Chapter 378: The Armor of the Goddess of Nature (Part 2)

Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

The dinsion stones could not be found in the current dinsion anymore. Besides Saleen’s teacher, Jason, Saleen had never heard of anyone who had them. It seed that his teacher was a really wealthy person who was hardly seen!

Saleen threw six dinsion stones at once into the belt that he was making with the water flas. Any mage’s heart would have bled if they were to see that. Saleen did not care. If he did not throw in the dinsion stones, the belt would have no potential for growth. He was only a grade-5 mage. Even if the water fla alchemy was amazing, it could not create any equipnt that was too strong. However, balance could be found through the materials.

Nailisi had devoted her life to saving him a few tis because of the soul bond, but Sika had no need to do so. Of course, Saleen would not be so stingy as to refrain from using any materials for Sika.

There were a total of forty dinsion stones. He had given Nailisi one and Sika six, so he was left with thirty-three. He wanted to save thirty-six dinsion stones so that he could make equipnt that could evolve into a godly item once he beca a sorcerer but he need to take care of Sika first.

Saleen threw various precious materials into the flas as a smile grew on his face. With this Goddess of Nature armor, it will be difficult for anyone to harm Sika.

What was the strongest characteristic of the armor? It was not the healing ability, but the attributes of the Myers Goddess. The goddess was a god born in the current dinsion, so the armor would have corresponding resilience towards any attacks from this dinsion. Most importantly, the divinity on the armor would predict danger. The armor could provide its owner with the abilities needed for any battle in the current dinsion.

If it had just been a simple piece of defensive equipnt, why would Saleen have been willing to throw in six dinsion stones?

There was chaos within the space of the dinsion stones. Saleen slt them entirely with water flas. The armor of the goddess had the ability to absorb attacks, being normally inlaid with high-grade materials as the carrier. The tougher the inlaid material, the tougher the armor would be. The dinsion stone was, of course, tough enough as it contained the attributes of space, and the endurance also increased trendously.

As long as it was not a physical attack, regardless of whether it was magic or divinity, the six dinsion stones could absorb ten percent of the power. The six pieces of unremarkable stones ford a line on the belt, just like the stars.

Saleen saw that the equipnt he made possessed spirituality and was thrilled when he had mastered water fla alchemy. If he was not willing to put in effort, he would need to wait until he beca a sorcerer before he could perfect the spell.

Saleen saw that the belt gradually ford its shape according to his mind and the water flas in his hands grew uncontrollably intense. He knew that it was a rare chance so he called for Sika.

Sika felt it too so she jumped off of the bed and took out the precious tals that she was carrying with her in a leather pouch. Saleen smiled and threw the tals collected from various dinsions by goddess’ fanatic believers into the water flas.

His skills might not have been as good as Faerun’s in the past, but the slting power of the water flas were far more powerful than a magic fla.

A set of goddess armor that was even more perfect than its original plan was beginning to take shape. The soft leather was covered with dragon bones, forming beautiful scales. In the water flas, the shape of armor kept changing and finally beca a set of full body armor that was rarely seen.

The maroon tal helt could fully cover the face but there was a gap on the forehead, so Saleen threw in another six dinsion stones without hesitation. One dinsion stone lted onto the gap on the forehead while the other five lted onto the four limbs of the armor and a floral pattern appeared on the chest.

That was the symbol of the Goddess of Nature. The pattern covered the chest of the armor and ford two exquisite bumps. The left arm of the armor was shorter but the right arm of the armor was thicker, just like a solid tal shield with a high relief of the six magic beasts that had been enslaved by the Myers Goddess.

The six magic beasts were said to have been created by the Goddess of Nature and had gone extinct long ago, but the relief was so lifelike that it seed as though they were going to soar out from the armpiece.

The goddess armor originally only had a breastplate and vambrace, but this set of armor was almost full bodied. The back, chest, and abdon were fully covered with tal sheets. The sharp tal sheets had been refined by Saleen with the water flas, becoming soft but tough.

There was suddenly a skirt below the belt and it was looked just like the leaves of so plants. They fluttered even without wind, floating in the water flas and gleaming dark green. The color of the entire set of armor turned from that of sheet tal into a dark green.

Furthermore, below the armor were a pair of dragon head boots that looked just like the tiago. The originally empty left arm gained another long tal glove that could cover most of Sika’s arm. It would likely only reveal her upper arm, right where Sika wore her arm ring.

Saleen complained of the suffering in his heart. His magic chords were quickly running low, and the power of life in his left hand was passing swiftly into the armor too.

He did not know that the armor of the Goddess of Nature was not easily made. In order to get the armor back then, one needed to be a high-grade high priest of the goddess to have to courage to get it to work. Those high priests were at least at the level of grade-9 sorcerers.

If Saleen’s left hand had not absorbed power from the Tree of Life, he would have been emptied and turned into a skeleton then.

The armor of the Goddess of Nature was no secret. There were many blueprints left behind. But if it was that easy to make, why wouldn’t the descendants try to make it?

There was no other reason. It was not like one could not make the armor due to the passing of the goddess. As long as one put in the power of life, even without an incantation of divinity, it would still be the strongest armor in the current dinsion. The question was, which mage would be willing to do so?

Sacrificing a few hundred years of their life in exchange for so armor for a swordsman? Even a mage who had lost their mind would not do that.

Saleen did not hesitate. He took out the special magic nuclei that he had retrieved from the hell of god’s punishnt and threw them into the water flas. The magic nuclei fused into a magic array, embedding themselves on the armor, and the magic rune started growing on the armor and the absorption of the power of life slowed down.

Saleen saw his left hand drying up. Just like last ti, it turned into skin and bone and resembled the hand of a spirit of the dead. Luckily, the spiritual armor only absorbed things to that extent and had stopped absorbing power from Saleen, only floating in the water flas quietly.

No wonder my teacher warned not to use the water flas to make any powerful equipnt. If he had been a grade-7 sorcerer, he could have stopped making the armor at anyti. Luckily, the armor was not a weapon. Otherwise, he would have been sucked dry and would not have been able to fulfill the requirents of the set of armor.

Sika saw the change in Saleen’s hand and yelped. Saleen retrieved the water flas slowly and felt that he had lost more than half of his magic chords. Losing so much of his magic chords, he might not be able to recover them in three months’ ti.

Saleen forced a smile and told Sika, “Don’t worry. This armor was beyond my expectations. Try it on.”

Putting out the last bit of water flas, the temperature of the armor had risen. Without the support of the water flas, it fell onto the floor.

“Your hand!”

“Half a year, or maybe a year. Don’t be scared. Didn’t we go through this before?”

Saleen knew that it was because he added dinsion stones into the armor. That was why the armor had absorbed so much of the power of life. However, there was a benefit. In the future, when the divinity on the armor was stimulated, it would not need to borrow divinity directly from his left hand.

This set of Goddess of Nature armor was fused with twelve dinsion stones, and all these stones were filled with the power of life. The armor itself had beco a container that could provide Sika with everything she needed for divinity.

The loss outweighed the gain though. If he had known that this would be the outco, he would have waited. He would have waited until the mages from Sregl Island had arrived so that he would not be afraid of decreasing his combat abilities. Sika had increased her fighting ability because of this, but his own fighting power had dropped to less than half of what it was. He might not even be able to use the crystal finger.

Fortunately, his magic chords were double those of mages on the sa level. Otherwise, it would be a serious problem.

“Saleen!” Sika knew that Saleen’s injuries could be recovered, but she still felt heartache. She held Saleen’s shrivelled left hand and blew lightly on it.

“I said I’m okay. Put on the armor, quickly.”

Sika nodded. Even if Saleen had not urged her, she had to put on so clothes. He had spent more than three days making the set of armor. She had fallen asleep by his side a few tis since she was trapped on the other side of the bed and could not get her clothes so she could not leave.

Normal armor required assistance from other soldiers to put on, but magic armor did not have the sa problem. Saleen helped Sika put on her armor and Sika chanted the holy prose that Saleen taught her. The armor vibrated subtly and finally tightly hugged her body.

Ka! Ka! Ka…

The joints of the armor moved relative to one another naturally, coordinating with Sika’s body. The materials thrown into the armor had been above five hundred kilograms in total, but wearing it felt like it was only a few kilograms. The twelve pieces of dinsion stones shared most of the power. Even external attacks would be shared with the dinsion stones.

Even though the material for the armor was not the most powerful, the defenses were not any weaker than that of glorious godly armor by the Holy See.

Saleen saw Sika getting approval by the armor after putting it on and felt at ease. It was great to have money. If he had not had dinsion stones, it would have been impossible to make the armor.

The complete set on Sika led to an indescribable power within her body. The power derived from the armor, but it was united with Sika’s body. This magic equipnt was called holy equipnt, or a semi-godly item. Saleen knew that he was not capable of making semi-godly equipnt since he even had problems making holy equipnt.

But in this world, there were many things that could be bought with money. Jason’s wealth had allowed Saleen to steal a bargain. The material of the armor was highly sophisticated and it had potential for growth due to the addition of the dinsion stones. It was just a matter of ti until it beca a semi-godly item.

For Sika, it was all worthwhile.
