However, the thing that I was dreading didn’t happen. I didn’t even know if I was really dreading it or what. The thought of it made anxious, and I raised my voice at him.
Averting my gaze to the man, I sighed apologetically.

Under normal circumstances, I would’ve given him a fighting reply about how I didn’t like hiding, but the note’s content left frozen in my place.
