THIRD PERSON’S POV

Theo gulped. He had heard of the forest spirits for obvious reasons. They had stopped many people in the past and protected this pack.

This ti, he was inside the pack because those people caught him and brought him inside, or he didn’t know if he would have been able to infiltrate the pack without getting killed.

But this...

The alpha of the Caribbean’s Den Pack couldn’t believe his eyes. The forest spirits, who have been their protectors for more than a couple centuries and have protected their ancestors and ensured they live a healthy and trouble-free life, were actually standing against them today.

And why?

For this girl?

First, they didn’t warn the pack mbers about the infiltration from this girl, and now they were trying to protect her, too.

What was happening?

Valencia looked around herself as more stems appeared beside her, and her goosebumps rose, making her look at Theo.

She needed soone to tell her she wasn’t imagining things.

What was happening? Weren’t they trying to kill her earlier when she barely made it out alive? Why were they helping her now?

"Respected Forest spirits, what are you doing? How can you side with this girl when she hurts our people? You promised to stay by our side and protect us forever," The alpha of the pack said.

Valencia bit her lips. She didn’t know what to say or do at the mont.

She signaled to Theo to co close to her so they could leave. Whatever was happening was between the spirits and the alpha, and she didn’t want to co between them.

As much as she loved the drama, she didn’t want to ss with spirits.

However, Theo shook his head at her. He wasn’t sure if these spirits were protecting her or acting possessive of her.

What if they threw him away and broke his bones, too, if he neared her?

He didn’t want to take that kind of risk. He ant he was holding a sword, too. The spirits might think that he wants to hurt her, and because of that, they might try to hurt him.

He shook his head again, and Valencia gritted her teeth.

She herself didn’t know what was going on. She cleared her throat and started to step back, not moving her gaze away from the alpha, who looked at her with narrowed brows.

"Guys!" The alpha roared, becoming even angrier than before.

Valencia tightened her hold on the sword, ready to fight.

However, the n had only moved a few steps towards her when the stems, like branches, hit their abdon, sending them flying back more than 50m.

The alpha glared at the stems.

If the last ti was a mistake, this ti, it was clear the forest spirits wanted to save this child.

He was about to roar again when surprisingly, for the first ti in his life, he heard the voice of one of the spirits.

"Not her," the spirit said before a growling sound echoed from behind her.

It wasn’t an animalistic growl that belonged to any wolf. Instead, it was a growl that ca from the forests, and the alpha paused, putting his hand down.

This was the first ti the spirits finally made a noise. The last ti he heard the spirits say sothing was back in the tis of their ancestors.

All the signals always co to them through written ssages on the soil.

He shifted his gaze back to the girl who was as clueless as him and didn’t know what to say or do anymore.

Were the spirits telling him to let go of this girl who had openly challenged them a day before that she would take this guy away? The spirits wanted him to let go of this girl who was hurting his people and his pride.

He was about to ask them why they favored a cursed kid when his father, who was notified of what was happening, made his presence known.

He stepped ahead and looked at the branches that were almost flowing protectively around the girl. Then, he looked at his son, who briefed him about what was happening.

The man stepped ahead and extended his hand towards Valencia.

"The beholder," The man said when Valencia didn’t make a move towards him.

She didn’t trust anyone in this pack. Who knew when soone would attack her?

The forr alpha smiled at the girl. It was clear he knew sothing that the others didn’t.

"They said she would co here sooner or later. Your mom. She was supposed to co here before giving birth to you to take the wishes of the forest spirits so they would bless you and ease out so of the effects of the curse upon you," The man said before he sighed and got on his right knee.

The people of the Caribbean’s Den Pack looked at their forr alpha who was kneeling before the girl who was nothing less than a threat to them.

Everything was too much to understand.

Valencia looked at everyone helplessly because she didn’t know what was happening.

She hated the idea of being oblivious to things.

She looked at Aurora for help, but the fake wolf wasn’t saying much either.

’I am feeling wary now, Aurora. Why are they acting like this? Why are they calling cursed only? It’s scaring ,’ Valencia fell on her knees, knowing this was the only way Aurora would speak up because she didn’t like seeing Valencia sad and in pain.

The pack mbers thought the girl was kneeling to pay respect to their forr alpha, as she didn’t want him to bow down to her.

However, Aurora, who was quite protective of her human, finally stood out.

Aurora looked at the strings around her, trying to keep her powers in check before taking a deep breath.

"She is getting scared!" Aurora seethed, and Valencia widened her eyes in utter shock when she felt the powerful presence of her wolf for the first ti.

The forest spirits, who were flowing aimlessly, imdiately stopped and stood behind while Valencia touched her nose.

She looked at her fingers, her pupils dilating when she saw her blood.

What the hell?

Was that... Was that really her wolf? Valencia sat there shocked, everything becoming numb for her.

The pack mbers, who felt the wolf’s presence and were forced to step back along with the forest spirits, gulped, feeling a strange dominance in the air.

Theo clenched his fists just like the alpha of the pack, as they didn’t want to feel suppressed, but this power was no joke. Theo always knew this girl was powerful and vigilant because of how she had the qualities of a leader, but this... This was beyond his imagination.

He never felt so amazed and proud of himself to have chosen to work for this fearless and strong girl.
