Her fingertips burned from the strength applied to scratch her limbs and pull her curls, now trying to grab with its nails the rough floor that escaped her easily.

"Hng... everything... breathing harms even..." — Letting her head fall from depression, Ewelina’s shaking resonated with the drops she now did not restrict from forming. Feeling as if dirt itself... Worthless from sad emptiness...

And as her heart syncopated to the shivering cries her soul needed to pour out...

*Clank...*

The careful sound of the door was heard so clearly in the stillness of the shattered adornnts scattered around the room, opening her eyes, pausing any chaotic thought conquering her mind... Until it was at the sound of its closure that her lowered head decided to lift, even if with hazardous trembles... to look at the man who would find such a different scene to the one he had imagined.

"??... Fatædi?"

"....."

"!? Ewelina, what is this-"

"Don’t give another step near ."

"-!? Fatædi, what-"

"I SAID DON’T GET CLOSER!!!"

"..."

Shocked by the force her yell could take in its harmful sound, Aslak stopped his every movent. Startled by the appearance his wife had as she rose from the ground with difficulty.

Her stamr did not let him get close for her stance straightened imdiately to glare with exhausted red eyes at the man, gritting her teeth in hatred as she understood no belief she previously had of the spouse was true.

"... Fatædi, what’s wrong-..." — Trying once more to get a step closer for his beloved lung was visibly unwell, Aslak was stopped by her frighteningly cold glare. Being answered by a pause in which she watched him briefly and distant...

"What’s wrong... haha... this. Everything... my very existence is what’s wrong, despicable animal."

"... Ewelina, what’re you saying. Co on, don’t be like this-"

"You don’t seem to understand I don’t want you anywhere near , huh."

Even if confused by the state his wife was in, Aslak attempted to still force his way to the woman who stepped back to his every attempt. And at this last step the spouse gave forward in wish to et and caress the hurtful visage conquered by violent tears, Ewelina’s expression appeared distorted in its smile. One that conveyed how lost her sanity was becoming at the pain her spirit was to drown itself hopelessly.

”Where are you going?”

”...”

Swift and certain, the woman went to the nearby cabinet, where a gift he had recently given laid peacefully opposite to its purpose. Taking it from its handle to then look at the man who could not understand what occurred to his wife’s usual softness.

"... Put that back. You’re not well."

"If I put it back will you try to co close again?"

"....."

"Because if you give a step closer, I’ll end it all with this axe you gave ... Cursed waste."

".. .. "

"Hah... I’ve never wanted to die as strongly as you’ve made want it today, Aslak."

"Fatædi-"

"DOn’T CaLL tHaT!!!"

"!?!?! Ewelina, drop the axe!!!" — Feeling faint at the quick motion the woman took the edge to her throat with, Aslak started shivering uncontrollably in fear. Confused at the situation and despair in the fading hues of his fated lung barely standing before him.

"Don’t... Don’t even address ..... Hearing you call whatever na makes nauseous... It’s sickening." — Holding onto the axe’s handle with tremorous hands, her lids closed as her pain was shown in her visage. — "Don’t... don’t even look at ..."

"...... Woman, I don’t understand what you’re doing... please drop the axe and tell what’s going on..."

"..... You don’t understand?"

"... No..."

"..... Of course you don’t... if you were able to understand, what you’ve done to you’d have never done it."

"..... Tell what it is-!?! Ewelina!"

"I SAID DON’T GET CLOSE!!!! ARE YOU DEAF?!?!"

"Alright! I won’t get close!! Fatædi don’t cut yourself!!" — Seeing the slight red flowing from her clean neck, Aslak’s blood fell to the ground in bewildernt. Now sharing the tremble in fear that the woman before him experienced under great sorrow. Having to swallow nervously a dry mouthpiece to continue talking with his disrupted wife. — "T-... Take the axe away... you’ll hurt yourself."

"... It doesn’t matter to ." — With a lost gaze, Ewelina expressed, giving weak and short steps towards him, looking deeply into the amber of her spouse... provoking a stronger shiver as within the wife’s hues no will to continue was left inside. — "Hurting myself... it’s nothing compared with how my soul’s been torn to pieces by yourself."

"....."

"... You lied to ."

"..."

"You... you bought ... making sure I was already useless... Making sure I was valueless flesh... one that would not give anything... a withered, worthless woman..."

"... I... I was going to tell you."

"When."

"..."

"After I beca concerned I could not give my spouse an heir? Or after I decided not to drink that cursed tea anymore and you had to make sure I continued withered???"

"... No... I..."

"... Let tell you. You wouldn’t have needed to search another way."

"?"

"When one consus those kinds of tea, after few months one is... permanently withered."

"... Ewelina..."

"It’s perfect for you. A bought wife. Withered. Useless... one you can lie to easily... from even before eting her."

"Fatædi, that’s not true..."

"You should’ve told I didn’t need to think about Cole ’cause you killed him."

"!? How did you know..."

"Does it matter now? I already learned about it."

"... Ewelina, this... we can talk about it. Just... stop holding the axe to your neck."

"What I desired most in my life... during the eternity my soul has existed... it was one sole wish..... And it was giving birth to children, Archduke."

"..."

"To beco a mother... To build a family..."

"... We can still-"

"You not only killed my womb and wish, your grace." — Lowering the axe, Ewelina told the man with dim sound, not looking at him that was on alert by her every breath and motion... taking the blade sowhere else, cutting her wrist carelessly and indifferent to the pain on her skin... Solely focusing on the life leaving from her along the darkest blood.
