Kai let out a deep breath as he settled in the waiting room.

There were still two hours until the event would start, but Kai was already in full gear.

The ga was scheduled right after a school day, and he went as soon as he finished showering in their gym.

The ga was still due at 6 PM, so the others opted to go ho and prepare for the ga.

Kai, on the other hand, couldn't help it.

They were playing against the Feng Foxes once again.

There hadn't been an instance where the Dogs had beaten them, so Kai felt more jittery than usual.

Aside from that, he didn't want to be late once more.

As he was alone, he freely looked at his system and sighed.

[Current level: Master (43)]

He was able to upgrade his level by practicing and receiving letters, numbers, and invitations.

Kai couldn't wait for the mission to be over so he could finally decline them.

"Master," Kai muttered.

In his books, being a master ant that soone was great in their field. However, even then, Kai didn't really know where he stood.

Was being at the Master level good enough to beat the Feng Foxes?

How many levels were there?

All he knew was that his system was entitled—Rise to Legend System.

"That must an that the last level is 'Legend,' right?" he muttered.

Then, he shook his head, getting rid of such thoughts.

If he solely relied on his system, then could he proudly call himself a basketball player?

anwhile, outside the venue, the respective teams that will have their gas for the night had laid out their goodies on the table.

Kun, Renren, and Lina arranged the table, but it seed like there were already a lot of people peering at them.

Lina frowned. "Are they waiting for us to finish setting things up?" Lina asked.

Kun craned his neck and hesitantly nodded. "I think so," he said. "They're wearing pink. They also have pink ribbons."

"Well, that's a surprise," Lina muttered. "Our custors increased during the opening of the Interhigh Prelims, but there wasn't a line like this."

Renren chuckled. "Is it really that surprising after Kai had a haircut?"

Lina clicked her tongue. "Don't even ntion his na to ."

Kun and Renren turned to each other in surprise.

"Why not?" Kun asked. "I thought you liked him."

Lina sighed and paused in arranging the goodies.

"I do," she said in frustration. "You guys said that he wasn't accepting confessions and numbers or anything like that; but I saw his bag! He had multiple love letters and contact numbers inside."

"Eyy, that's my boy," Kun said, earning him a glare from Lina.

"What?" Kun chuckled. "He's an up-and-coming popular player. I would be elated from all the attention."

Renren clicked his tongue. "Don't listen to that guy," he said, patting Lina's shoulder. "Kai may seem a bit weird, but I think he's just shy. He might not have the courage to reject those people."

"Kai? Shy?" Kun asked. "Those two words rhy, but I don't think the word 'shy' is in Kai's dictionary. Moreover, what was the reason that he only started accepting such confessions this week?"

Lina's face showed her dilemma.

Renren slapped the back of Kun's head.

"You're making her overthink," he scolded.

"Anyway," Renren said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "I think you should try once again. I believe Kai would accept your feelings right away."

Lina's heart raced inside her chest. "You think so?" she asked.

Renren pursed his lips. "Well, you'll never know until you try, right?"

"Booth's done," Kun said. "Let's sell out these bad boys!"

Renren smirked and turned to the people who had queued in front of their table.

"Goods are available now," he said with a small smile.

The students, so still wearing their respective uniforms, smiled in excitent as they went closer to their table.

"Can I please have a Kai banner?"

"You don't have any other Kai rch?"

"One Yuze sticker, please."

"I want the mug with Kai's jersey number."

"Dang," Kun said as they continued selling their school's rch. Their little box of money was filled in no ti as multiple people, so even coming from different schools, continued to buy the goodies.

A pretty girl with long hair and a plaid yellow uniform approached the table. Renren and Kun turned to each other in surprise.

"She's really pretty," Kun whispered.

Lina smiled politely at the pretty girl.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Do you still have so of Kai's rch left?" she asked.

Lina froze and pursed her lips. Then, she shook her head.

"Unfortunately, we've sold everything Kai-related out."

The pretty girl pouted and turned to her friends for support.

"It's okay."

"We should co earlier next ti."

One of her friends placed her hand on the table and desperately looked at Lina.

"Are you sure that there's nothing left?" she asked.

Lina cleared her throat.

In truth, there was still one more banner in stock. However, Lina decided to keep it to herself.

With that, she smiled at the pretty girl, looking a bit forced.

"No, sorry," she squeezed out.

"Aww," her friends exclaid in disappointnt as the pretty girl's shoulder slumped in disappointnt.

"We even skipped school just to co here," the pretty girl said.

"We'll look for soone who has so rch inside and buy it from them," her friend said, trying to comfort her.

anwhile, Kun cleared his throat, capturing their attention.

They all looked at him with curiosity.

He smoldered, like the thief in 'Tangled.' Lina looked at him and shook her head at his ridiculous expression.

"Kai's rch is all sold out," Kun started off, the smolder not leaving his face.

"But I still have plenty," he smirked. "Why don't you give it a chance?"

The girls in yellow uniforms awkwardly glanced at each other.

Then, the pretty girl turned to Kun and smiled.

"No thanks," she said.

"Let get so of the general rch instead."
