CH1. Hogwarts Express
On the Hogwarts Express, the special compartnt was occupied by an Arican teenager.
He had a relatively tall stature for his age, and his bulging muscles filled out the oversized wizard robe, giving him an imposing presence despite his young age.
At this mont, he held a crumpled letter in his hand, his face filled with both obscenity and anticipation, as he gazed out the window. His mood, just like his facial expression, was remarkably captivating.
In his hand was an invitation letter.
Having just learned about the Sorting Ceremony, the new students imdiately started discussing among themselves.
There was no doubt that this hat was the Sorting Hat Professor McGonagall had ntioned, the one that would determine which house was the most suitable for each student.
"Do you guys know which house you'll be sorted into? I've been asking around, and I hope to be sorted into Gryffindor. They say it's the best house, and I heard Dumbledore himself graduated from there. But Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad either..." Hermione rattled off.
"No matter which house I end up in, I don't want to be in the sa one as her。" Ron turned to Harry and Chris, saying.
As a young boy, he didn't appreciate the beauty of girls and instead found Hermione, who was sowhat arrogant and strong-willed, rather off-putting.
He continued, "But I do want to go to Gryffindor because both of my brothers are there. My parents also attended that house! I don't know what they would say if I didn't go there. Going to Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad either, but please, don't sort into Slytherin!"
True to his expectations, Professor McGonagall stepped forward with a piece of parchnt listing the students' nas.
"Whoever I call out, please co forward, put on the hat, sit on the chair, and listen as the Sorting Hat selects your house."
"The first one is Hannah Abbott."
A slightly shy girl with a round face stepped forward, her face blushing like a ripe apple, with two braids hanging down her shoulders.
She trembled as she put on the Sorting Hat and sat down, waiting for her assignnt. Soon enough, the ugly face on the hat spoke, "Hufflepuff!"
The students at the Hufflepuff table applauded and welcod her. Hannah Abbott excitedly ran to the table, integrating herself into the collective of older students.
Following that, just like in the original story, the new students were assigned to their respective houses one by one.
Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione, the trio, were sorted into Gryffindor as expected.
With everyone sorted except Chris, all eyes from the four houses were now on him, curious about which house this noble foreign student would be assigned to.
Even Gryffindor, despite its strong opposition to blood purity ideology, held anticipation for the powerful and mysterious Arica wizard.
…
CH4. Study Partners
"Silence, please."
Dumbledore stood up and used his loud voice to put an end to the students' discussions.
"First of all, I believe I don't need to introduce this exchange student from Arica to all of you. According to rumors, you know more about him than I do," Dumbledore shrugged, making a small joke.
"But I'm sure you're wondering which house he will be sorted into. I have to say that none of you have guessed correctly because he will not join any of the houses."
Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, the astonished students began whispering and discussing again, prompting him to emphasize the need for quiet once more.
"We are honored to have Chris Rogers, a student with noble Great Arica heritage, join our school. As an exchange student who has never lived abroad, in order to ensure he has a pleasant study experience at Hogwarts and feels the warmth of ho, we have decided not to place him in any of the four main houses for now. Instead, he will have the freedom to allocate his study ti. When he has gained a deeper understanding of Hogwarts and expresses a desire to join a specific house, we will then proceed with the Sorting Ceremony."
"anwhile, Hogwarts will select students of similar age to serve as study partners to the Arica exchange students, helping them familiarize and adapt to life at Hogwarts. Based on their performance in the companion activities and Chris Rogers' evaluation, they will earn respective house points. To ensure fairness, each of the four houses will select one student to be a study partner."
Where there is competition, sparks are bound to fly, especially between the blood purity-focused Slytherin and the passionate and impulsive Gryffindor!
The students from both sides exchanged glances, eager to participate.
Professor Millerova McGonagall, the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts and the Head of Gryffindor house, took a step forward and gently asked Hermione, "Miss Granger, would you be willing to represent Gryffindor and be Roger's study partner?"
Even though she had just joined Gryffindor and was still getting used to being part of the larger group, Hermione could already feel the sense of community and belonging.
When she heard Professor McGonagall's words, she enthusiastically nodded her head and waved her hands, showing that she was willing and able to fulfill the role.
She waved her fist in a show of defiance towards Hermione on the Gryffindor side, while the students of Slytherin cheered and applauded, with Draco Malfoy being particularly enthusiastic.
He was a pure-blood wizard from the noble Malfoy family and had received a traditional education, valuing bloodlines and powerful magic, looking down upon half-blood wizards and Muggles.
After the selections from Gryffindor and Slytherin were announced, Professor Philius Flitwick, the Head of Ravenclaw, stood up. "Cho, I believe you will be able to help him better."
Cho Chang nodded and stood up with a smile, bowing to the applause of her fellow students.
