Chapter 677: 680. The 5th generation mbers of Sunshine

When Lann ca out from the Commander-in-Chief’s office in the circulation area with a small shield emblem at his waist and returned by cable car to the dining area where the feast was being held, the banquet was already nearing its end.

Most of the Hunters were carefree and uninhibited optimists, but at the sa ti, they were professional personnel engaged in dangerous work.

So, except for special holidays or commorative events, they would consciously avoid getting drunk.

So by this stage of the banquet, only a few people remained at the tables.

The head chef Elu and assistant Elu cats were already bouncing around, starting to clean up the ssy tables.

It was just plates and utensils, as for the food, the Hunters seed to have eaten everything, leaving nothing behind.

Watching them yawning with their pink tongues out and their big eyes squinting, they must have had a tiring day too.

Lann patted his stomach... to be honest, he hadn’t eaten much today.

While Aibo and Wende were eating and drinking without a care at the table, he was only able to drink a few sips of beer due to his confrontation with the Commander-in-Chief.

Although chewing on so dry rations later wasn’t impossible, not having anything at such a lavish feast and instead eating dry rations... felt like a loss!

"Hey, kid over there. You look like you didn’t get enough to eat?"

Lann turned his head and found that it was the head chef in the dining area who was speaking to him, a big cat double the size of a normal Elu cat!

The head chef crossed his arms, showcasing the full and muscular contours of his shoulders and upper arms.

With a size like that, could it be from working out?

Lann thought incoherently to himself.

"Don’t just stand there, if you’re hungry, sit down. There’s no problem rationing out one al from tomorrow’s supplies, I won’t allow anyone to leave my territory hungry!"

The head chef snorted coldly, revealing sharp cat teeth, and the scar over his blind eye twitched.

For so inexplicable reason, Lann felt that this big Elu cat was super cool!

So, the Demon Hunter obediently sat at the stone table bar.

Seeing the head chef seemingly about to personally cook up a small dish, the assistant Elu cats imdiately perked up, cheerfully coming over to assist.

Perhaps due to their passion, these assistant Elu cats, although already very tired, remained lively and excited when helping the head chef.

For efficiency, the head chef decided to grill a fish over a ter long on a stone slab.

The assistants skillfully scored the fish, sprinkling it with salt and other seasoning powders.

Then they covered it with a large iron lid, turning the grilling on the slab into a roasting.

A few minutes later, the lid was lifted, and the head chef, seizing the opportunity, splashed a ladle of strong liquor over it, instantly igniting an alcohol fla.

The aroma of the liquor blended with the fish at, and the fish skin curled up, burnt to a crisp.

Finally, when plating, under the expectant gazes of the assistant Elu cats, the head chef pinched a small sprig of rosemary between two claws.

Like completing the crucial step in assembling precision instrunts, the head chef solemnly and steadily placed the rosemary in the center of the fish.

Instantly, all the assistant Elu cats cheered in Lann’s dizzy vision, as if with this step, the head chef had infused the dish with a soul!

Though unsure why... it seed truly impressive!

Lann was swept along and subconsciously started applauding.

"Creamy mushroom soup with a baguette, main course is wine-flad grilled sea fish!"

Surrounded by the assistant cats, the head chef crossed his arms and looked up to the sky, acting as if he was all-powerful.

Lann generally disliked such a deanor, but if it was a cat... it was okay!

"Hey, Lann!"

The Demon Hunter had just grabbed a knife and fork to start eating, but then his back was slapped unceremoniously.

The person who greeted him naturally snagged the tail of his sea fish from his main course!

"How did it go with the Commander-in-Chief? Mmm."

Aibo said, shoving the fish tail into her mouth, leaving just the fin sticking out.

Wende had co along with another Hunter Lann hadn’t t.

The unfamiliar Hunter had a sunny and cheerful deanor at a glance, with a short Mohican hairstyle, clean and neat, with slightly reddish hair.

The two Hunters took large mugs and sat at the bar.

"Hello, I’m Aiden."

He seed very sociable... fitting right into Lann’s stereotype of people in this world.

"Are you really from another world? Hearing about you almost taking off the leg of the Barbaric Jaws Dragon at first sight is spreading everywhere! Gulp, you’re amazing!"

"Uh, hello, I’m Lann."

Lann replied as he hurried to eat. Aibo had already finished the fish tail, but her gaze at Lann’s main course still made the Demon Hunter feel pressured.

"But as for

being from another world... it spread that quickly?"

The implication from Lann was, don’t you guys keep secrets?

But Aiden’s response was, "After all, everyone’s curious, though so have seen creatures from other worlds before, you’re the first human."

The Demon Hunter licked his lips.

Alright then... dealing with these people, it’s better to be straightforward in the future.

"I’ll be temporarily part of the Fifth Period Team while I stay, taking on missions assigned by the Commander-in-Chief."

So Lann straightforwardly showed his small shield emblem, which imdiately elicited cheers from the three.

It felt good to be trusted as soon as you joined the team... but wasn’t their acceptance a bit too quick!

Unsure why, upon arriving in this world and interacting with the people here, Lann found himself ntally critiquing a lot more.

ntos quite enjoyed the current state, particularly seeing the main spirit’s mood improving.

Now and then, Lann could even hear ntos humming lightly.

"Ah, I really envy you guys, one’s a recomndation group, and the other has a chance to show trustworthy combat skills upon arriving in the New Continent. We can’t do that... have to start with basic training and adaptation."

Next to Lann, Aiden leaned on his shoulder, holding a big mug like a down-and-out middle-aged drunkard as he bemoaned.

"We were all elite mbers of various Hunter guilds in the Old Continent! But getting here, we have to train, adapt like apprentices... oh well, what can you do, since this is the New Continent."

Aiden lanted, but without any resentnt or complaint, rather with a sunny upward energy like his deanor.

Had a sort of ’Isn’t it just retraining? Let

prove it to you!’ vibe.

"New Continent and Old Continent..." Lann asked, just in ti, swallowing the last bite of fish before Aibo could reach out.

"Is there such a big difference?"

He really didn’t know more about this world.
