The Shizi Dogs had gathered in the court, with the white screen and the projector set up in the middle of the room.
Kai sighed and massaged the bridge of his nose as his teammates scrutinized the photos that had been posted by the city's public page regarding the championships of the Interhigh Nationals.
"Holy crap, Yuze!" Kun exclaid. "You're really photogenic. You look like an actor in this photo."
Yuze clicked his tongue and pushed Kun's shoulder. "You're exaggerating," he muttered. However, it was obvious that he also enjoyed the complint.
"You don't look too bad yourself, Kun," Jet chid. "Actually, you look much better in these photos. You should convert yourself to a photo."
Kun tilted his head to the side and scratched the back of his neck. "I don't know whether that's supposed to be a complint or not."
"Just take it as a complint," Andy said with a chuckle. However, he quickly beca livid when he saw a photo that contained him.
"What the heck?" he exclaid. "I look like a praying mantis! There's sothing wrong with their cara."
The next photo was once again Yuze, who was holding their trophy high in the air.
"There's clearly nothing wrong with the cara," Shang said, chuckling in amusent.
The others continued teasing Andy. However, they all halted when Lina clicked on the next photo.
The court turned silent as they stared at the photo of Kai, who was receiving his dal for the rookie MVP.
They tilted their heads to the side before turning to Kai, then turning to the screen once more. They did this multiple tis, causing Kai to click his tongue.
"What?" he asked.
"I see—my photo isn't that bad," Andy said, feeling comforted.
"You look like shit in that photo," Shang said what everyone was saying in the room. "It doesn't even look like you!"
"I'll take that as a complint," Kai sighed, already feeling annoyed.
Lina shook her head as she observed the photo. "I think there's really sothing wrong with the cara."
With that, she scrolled through the other photos, only to see that Kai looked awful in most of them. So of them were taken at a weird angle, while so just had him doing a weird expression.
[Humble points earned.]
[Reason: Shitty photos posted for the world to see.]
[ 30 XP]
Kai felt slightly offended that the XP he received was so high. Did he look that awful in them?
"You look fine in videos, but these photos aren't it," Shang chid.
Kai sighed and shook his head. "I'm not photogenic, alright?" he exclaid.
"We could see that," Yuze said as Lina went to his past solo picture.
"Even you?" Kai asked, feeling betrayed by their captain.
"Don't worry," Kun said, placing his arm around Kai. "You look much better in real life. It's the reason why you have so many fans in the first place."
"The comnts are roasting him, though," Jinping chuckled, enjoying the situation.
"I'll read so of them," he proposed, amusent heard in his tone.
"This is the guy that everyone has been simping on? I can't believe we've stooped so low as a society."
"My crush likes this dude. I can't believe I lost to him."
"Even Mark Li mogged him. Is this really the Kai Guo that everybody has been raving about?"
"Why are we out here bullying a 16-year-old for his looks? You have no lives—"
"Oh wait, that's a good comnt," Jinping said, moving on to the next one.
"Kai truly looks like a dog—a pug."
"Alright, that's enough," Lina said, closing her laptop, which earned groans from the other players.
"It was so fun, though!" Jinping exclaid.
Lina clicked her tongue and glanced at Kai. "Is it fun for Kai, though?"
They all turned to the young player, who sighed before shrugging.
"It's fine," he muttered. "A couple photos don't define who I am. I don't even see the reason for discussing my looks when I'm a basketball player."
"That's just how it is, unfortunately," Renren sighed.
"Don't worry, Kai," Andy said. "You're still the most handso in the entire league!"

Kai smirked and dusted off his shoulders. "Oh, I know that."
The boys turned silent. "Alright, fun's over," Jet said. "Let's get down to business!"
Kai shook his head in amusent as the boys acted like he just said sothing atrocious.
"Right," Lina said. "We have so things to establish before we start our training for today."
The Shizi Dogs turned serious as they listened to their team manager.
"First, I want to congratulate us once again for making it to the Nationals!"
"Wooh," the boys cheered, still feeling the high of their near victory.
"We ca close to being the champions, with only a one-point gap separating us from the Knights. I believe our chances are high if we continuously improve our training system."
"With that, I want to announce that our training will continue even if the season is already over."
"There's less than a month left of school until sumr break—when the Nationals will be held."
"In the middle of that, we have a small academic break due to the accumulated holidays, so we'll use that for our off-season training. We will be using the funds we've gained from all the rch we've sold."
"Just right after the school year ends, the Nationals will take place, so we have no ti to slack!" she continued, determination seen in her eyes.
"It's going to be a three-week continuous event that will be held in Beijing, and all the expenses will be paid by our city."
Jet clapped cloudy, excited by the fact that they wouldn't spend anything on the trip.
"We have faced tough opponents in the Interhigh Preliminaries. However, we will be facing even bigger monsters in the Nationals."
"There are 23 provinces and 4 municipalities participating, so a total of 54 teams will be competing for the title of the national champions. We still don't know what format they're going to utilize, but we have to be prepared with anything."
"Now, let give you a heads up of the different strong teams that we should look out for."
"The Yin Yang Knights are already a given," she continued.
"There's also the International Archers and the Keystone Giants."
"Another is the Ying Eagles."
"The Longyu Dragons."
"The Juren Champions…"
"…and the Huolan Guardians."
