Liu i’s Totally Professional Observation JournalDay 47 Since Beginning Surveillance

Okay so the subject is an absolute disaster and I still don’t understand how he’s alive.

Hunter (still don’t know his full na, he’s weirdly cagey about it) just fought a Peak Body Refining Blood Path cultivator and WON. Not through skill. Not through technique. Through what I can only describe as "panicked flailing backed by Foundation Realm stubbornness."

His fighting style, if you can call it that, consists of:

1. Shadow Step sowhere random

2. Swing sword

3. Hope sothing connects

4. Repeat until enemy stops moving

This should NOT work. Every sect manual says this should get you killed imdiately.

He’s won every single fight I’ve watched.

I’m starting to think the cultivation world’s instruction manuals are lying.

Also he complains SO MUCH. "My ribs hurt." "Why does everyone want to kill ?" "Can’t we just talk about our feelings?"

YOU’RE A CULTIVATOR. Violence is literally the job. That’s like being a fish and complaining about water.

His group is equally ridiculous. They call themselves "Shadow Legion" which sounds terrifying until you et them and realize it’s three disciples who scream during combat, a seven year old with a rock, so twins who share one brain cell, and a rchant who takes notes on EVERYTHING like he’s writing a particularly detailed shopping list.

(The widow is scary though. She has murder eyes. I respect her.)

Anyway. The Iron Wolves attacked them today. Twenty one Blood Path cultivators versus fifteen mostly normal people.

Math said: Everyone dies horribly.

Reality said: Nope.

Hunter’s killing intent manifested during the fight. I felt it from thirty ters away. Raw, uncontrolled, absolutely genuine murder rage compressed into spiritual pressure. It happened the exact mont Iron Fang threatened the seven year old.

Wait hold on. He calls her his daughter now?

(Checks previous notes)

He literally just DECIDED she was his daughter. Mid battle. While fighting for his life. Just went "yes this is my child now" and imdiately tried to murder anyone who looked at her wrong.

That’s. Actually really sweet?

No wait. Professional observations only. No emotional investnt.

(But it was kind of sweet.)

They won sohow. Then went to find the Iron Wolves camp because apparently Hunter has a death wish and can’t just accept victory and leave.

That’s where things got bad.

I’ve seen Blood Path aftermath twice before on sect missions. It’s always horrible but you learn to handle it.

This was different.

Forty three people.

Forty three PEOPLE in cages like they were livestock.

I’ve read the sect manuals on Blood Path cultivation. I know the theory. Human life force as cultivation resources. Evil techniques that require victims.

Reading about it in a manual and seeing cages full of corpses mixed with dying people is VERY different.

So were already dead. Just left there rotting with the living. So were dying and begging for water or death or both. The won’s cages were the worst. Their clothes were torn and their eyes were empty and I don’t want to write about what that ans.

Then I saw the children’s cage.

Six kids. Five corpses. One barely breathing.

Blood Path cultivators usually avoid children because killing kids brings full sect extermination. It’s bad for business. These monsters did it anyway and kept RECORDS. Docunted everything like a rchant tracking inventory.

"Child subjects provide purer essence."

They wrote that. In a ledger. Like they were discussing crop yields.

I almost broke cover to go burn everything myself.

Then I watched Hunter’s group discover it.

The rchant vomited. The disciples started crying while trying to free survivors. The widow recognized soone and made sounds that humans shouldn’t make.

Hunter went to the children’s cage.

The last one was still alive. Barely. Sa age as that girl who follows him around. She looked up at him and whispered "Mister can you kill please?"

Then she died.

Just died. Right there. In his arms. Like she’d been waiting for permission to stop suffering.

He stood there holding a dead child and his spiritual pressure went completely insane. Killing intent so raw and uncontrolled I felt it in my bones. Not refined. Not elegant. Just pure rage and grief compressed into spiritual weight.

Then he moved.

They buried all forty three. Every single one. Took five hours. Made individual graves with marked stones. Said prayers they clearly didn’t know properly but tried anyway.

Sect protocol is burn the bodies and move on. Evidence destruction. Efficient. Professional.

Hunter’s group gave them funerals.

Like they were people. Like they mattered.

I had to stop watching for a minute because my eyes were doing sothing unprofessional.

Then ca the executions.

Six captured Iron Wolves. Blood Path practitioners. Sect law says imdiate death penalty. I’ve watched sect mbers do this. Quick, efficient, unmoved.

Hunter lined them up. Let them speak. Then killed them one by one. Clean strikes through the heart. Six executions in under a minute.

His hands were perfectly steady.

Standard procedure. Everything correct. Professional execution of criminals.

So why did he fall apart afterward?

Everyone else left and he just sat down against a tree and broke. Shoulders shaking. Face hidden. Completely silent breakdown like those deaths cost him sothing important.

That’s not how cultivators are supposed to react. We’re trained past that. Necessary deaths don’t cause trauma. That’s weakness.

But then the seven year old found him. Didn’t say anything. Just sat next to him until he pulled himself together.

And he got up. And he’s going to do it again tomorrow if he has to.

That’s not weakness.

That’s sothing else entirely.

Okay so. Revised assessnt. For the official report. Definitely just for professional docuntation.

Subject: Still a disaster. Still sohow winning. Still complains constantly.

But also: Adopts orphans mid combat. Buries victims like they matter. Executes evil cultivators and breaks down because it still affects him. Protects his people with absolutely zero regard for his own safety.

He’s going to keep killing when necessary. Keep making terrible choices. Keep protecting those weird fifteen people he’s collected like stray cats.

And I just watched him hold a dying child and promise safety to a seven year old and destroy a man’s cultivation base for threatening her and then CRY about having to execute prisoners because it still matters to him.

That’s not supposed to be attractive.

I an. Relevant. That’s not supposed to be RELEVANT to threat assessnt.

Professional observations only.

(Why is my face warm?)

He’s still a disaster. Fights like a drunk chicken. Complains about everything. Has no idea what he’s doing.

But he does it anyway.

And he cares. About all of it. The deaths. The choices. The weight of leadership. He cares so much it’s breaking him and he just keeps going.

Most cultivators I know would have burned those bodies and felt nothing. Hunter buried them with tears running down his face.

Most cultivators would execute prisoners without hesitation. Hunter did it and fell apart after.

That’s supposed to be weakness. Emotional compromise. Inefficient.

But watching him stand up anyway. Watching him wipe his eyes and go back to his people and be strong for them even though he’s clearly dying inside.

That’s not weakness.

That’s the strongest thing I’ve ever seen.

(I should probably stop watching him.)

(I’m definitely not going to stop watching him.)

(This is still professional observation. Obviously.)

(Stupid disaster cultivator making feel things.)
