Ashad yet delighted, the servant told the Archduchess while both practised embroidery. However, as the one already pregnant stared at the Archduchess’ figure briefly, Kelly bluntly unleashed her beliefs. — “Nevertheless, milady... months have passed since the Archduke’s return... has... has the Archduchess experienced the bleeding again?”

“..... bleeding?”

“Yes... a woman’s-”

“I-I know what bleeding you’re talking about.”

“...”

“...”

“... Therefore? Has it co again as it should?”

“.......... it hasn’t...”

“... The Ma’am’s glow is different... thou shape appears so as well... Perhaps... the nausea cos from your womb instead.”

“..... n-no... it is... it is impossible...”

“Yet his Grace gave the earth’s seed, did he not? Perhaps, it truly restored the Ma’am’s fruitfulness...”

“.......”

“... Would you like for myself to summon Kleifar’s midwife?”

“...”

“It is the safest way to learn if a child is the cause...”

“........ D-do you truly think... I... that I may be waiting for a child, Kelly?” — Shaken by the emotions, Ewelina’s expression beca innocent while asking the close servant, begging with her brows for the truth to be told as fear ca to cover her soul. — “What if... what if we are mistaken..... I cannot tell this to Aslak without making sure...”

“That is why we are to summon the midwife, milady... Yet as a pregnant wife myself..... I believe there is no mistake...”

“...”

“The Archduchess’ essence is one of a future mother.”

As suggested by the servant, that day, Ewelina t the midwife of the village below the boulder, nervous and shaken by the possibility which brought her to avoid any visit to the spouse whose curiosity would be picked at her absence and would guard the Spiked Eye entrance until the sight of the woman would be t at her return from the village.

From below the high arch of the Castle’s entrance, he saw Ewelina et his eye while walking alongside the servant he once almost punished, and the hug she received as they separated so the wife could go to him made his brow raise, dubious of the motives that could be behind it.

“H-husband... it is rare to see you here at this ti...”

“You didn’t go to so I ca here to find you.”

“Oh... I-I see...”

“What’s wrong.”

“...... N-nothing is wrong...”

“Your eyes keep avoiding mine. Sothing’s wrong. Did she say sothin’ to ya?”

“... Aslak...”

“What. Did she do sothing. I’m asking, Fatædi.”

Conflicted by the dangerous persistence of the man, her head lowered deepening his frown, invoking rage in the spouse at misconceptions, which would be restricted from unfair actions by the hand of the wife that tily reached out for the clenched fist of the spouse that glared at that one he suspected.

“... Aslak... c-could we go sowhere our privacy is allowed...?”

“... why.”

“There is... Sothing truly important I need to tell you...”

“... a’ight.”

Even though dubious of the wife’s attitude, the man quietly turned while grasping tight hold of her hand in intertwined fingers, moving imdiately inside their residence to take her to the chambers both shared.

The silence remanined until inside and with closed doors he ca back to hold the wife’s visage so her eyes would look at him, troubled yet gentle as he asked for her closed lids to open at his inquiry.

“What happened, Fatædi.”

“... Aslak...”

“?!... Why are tears falling... did that woman truly harm you?”

“No... No, it is not what husband believes... Kelly did not harm myself...”

“... Then what is it.”

“...”

“Fatædi, please. I’m feeling mad from worry...” — Aslak said while stroking her skin... finally seeing what would dismiss concerns to only make him confused. — “... what is it that happened...?”

The love in her hues reverberated to the emotions of the thrill and the softest and most vulnerable smile lited in a conflicted expression while her hands caressed his, cuddling to them... as tears of happiness continued to be shed while the spouse observed... perplexed by the woman’s behaviour that soon, in her toes, reached out for the man’s lean, kissing him dearly even if briefly...

“Good news they are...”

“... what news...”

“Within myself, in a restored womb... your child, my love... our child is growing...”

“...”

“I am pregnant with your child, my love...”

“...”

“... Fatæ...?”

As she saw his stunned amber glance at the place a child was conceived, Ewelina beca nervous at his stillness, and yet, solely for a mont she was allowed to feel fearful, for the eyes of the spouse quickly went back to et hers, allowing the mischievous grin of the man to take form.

“When will it arrive. It must still be small since you’re not round.”

“?!~... I believe soon my shape will change. The midwife at Kleifar said the ti has passed enough for it to manifest. That is why my deanour has been odd lately...”

“Haha... a kid...”

“... A child, husband... If called kid it appears unatached from you...”

“My kid it is. It’ll know it’s not what appears.” — Smiling in retort, the man’s hand was placed on her stomach, pressing it as if impatient and thrilled by the notice. — “Is it a male?”

“?! Goodness~ It is solely once born that we shall learn~”

“... Oi. Yer a male aren’t ya.”

“Hahaha~ What is this you are asking~?”

“It has to be, Fatædi. I know it.”

“How does husband know? Even myself that carries our child does not know...”

“My gut.”

“Hmm... a barbarian’s gut~ I see~”

Chuckling to the innocent enthusiasm of the spouse, her limbs decided to surround him in a blissful hug, cuddling to the man’s chest while listening to the excited heart within... And she smiled... entranced by the happiness that a daydream-like reality blessed upon her soul.

“Fatæ... a family we will have...”

“Aie... the earth’s word was fulfilled, Fatædi.”

“..... Happiness fills my soul, Aslak...” — Receiving the groom of the husband, with weak sound she whispered overwheld. — “From the man my soul belongs with... it’s desire will be achieved finally...”

“...”

“I love... every hazard that took to this day, my loved Spouse...” — While the tears of happiness fell tracing her glowing visage, the attentive man kissed their trace on her skin, stroking them away as the emotion infected his amber. — “The sweetest of lives this is... my love... my spouse... How pleased I am that my children will be yours, Aslak...”

“Ewelina...”

“Do not leave to resu your tasks today...”

“...”

“This bliss... allow myself to enjoy with my fated lung... my soul’s partner...”
