Chapter 55: Constant Questioning
The Green-sun Tribe was brightly lit at night. Though not as prosperous as during the day, there were still quite a few pedestrians on the street.
Keystone Business was located in the central area of the Green-sun Tribe, covering an area of more than 0.67 hectare. Quite eye-catching, it was built with bluestone and was absolutely magnificent. It stood three stories high, towering over a nearby group of buildings.
Upon arriving, Lin Xun found that Keystone Business was far from closing, but rather bustling and busy with many animal wagons parked nearby, and practitioners coming in and out.
Lin Xun tied the scaly horse to one side, carried the huge hide bag and went straight into Keystone Business.
Keystone Business was luxuriously decorated, extraordinarily large, and very orderly. It was equipped with long rows of ivory counters, displaying cultivation necessities like spiritual herbs, spiritual materials, weapons, tools, etc. in the two different zones on both sides.
Many of the waiters, courteous and dignified, were serving the guests.
There were also so guards about, with sharp eyes and deep breath, who in fact had reached fourth or sixth level of Martial Realm. More importantly, there was an old man sitting behind the lobby counter, who emanated an air of hidden Gang spirit and was undoubtedly a cultivator at the Gang Spirit Realm.
All this proved that Keystone Business was powerful with a sound foundation.
Lin Xun watched all this silently, but felt overwheld by great surprise. He did not know that Keystone Business was a top-ranking chamber of comrce even in the Ziyao Empire, nor did he know that the boss behind Keystone Business was a legendary figure with the title of “Fortune God”.
But it could be seen from the details that this Keystone Business was incomparable to the ordinary chamber of comrce.
A waiter approached, asked a few questions, and ushered Lin Xun to the exchange area, which was relatively quiet with only a dozen of people.
“May I ask what you want to sell?”
Smiling, a middle-aged man in brocade robes asked, and did not underestimate or pay lip service to Lin Xun because of his age. Nor was the man too enthusiastic, showing only a lukewarm and courteous attitude.
“I’d like to see your shopkeeper.”
Lin Xun said with a smile on.
The middle-aged man in brocade robes frowned and said, “Sorry, the shopkeeper has sothing important to do. I’m afraid he may not be able to et you right now.”
A re nobody, at the age of thirteen or fourteen, dressed in coarse linen, asked to see the shopkeeper directly. He must be thinking too highly of himself. The shopkeeper of Keystone Business was by no ans an ordinary man that anyone could et just at will.
“Oh, it doesn’t matter. I can wait.”
Lin Xun said casually, as if not noticing the change of attitude of the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man frowned harder, his manner also becoming sowhat indifferent, and replied, “Childe, mind if I ask what is the rare treasure you hold that it has to be handled by the shopkeeper personally?”
Lin Xun smiled and said, “Do you think I am not qualified to et your shopkeeper?”
The middle-aged man in brocade robes said in an indifferent way, “That I would not dare, but I think the articles you plan to sell are not so precious as to bother our shopkeeper.”
“If I’m not mistaken,” he said, pointing proudly at Lin Xun’s huge hide bag, “There should be thirty-one pieces of fur, so bones, claws and dozens of spiritual materials, right?”
Lin Xun looked surprised and said, “You have sharp eyes!”
The middle-aged man said indifferently, “Sir, in our business, insight and observation are above average. Maybe in your opinion these items are quite valuable, but for Keystone Business, all these can only be exchanged for 4,000 copper coins, which is barely sufficient to buy an ordinary spiritual weapon.”
After a long pause, he continued, “So Childe, have you changed your mind now?”
Lin Xun shook his head, “I think it’s best for you to inform your shopkeeper. It’s not that I don’t believe you, but that I have sothing else to discuss with your shopkeeper.”
The middle-aged man got very annoyed. He had exhausted his patience explaining so much, but this young boy just didn’t buy it.
“Sir, pardon for not showing you the way out!” He was actually driving Lin Xun away. Lin Xun was in a bit of a daze, and helplessly said: “Uncle, I do not know why you should be angry. But it would be too ungenerous of you to order out.”
The middle-aged man laughed out of extre anger, and retorted with a stern voice, “How dare you, a little boy, accuse of being ungenerous?”
Lin Xun laughed and said, “I just think you should at least notify your shopkeeper first. If I’m really making trouble here, you can drive out, can’t you?”
The middle-aged man lost all his patience. Paying no attention to Lin Xun’s explanation, he called, “Co on, show this Childe the way to leave!”
Upon his words, two practitioners who were guarding around imdiately ca over.
At this point, Lin Xun could not help but feel disappointed. He had been sincere enough. However, they didn’t even bother to pay attention to his requests.
Lin Xun sighed, “Uncle, I think you will regret it later.”
The middle-aged man’s face darkened and he went berserk, “Get rid of this arrogant boy, now!”
Exchanging a look, the two practitioners stretched out their arms and ca right at Lin Xun from either side.

However, although they moved fast, Lin Xun was even faster. He stepped forward in one stride, bent his arms, buckled the neck of the middle-aged man with his fingers, and then shouted, “Don’t you move again! Or I will break his neck, imdiately!”
The two practitioners hesitated.
Being subdued by one move, the middle-aged man was not scared but roared angrily, “Soone is picking a fight with Keystone Business!”
His words stirred a commotion and soon many of the guards rushed in and surrounded Lin Xun. However, no one dared to step forward for fear of injuring the middle-aged man.
“Young man, I advise you to stop right now and not make fool of yourself!”
An old man walked out of the crowd. It was no other than the practitioner in Gang Spirit Realm who sat in the lobby.
Lin Xun looked so relaxed that he even laughed and said, “What if I said this is only a misunderstanding. Would you believe ?”
The old man was obviously dazed, “Oh, what misunderstanding? I’d like to hear it.”
The middle-aged man shouted in a defensive manner, “This little jerk brought so junk goods to sell, and requests to et the shopkeeper personally. He is obviously picking a quarrel with us?”
The old man scanned the huge hide bag next to Lin Xun and said coldly, “Young man, is this the misunderstanding you ntioned?”
Lin Xun earnestly said, “To see your shopkeeper is to pick a fight?”
The old man was in a daze and replied sternly, “No matter what, you must let go of him first.”
Lin Xun shook his head, “I can’t do that unless your shopkeeper cos.”
The old man’s eyes flashed with the look of a killer. Then he said, “It seems you really want it the hard way?”
Lin Xun said, “Sorry, sir. I’m not the cowardly type.” Saying that, he clenched his fingers, tightened his grip around the middle-aged man, whose face turned red out of suffocation. This was a blatant threat! “Leave alone, kill the bastard first!” The middle-aged man desperately cried.
At that mont, a dignified voice sounded, “Stop shouting, where are your manners?”
It was the shopkeeper!
Suddenly, all those present looked respectful, and even the old man kept silent.
“It seems that it’s really impossible to et the shopkeeper without making such a noise.” Lin Xun murmured, and looked towards the direction of the sound.
A middle-aged man in a navy-blue robe walked over. He had three wisps of whiskers under his jaw, his face was elegant and scholarly, and every move and act exhibited a majestic air.
This was Yan Zhen, the shopkeeper of Keystone Business.
“Young man, let go of him first.” Yan Zhen said peacefully as he walked up. “Then I can offer you a chance to explain.”
“Fine.”
Lin Xun didn’t push his luck and let go of the middle-aged imdiately. He was not at all worried about being killed on the spot, which indeed surprised Yan Zhen, who waved away everyone and said, “I hope your explanation won’t let down.”
Lin Xun smiled and without any explanation, he took out a token and threw it over, “Have a look at this first.”
Yan Zhen frowned, but when he looked at the token, his face changed imperceptibly. He blurted out, “Where did you get this token?”
Seeing this, everyone nearby was in a daze. Was there any history of this token?
Lin Xun replied briefly, “Soone gave it to .”
Yan Zhen mused for quite a while, then took a deep breath, with a trace of sharpness and sternness flashing in his eyes. He asked, “Soone gave it to you? You think I will buy it? This token is not sothing a young man like you can own. Tell the truth, or don’t bla for being rude!”
Yan Zhen was sure that the token was real, because the special sign on it could never be forged. But in his opinion, it was impossible that the token would be given to a teenager.
Obviously, Yan Zhen had already regarded Lin Xun as a thief who swindled around the Keystone Business with this token.
Lin Xun couldn’t help getting annoyed. The middle-aged man said he was not qualified to et the shopkeeper and was deliberately picking a fight. Now he finally t the shopkeeper, who obviously suspected he was a liar. Lin Xun couldn’t stay calm any longer.
Wearing a smile on his face, he sighed, “It seems that Shi Shuan was lying. There is no use holding onto this token at all.”
Shi Shuan!
The na of their Big Childe.
Hearing that, Yan Zhen’s expression altered again. He hesitated and asked, “Young man, did the Big Childe send you here?”
The others were shocked that the little boy dressed in shabby clothes was actually acquainted with Childe Shi Shuan?
It was impossible!
This guy must be bluffing.
What a great man Big Childe was? How could he associate with such a poor young man?
