’S POV
It was refreshing.
I would’ve never thought I would be vibing with a bird three tis my size.
I was watching the big Argentavis drinking water from the lake on the hill while I was humming a song casually.
Though this bird wasn’t able to talk to despite being a weird mythic creature that appeared out of nowhere, it was able to understand just fine.
The bird was seriously acting like it was well-trained, and I didn’t know what to think of it anymore.
Once I was done drinking water, I was about to ask him to fly away when he suddenly looked at , the emotions in his eyes, comforting as he walked to .
Usually, I would’ve definitely felt slightly fearful of the creature, despite how docile it was, but my emotion-picking powers told that the animal didn’t want to harm at all, and I stood there with my heart beating strangely at a calming pace.
The bird walked to before it ducked its head a little and rubbed my face with its head, almost making stumble back and fall, but his feathers kept from falling.
It was acting like a caring elder brother, and I know I was fucking losing my mind for thinking sothing like this.
Like, could my body and mind be called normal after thinking of a gigantic bird as akin to our family mber?
It was doing sothing behind .
I could feel it.
I turned around and looked at what it was writing from its feathers.
"My lord," the bird wrote, and I looked at it, surprised.
Did it just call its lord? What the hell?
’Aurora, no more jokes. Tell what is going on here? Have you really not summoned this creature? Why is it calling us its lord?’ I asked the one person who I expected to know more about these things than , but luck wasn’t on my side as she just shrugged and I sighed.
I looked at the large bird who looked like it was waiting for so kind of appreciation.
I smiled awkwardly before nodding my head.
"There, there," I patted its head, and its eyes literally bead.
I was about to ask the bird what its na was when, to my surprise, Aurora turned into a cat, and I looked at the bird that was appearing even bigger in surprise.
However, I wasn’t the only one surprised.
The bird was so surprised that it stumbled back, making a loud sound as it fell down the cliff, making widen my eyes.
’Aurora! What the fuck?!’ I looked at her in surprise.
’Well, I was just checking whether it knew about us or not. Judging from its reaction, I don’t think so,’ Aurora said as if that was the best way she could think of.
Seeing the proud smile on her face, I wanted to go to a library and read so books on werewolves to see if there was a way to smack your own wolf because, from all the way she acts, I swear she deserves a beating.
I rushed to the edge of the cliff to see if the bird died or what, but seeing it taking a sweep of large flight as it ca right up, making stumble back I sighed in relief while the bird stopped back in front of .
’Aurora, let transform back,’ I said to my so-called fake-wolf.
However, to my surprise, rather than agreeing to it, she smiled right in my face.
The bird kept looking at for so ti before it moved its feet on the ground to write sothing, and I furrowed my brows because I wasn’t able to read it due to distance and my size.
I walked to the area, feeling a bit warily because one little smack from the bird would throw down the cliff.
"My lord, you are cute,"
The bird had written, and I huffed before looking at the bird with a glare.
Aurora was wheezing at my miseries inside , and I swear this fake-wolf just finds any plausible way and timing to annoy .
"I am not cute!" I shouted at the bird, but just like you guys must’ve noticed. What ca out of my mouth was an angry hiss that sounded like - "ow!"
I looked at my fake wolf angrily before looking at the bird that looked like it was minutes away from laughing at .
All these animals were laughing at .
Huff! I turned around angrily in my place, probably still looking cute as hell because of my small size before I walked to the other side, wanting to go back ho already.
That bird followed .
And no. It wasn’t flying.
It was walking behind like it was so character from a creepy horror movie, and I stopped to look at it.
’Aurora, let turn back. We can’t take this bird ho. We got to tell the bird that it needed to leave us now,’ I said, and this ti, Aurora didn’t say anything and let turn back into my human form, making sigh.
"Look, I don’t know what kind of relationship you have with or my ancestor or whatever, but with your humongous size, you can’t co with . You look like that extinct species and if anyone saw you, both you and I would get into trouble and ---what the hell?" I looked at the bird in utter surprise as it suddenly started to beco small.
I watched it going from thrice my size to the size of my head, my jaws dropping at the sight.
’It’s not leaving us,’ Aurora said the obvious, and I scoffed at her.
Who the fuck would want to let go of this cute mysterious bird either?
"What’s your na? Can you hear similarly even now?" I asked, wanting to know what other changes this change in size brought.
The bird flew to the side and grabbed a stick on its beak before writing sothing on the ground.
I crouched down to read what it was writing.
"The na you will give ," The bird said, and I lted then and there.
A mysterious magical bird was treating better than the n in my life, I swear.
"Since you t on the night I was feeling the most lonely, I will call you Happy. So your na from now on is Happy," I said.
’Only you will make a mythical creature Happy,’ Aurora mumbled under her breath, and I rolled my eyes before shrugging.
It was what it was.
