"Damn it, which way do I go? I have no idea how to get back to our starting point, and I doubt wandering around aimlessly is going to be particularly effective. So, then maybe I should try and find mbers of the other teams and take them out?" Akila muttered to himself, as he wandered around the playing field cautiously.

It had been over twenty minutes since he escaped Colt and Lexia, and he was still completely and utterly lost.

He’d been roaming around at random, hoping to co across soone else or find his way back to his team’s starting point, but he hadn’t encountered anyone so far.

"I’ll only wear myself out if I keep walking around aimlessly. Maybe I’ll be better off laying low sowhere? That could give the opportunity to get the drop on soone too, so-...," He mused thoughtfully, before trailing off and stiffening as he felt the flow of his Mana co to a halt, right before a spear ca shooting out towards him with imnse speed, seemingly out of thin air.

He drew out his blades and crossed them in front of himself as fast as he could, bracing himself before a deafening clang rang out as the spear slamd against his blades with a jarring impact.

He then let out a startled yelp as a whip ca zipping towards him and struck his left leg, wrapping around his calf before a powerful yank of the whip pulled him off-balance, his back hitting the ground with a thud.

He tensed as the sound of footsteps echoed out, quickly sitting up and unwinding the whip off his leg, before leaping out of the way as a figure leapt towards him, with a pair of dual axes raised high.

Akila leapt out of the way as the axes ca swinging down towards him, slamming against the ground as he just barely got out of the way in ti, right as another figure shot towards him, closing in and driving a sword towards his chest.

He began to raise his blades up defensively, but he was too slow to react, the blade zipping past his defense and honing in on the left side of his chest, before the barrier teleported him out.

"Nice, that worked out well. His Magic made him one of the biggest threats to us, since he can even phase through your Telekinetic Zone," Remarked Tacitus, stretching his arms up with a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, since Raven can’t venture away from his team’s flag, Akila may well have been the biggest threat to our flag. On another note, that was well-done, you guys, good teamwork," Smiled Aster with a nod of approval.

"I don’t know about that, Captain, it took almost all of us to take down a single guy," Sighed Zina, as she jogged over to pick up her spear.

"I have to disagree, we used our numbers to overwhelm and take him out before he could recover. That doesn’t an that we couldn’t have taken him with less numbers, only that we took him down faster than we otherwise might have," Reasoned Nile objectively, putting his axes away.

fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ

"Mhm, yeah, exactly. All of us only needed to make a single move each. First, Tacitus’s Nullification, then your spear throw, Zina, followed by tripping him up with my whip, then Nile’s attack with his axes and finally, Cleaza’s finishing strike with her sword. It was an ideal sequence of attacks, and the timings of each subsequent attack was near-perfect," Pointed out Ravella.

"Not gonna lie, I kinda feel bad for him," Smiled Cleaza sheepishly.

"No, I’d say it’s his own fault for letting his guard down. In a real battle, that would’ve been a fatal mistake, so this should hopefully be a good learning experience for him. On another note, his bracelet only had three crystals left on it, which ans, now that we took him out of the running, the Commander Squad only has two mbers left in the contest," Remarked Aster with a gleam in his eyes.

anwhile...

"Another one’s down. Well, this isn’t good...we’re the only two left, Commander, what should we do?" Inquired Hart, as Jules fud in frustration.

"There’s not much we can do at this point. I can only think of two options, either we both stick together by the flag, or you head out and hide sowhere. One more elimination, regardless of whether it’s you or , and our team loses," Frowned Jules, pinching the bridge of her nose as she tried to compose herself.

"Yeah, true. I think we should go with the forr...since we’ll lose if either of us are eliminated, I’d say we’re better off sticking together," Pointed out Hart.

"Hm...yes, you have a point. Alright, then, we’ll-...," Began Jules, before spinning across as she swiftly drew out her sword and whipped it across, deflecting a rapid bone projectile aid at Hart.

"Guess I should’ve expected that, Commander. Your reaction ti is impressive," Lexia’s voice echoed out, as Hart drew out his own sword, looking around warily.

He quickly turned across and raised his sword up defensively as a rapid spear of blood ca shooting towards him, blocking it with the face of his blade.

"Looks like we’ve been found. They’re probably going to try and wear us down with sneak attacks. But I’m not going to let that happen," Declared Jules, flaming erupting around her sword as she raised it up high, before chanting, "[Giant Fire Blade]!"

The flas extended over her sword, forming a massive, towering blade of concentrated flas, the air around it shimring violently before she swung it across rapidly at the trees surrounding them, slicing them apart and setting them ablaze, a large ring of fire forming around the space, right as Colt sprang out from the trees, covered in several burns.

"Hm, not quite as potent as Raven’s flas, but still a decent amount of pain," He smirked, before adding as he glanced down at his bracelet, "Looks like I’m on my own in this fight...guess Lexia failed to avoid the flas. Heh, I’m totally gonna rub it in later, she’s bound to get real pissed!"

"I take it this ans you’re going to fight us? That seems ill-advised," Remarked Jules, before adding as she stepped forward, "Hart, stay by the flag and protect it. I’ll deal with this promptly."

"Understood, Commander, you can count on ," He responded, stepping in front of the flag as Jules shot towards Colt.

Colt swiftly ducked down as she whipped her sword across at his head as she closed in on him, a devastating eruption of flas bursting out over his head before he fired out a blast of blood at her legs, which she vaporized with a swift burst of flas from her knees, before swinging her sword down towards him.

A sharp clang ran out as Colt blocked the downward swing of her blade with his dagger, the heat from her sword burning his hands, a flushed grin spreading out across his face as he extended out several blood tendrils from his back.

Jules sprang back and backed away as the tendrils zipped out towards her, before firing out a roaring wave of flas from her mouth, vaporizing the blood before chasing after Colt as he raced across, before he chanted as she closed in on him...

"[Blood Zone]!"

A massive amount of blood erupted out and expanded across the area, enclosing Colt and Jules in a large do of blood.

"I see, so this is what your Zone Spell looks like," Remarked Jules, as tendrils zipped out and wrapped around her limbs and torso, restraining her.

"Mhm, it’s nowhere near as powerful as Aster’s Telekinetic Zone, of course, but that doesn’t an you should take it too lightly...so, think you can break free? You’re definitely going to want to get out of here sooner rather than later," Smirked Colt, a sadistic gleam in his eyes as he began to approach her.

"It truly is a relief that you’re on our side...but I wouldn’t be so cocky, Colt Lekta. Let’s see if you can survive this...I’m still working on it and can’t control it very well yet, but it should prove effective. Now, [Fla Zone]!" Jules chanted, the air around her shimring violently as imnse, blazing heat surrounded her.

Flas exploded out and wrapped around her body, before rapidly expanding, Colt’s eyes widening as the expanding flas closed in on him.

A massive eruption of red steam burst out as Jules’s new Spell vaporized Colt’s Blood Zone in the blink of an eye, the ground surrounding her getting charred black before the Spell deactivated, the flas and heat dissipating as she let out a slow exhale.

"Damn it, I could only maintain it for a couple of seconds...seems I still have a lot of room for improvent, I-...hm?" Frowned Jules as the blood steam cleared, Colt coming into sight.

He was badly burned, wisps of smoke billowing out across several burnt patches over his skin, his body trembling in pain while he had a flushed look on his face.

"D-Damn, that really packed a punch," He chuckled as he poked at one of the burns.

"You survived that, huh? You must have put up a blood defense before my attack hit. Still, in your current state, you can’t put up a fight against anymore. Ti to end this," Declared Jules, as she began to sprint towards Colt to eliminate him, before she ca to an abrupt halt as one of the two remaining crystals on her bracelet shattered.

Her eyes widened before she turned her gaze towards the flag, with no sign of Hart in sight, a bone projectile stuck in the ground around the spot where he’d been standing.

"No, it can’t b-...," She began, before getting teleported out.

"Heh, nicely done, that went just as we planned," Grinned Colt, as Lexia ca walking out from behind a charred tree, a grimace on her face.

"Shut up, this really fucking hurts. Even though I put up a wall of bones, I still got burned, the Commander’s firepower has definitely gone up a notch or two. Well, at least I’m not as burned as you are," She sighed, as she gave him a glance over.

"You’re missing out, this hurts so good! That was a great plan, by the way, having pry out one of the crystals on my bracelet to make them think that you’d been eliminated," Replied Colt, taking the removed crystal out of his pocket and lodging it back into the bracelet.

"Mhm, and once you were on the verge of defeat, they dropped their guards a bit, giving just the opening I needed. Now, then, we should probably head back to Raven and get you healed up, you’re not going to be able to fight very well in that state."
