On the 11th day of the 93rd Sumr League, in the second match of the third round, West Tokyo’s representative, Waseda Industries, achieved an overwhelming victory against the tournant’s black horse Sakushin Gakuin, advancing to the Sumr League quarterfinals for the second consecutive year without suspense.
Though they lost the match, the players of Sakushin Gakuin weren’t overly disappointed—after years away from Koshien, reaching the third round far exceeded their pre-match expectations, and having expended every effort losing to the top favorite led by a monster, left these players without regret.
After the match, due to his outstanding performance, Lin Guanglai was once again invited by the dia for a post-match interview; unlike before, today he was joined by Hagiyama Mitsuo, who similarly hit a ho run, for the post-match interview session.
