Kai flopped onto his hotel bed, arms stretched wide as he stared at the ceiling. His body ached from their ga earlier, and all he wanted was to sleep.

However, a smile also appeared on his lips. He was fully ready to go back to Jilin and apologize to the townspeople for lacking in many aspects. Yet, here he was.

The Global Gas was fast approaching. There were less than three weeks before the other delegates ca to China, and although he knew that there was still an internal battle that was going to happen (especially since the older players, aside from Jaw-Long, still didn't accept them fully), Kai knew that they were getting closer to their goal.

He could feel that their strengths if put together, would be one hell of a power to oppose. If only they would allow that to happen.

He shook his head. He already had too much thinking for the day!

"Ah, ti to sleep," he muttered.

However, just as his eyes began to close, a chi rang in his mind. He frowned and opened his eyes, seeing the notification in his system.

[New Mission!]

Kai shot up from bed and sat straight. It had been a while since he had a mission. It seed like the system was slowing down after he reached the 'enigma' level and gained the stats bar.

[Make a group of people impressed. 10 XP for every person impressed.]

[Ti Limit: 8 hours.]

He blinked at the ssage, tilting his head to the side. "What kind of mission is that?" he whispered. It was pretty vague. Impress them with what? And what degree of impressiveness?

His brows furrowed as he considered it. Basketball was the obvious answer, but impressing anyone at the hotel with basketball skills? Impossible.

They were surrounded by world-class players. Moreover, the Elite Five had prides as large as a thousand rhinos. They would choose to sleep on a bed of thorns before admitting that Kai was a great player!

Another factor was the ti. It was already late, the hotel was quiet, and Kai was sure that no one—no ordinary person—would watch him shoot hoops now.

He rubbed his chin, deep in thought. "This is ridiculous," he said aloud, but before he could co up with a plan, his door flew open.

Max strolled in without hesitation, followed by Zheng.

"I don't even want to be here!"

Kai frowned when he heard Jimmy's familiar voice.

"Just enter," Zheng said, rolling his eyes.

After a few seconds, Jimmy and Jian trailed behind them, looking like they were dragged to be in the room.

Kai stood, observing the four of them with raised eyebrows. "What are you guys doing here?"

Max and Zheng turned to each other with knowing smiles before Max responded.

"We're bored," Max announced, flopping onto the bed like he owned the place.

"And hungry," Zheng added, sitting cross-legged on the floor.

Kai blinked. "We just ate. Didn't room service give the food?"

Max groaned, rubbing his stomach. "Hotel food is only good when you eat it once in a while. I never thought I would feel like this. It is true that you need to have ups and downs all your life. Having chef-made food for the past three days is just making my stomach upset."

Jian leaned against the wall, crossing his arms. "I miss my mom's cooking," he grumbled, quietly joining in on the conversation.

Zheng, who was still on the floor, smiled up at all of them.

"Must be nice! I don't have a mom!" he cheerily said.

The room was silent for a while as they looked at Zheng. He looked way too happy for soone who announced that his mom was dead. Kai didn't know whether to smile or pity him.

Jimmy clicked his tongue and sat on the couch. "You guys don't have class," he said, checking his nails.

"The hotel here is high-class food. That kind of food is all I need," he said with a boastful smirk.

They decided to ignore Jimmy's boasting. They were used to it by now. The spoiled player never felt what it was like to lack money or resources, so he was off the loop.

"Then, why are you guys here?" Kai asked, scratching the back of his neck.

"Well, you always have an idea," Max smiled. "So, we decided to co here."

"The gas are in Jian's room, though," Kai muttered.

"His gas are no fun," Zheng said. "It's all single-player. It must be because he didn't grow up with genuine friends."

Jian clicked his tongue while glaring at Zheng. However, Zheng decided to ignore him.

Kai was about to shoo them away, especially since he was feeling sleepy. However, he suddenly had a great idea.

He stood abruptly, startling everyone. "Wait here," he said, his voice firm.

Max frowned. "Why?"

This was the opportunity he was looking for! For a second, he considered not going through with the mission since it didn't have a sanction like the other missions he had.

However, seeing that this group of hungry boys was in his room, he might as well impress them with sothing else other than basketball.

"Answer my question, Kai," Max said, shaking his shoulders.

"Just do it!" Kai snapped before darting out of the room.

The group exchanged puzzled glances.

"Did he lose it?" Jimmy asked, leaning back against the couch.

Jian sighed. "Probably. I told you guys we should've left him alone."

Max shrugged. "He's up to sothing. Might as well see where this goes."

Zheng leaned his chin on his hand, looking contemplative. "Maybe he's finally snapping after dealing with us all day."

Jimmy smirked. "Good. He deserves it after hogging the ball earlier."

anwhile, Kai was on a mission of his own.

He stord down the hallway, his hands already itching.

Impressing this group wasn't going to be easy, especially since they were so hard to please.

But if there was one thing Kai knew, it was that the way to a person's heart—and their admiration—was through their stomach.
