Chapter 810: Chapter 793: Psychology

"Whew~ puff!"

Taking a deep breath, Ciri poked her head out of the haystack, now with nurous ssy stalks stuck in her ash-gray hair.

"Ah, wonderful, truly splendid," Lambert stood nearby with arms crossed and a blank face, yet his words dripped with sarcastic irony.

"You ca along and broke this little girl’s month-long record of not falling."

Lann settled behind Lambert, while Rong Buqiu watched the Demon Hunter training apparatus with a gleam of excitent and curiosity.

Lann was now able to mostly ignore Lambert’s thorny comnts.

So he raised an eyebrow and directly asked.

"A month without falling? What’s her current training progress?"

Lambert tilted his head, glancing at him.

"She’s currently learning the ’Three Little Steps,’ you know? Feint attack, charge, turn, slash the throat."

This is a basic routine in Demon Hunter swordsmanship that basically every Demon Hunter able to take on tasks must engrain into their body instinct.

Thus, over ti, the Demon Hunters seen out there hardly discuss this routine.

Because it’s already beco a fundantal move in their sword skill execution.

Only during the apprentice teaching phase does it get specifically nad.

It took Lann a while to react before ntos reminded him.

And because Demon Hunters will battle in various environnts and terrains, facing monsters, Ciri’s ’Three Little Steps’ has to be practiced on a seesaw-like plank where balancing is tough.

It’s ant to simulate real situations.

"She was originally training pretty well; I was planning to remove the haystack below in a week. But now... hmm."

Lambert cast a displeased sidelong glance at Lann,

However, due to their height difference, his upward gaze seed lackluster.

"Training isn’t a problem." Lann was also watching beside, as Ciri regained footing on the wobbly long plank. "She didn’t drink potion or eat mushrooms today, right?"

"Nope," Lambert replied straightforwardly when it ca to this subject.

After all, the situation Lann ntioned yesterday was indeed overlooked by them in the past, making them a bit fearful.

To strip a young girl of her future female traits at such a young age... If it truly happened, the Wolf School Demon Hunters would regret to the point of collapse.

Because they’ve already regarded Ciri as a child of all of them.

"Ever since you ntioned, she yelled for mushroom salad and herbal juice this morning, but we didn’t give her any."

"Yell for it?" Lann felt a bit surprised, "I recall those things don’t exactly taste great."

In fact, Lann hadn’t tasted the Demon Hunter’s unique cave fungi or vitality-boosting herbal juice before mutation.

These are the perks of proper training given to Demon Hunter apprentices; a Child of Destiny like Lann, forcibly mutated by his master, doesn’t have the ti for it.

The coldness and disregard of Bear School often translate to impatience.

But he had handled these herbs and let ntos analyze the properties, hence knowing these taste quite poor.

Girls typically Ciri’s age wouldn’t yell for such unappetizing things.

On this note, Lambert’s lips curled up in what seed like pride.

"Those indeed taste like gnawing on bark, but Ciri isn’t an ordinary little girl."

"She has a fire in her heart, fervent and persistent. If it makes her stronger, she’ll munch on bark without hesitation."

"Wow, that’s amazing ow!"

Rong Buqiu was also watching Ciri with shining eyes, possibly inspired by Ciri’s spirit, filling it with motivation.

Lann pragmatically stroked his chin.

"It’s likely the insecurity following a massive upheaval drives her with urgency to strengthen herself?"

Lambert glanced at the nearby Lann, surprised.

"You studied psychology?"

"Study?" Lann shook his head lightly, "I haven’t systematically undertaken psychology courses, why ask?"

"Last ti in Ossenford I took a task, afterward an old professor cornered , babbling about doing psychological analysis on Demon Hunters. Your tone just then resembled him a lot."

Lambert grinned, suggesting the psychological analysis left a bad impression on him.

"That guy said my tendency to anger people at first words stemd from childhood psychological trauma, forming so... ’resistant self-defense chanism’... What damn nonsense."

"His final look at

was like seeing a sorry creature! Really bizarre!"

Lann nodded slightly without comnting.

Yet seeing Lambert’s disgruntled expression, he knew: lies and gibberish don’t harm... truth cuts deep.

Few with intentions of becoming Demon Hunters have untroubled minds.

"I’ll handle it," Lann stepped ahead of Lambert, moving toward Ciri.

The foul-mouthed Wolf School nodded, "It’s yours then, that... "

Toward the end, he mumbled with a rare worried look.

"It’s not too late, right? Her body..."

Lann turned to look at him, chuckled lightly after a pause.

"You’ve only had her a few months, even if you’ve broken her, I can fix her, don’t worry."

Lambert let out a long breath.

"Whew... that’s a relief. Or Geralt and Uncle Vesemir would regret like crazy!"

"You wouldn’t regret it?" Lann tilted his head, smiling.

"Regret? For her?" Lambert sneered and turned, leaving, "Who the hell is she? I wouldn’t regret, it’s none of my damn business."

After Lambert’s departure, Rong Buqiu scratched its triangular ear, watching his back.

"Saying the opposite ow?"

Following that, Rong Buqiu inquisitively lifted its head, glancing at Lann.

Lann smiled without speaking, rubbing the calico cat’s head.

"Alright, Ciri! Co down first."

Lann called toward the young girl who had climbed up the wobbling long plank again.

"I’ll be adjusting your training plan for a while."

"Ah? Really!"

The young girl exclaid in delight, causing her steps to falter again, and then ’thud’ into the haystack once more.

This ti, she scrambled out like a little monkey, and without properly standing ran towards Lann.

In Ciri’s mind, Lann was probably the best warrior in the world.

Though she loved Geralt, Uncle Vesemir, Lambert, the affection aside, in terms of prowess...

Lann’s analysis was spot on; the wounds from the war transcend material, affecting countless spiritually.

Ciri had been so impacted by the war that she was left insecure, leading to a sowhat aggressive approach to training.
