[3 days later] [Training ground]
It's been three days since Pala started mastering her power. She was slowly getting better. She could control it to so extent but was still having trouble controlling it on a larger scale. She couldn't use her power for hours without feeling tired and drained. In so instances, her alternate ego took over and tried to seduce Bruce in front of Selina and Diana.
Well, Selina at first didn't feel anything since she knew it was a side effect of her power, but on the third day, she couldn't control her jealousy. Diana noticed her expression, "You like him?" She whispered in Selina's ear.
"What?!" Selina looked at her as if she had two heads. Diana gave her a look and tilted her head toward Bruce. She blushed hard when she realized who Diana was talking about. "Yup!" Selina replied. "Look, it's just..." She sighed. She felt a weird feeling clenching her heart, "Bruce and I, we... We love each other. But..."
"But what?" Diana asked her with a smile. She liked seeing the two together and could tell they loved each other. But their chemistry and emotions always made her wonder what was stopping them from being together.
Selina sighed.
"I just don't want to get in his way. It's not that I can't go there and tell them directly because trust , I am so fucking jealous and angry that I want to punch that green face of hers. But, it's not my place... I... I have a promise to fulfill, a debt to pay... To live for him, to die for him. It's an oath that I took the day he saved from the streets and reunited with my sister. Thanks to him I learned what a family is. Maggie is living a life I always wanted for her..."
She leaned on the railing with a bitter smile, and continued, "That's what Bruce did to ... He opened a new chapter in my life, gave a chance to start fresh and find my roots. Before, my world only consisted of stealing and fighting for survival. I didn't believe that there could be sothing else, that soone could take out of the shadows. But he showed another world. And... And I'd do anything for him. My body, soul, and my very existence belong to him... That's why I will accept anything he wants as long as he doesn't forget about ..."
She paused for a mont, trying to arrange her emotions, "But, the thought of her being near him... It's killing ! I just... I don't know how to explain this to him. What do you think? Is it weird?"
"Well, I'm not an expert in the romance departnt, but from what I've gathered, I'd say Pala is pretty attracted to Bruce, but look at him. He is trying to keep his distance as much as he can, even though I could see how she's affecting him. Bruce isn't the type of guy who would willingly cheat, especially on soone he cares about..."
Selina nodded, "You're right! He has a lot of self-control. But I don't want him to hold back just because of ."
"Then why don't you two sit down and have a chat? Tell him what you feel and I am pretty sure he will tell you what he feels. Considering he is from another universe, he must have soone he loves or a few girlfriends... You know how cool he is, all heroic and stuff. And to be honest, I..." Diana stopped in the middle of her sentence.
"You... What?" Selina asked with a hint of amusent in her voice. Diana couldn't help but look confused.
"I... I just..." She paused and sighed, "Nothing... Forget it. Don't mind . Two of you should have that chat."
The mories that she made in these few days flashed before her eyes. The way Bruce always trained, his arrogant jokes, the ti she sparred with him, and how he was always patient and understanding. She was infatuated with him, which was kind of strange considering the short ti they had known each other. He is a good man. And the most important thing is that he never lied.
"Are you?" Selina asked, breaking Diana's thoughts, and smirked as her eyes traveled across his face. "Don't tell you are feeling the sa thing for Bruce. I won't judge you if you want to hook up with him. I an, barely three days have passed, and the way you looked at him in the gym said a lot about your feelings for him. I don't bla you, honestly; Bruce is hot as hell and charming to boot."
Diana blushed, "What?! It's nothing like that. I don't—"
"—Like him that way, blah, blah, blah!" Selina laughed and lightly shoved her shoulder. "Just as I said. He is sothing else... He has this unique charm and magnetism. I guess the saying 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder' has sothing to do with wanting to kiss him when he cos back. Not sure what I would do if I saw him kissing Ivy... But, you should have your own chat with him... Bruce likes to hide his feelings. Maybe, I need to play Cupid and set up a date for the both of you..."
"Ugh... I can't even tell if you are serious or joking. Anyway, I guess it's your way of dealing with your emotions. So, I will not stop you, but I still think it is better for both of us if we talk to him."
They stood in silence after the conversation ended. Selina couldn't help but smile. The thought of Bruce having multiple girls on the side excited and scared her at the sa ti. It's like one of those hentai vn gas she used to read and play when she was a teenager. She could imagine it. There was a nagging voice at the back of her mind telling her that she shouldn't judge Bruce by those standards, but another voice in her head asked her... 'How nice it would be to have a threeso or fourso with Ivy, Diana, Bruce, and her...'
She imagined her naked on top of him while Bruce sucked on her breast, then he would turn his focus on Ivy or Diana while his hand slid under her... She imagined it in the dirtiest of ways, making her shudder in arousal.
"Wherever the fuck my brain goes, it's ti to stop it," Selina muttered to herself before turning around and walking away, her legs a bit shaky. Her mind drifted again, and she couldn't help but think.
"You leaving?" Diana asked from behind.
"Yup, I will check the surveillance on that guy from the racing course. He has been acting weird for quite so ti, and we might have a clue as to why he keeps disappearing for hours. Take care, and see ya."
Diana nodded, "Got you."
She then looked at Bruce sparring with Ivy. 'Am I really into him? Should I talk to him? I don't even know what to expect if our feelings are the sa. Just... Gosh, stop overthinking! The outside world is too harsh. Too many emotions and thoughts... Can I bla anyone but myself for getting caught up in this love triangle?'
She wanted to go sowhere else and clear her thoughts, but she decided to stay a little longer. She was watching the two sparring, and the way he moved made her stomach flip and her body blush. The drops of sweat rolling down his perfect body and how his muscles stretched and strained as he dodged, blocked, and countered... The look on his face as he calculated his movents, a slight frown on his forehead, and lips curved in concentration...
'A man with self-control, huh? He isn't falling for her seduction... That's impressive. I doubt there is anyone who could hold back hours from Ivy's Pheromones. Especially a single, healthy, and fit man. Wonder what's on his mind right now?' She thought with her eyes fixed on those two below.
anwhile, Bruce's head was screaming. He wasn't doing anything wrong, yet he was feeling like he was cheating on Selina with Pala. He decided to have a serious talk with her and tell her about what he felt and wanted. He isn't a man who wants to settle down with a single woman. He wants to have relationships with multiple won, like his past life. But for the ti being, Selina is his girl, and he will not hurt her by having fun with Ivy. He decided to be honest with her instead of trying to delay this matter any further.
"You want to keep going?" Bruce asked Pala as he noticed her huffing in exhaustion. The training ground was filled with plants, thorns, and blooming flowers.
"How the hell did you do it?" She asked as she wiped the sweat off her forehead with her left arm. "Facing without your suit or any gadgets... With just that katana and your physical prowess..." She looked impressed.
"Years of nonstop training and Elana beating my ass and almost killing !" He laughed. "It's nothing personal, though." He told her before cracking his neck. "Besides, you're getting stronger, I doubt I will be able to hold my own against you in a couple of years without my gadgets."
"Years, huh?" She smiled shaking her head, "So confident in yourself..."
"Yup!" He pointed the katana toward her, "Without confidence, one cannot achieve anything. It's like the saying 'Believe in yourself and your power and aim for your dreams'. Nothing in the world can stop you unless you stop yourself..."
She summoned a giant venus fly trap behind her and grinned, "Big words..."
Slice!
All it took for Bruce was a fraction of a second to slice the venus fly trap in half before it could do anything. His body reacted before his mind registered the threat, just like how he trained.
"I am glad to see you are up for another round," He smiled at her and assud his stance, "After all, no matter who your enemy is, they will always aim to strike at your weakest mont. That is what this is. A test. Keep fighting and do not underestimate your enemy. Shall you begin the finale..."
"Fuck!" Pala transford into Ivy, "Let's dance, sweetheart."
