There were magic beasts in the world that had been created by Raphael, but they had likely been caught from other dinsions and sent there. Although an elf of fire elents was very different from a human, it was still intelligent life.
“Of course it’s true.” The volcanic magic array had possessed the aura of life for over a hundred years now. According to the original plan of those six grade-10 mages, the creation of the elf of fire elents was nearly completed.
“Now I understand!”
Saleen could understand why Jason was indecisive after hearing about the six elent space. The elf of fire elents would be the safest contract creature of all before it ford intelligence. Any sorcerer with an elf of fire elents could release the power of level-9 magic as they wished.
Even if a contract could not be signed with the elf of fire elents, this elf could be used to build magic equipnt of the highest level, which were also half artifacts. If the elf was powerful enough, it could build three to five pieces of that equipnt, or at least two pieces at minimum.
The search for the interdinsional space might not succeed, but the elf of fire elents was on this island. How could Jason give up such a powerful thing?
“Saleen, the catching of the elf of fire elents requires three grade-9 sorcerers or thirty-six sorcerers no lower than grade-7. The last grade-9 sorcerer of this island has passed away and there aren’t enough grade-7 sorcerers. Now Alchemy City, Devil’s Horn, and Sky Island all want to share the benefits. If all the mages of Alchemy City demand that Sregl Island be opened, the mages of this island cannot refuse. ”
“Is there an agreent involved in this?” Saleen found the loophole in his words.
“Yes. It was the decision of those six great sorcerers to make Sregl Island a closed island. Soon, the period of one thousand years will have passed. If we cannot catch the elf of fire elents within seven months, we won’t be able to refuse their requirent. But we can’t gather thirty-six sorcerers in seven months.”
“Teacher, how can we catch the elf of fire elents? Is a certain number of sorcerers a must?”
Saleen thought about Lex’s god ring. The protective power of that thing was much stronger than a magic shield cast by a sorcerer.
“The elf of fire elents is born in the lava, and even sorcerers cannot approach it. These thirty-six sorcerers are actually needed to control the magic array. Without full control of the enormous mage array, we cannot control the power of the volcano either. “An artifact?” Saleen thought for a mont and said to Jason, “Teacher, I have an artifact in my hands, but I do not dare bring it out. I am afraid that the people from the Holy See will know and cause problems for us once I take it out.”
“Really? What is it?” Jason had not expected his student to be so rich by this ti. He had ntioned artifacts only to discover that Saleen unbelievably had one with him.
“It’s the Seal of Divine Power. Raphael was severely injured by this artifact. It has the imprint of the Lord of Glory, which can be concealed in the interdinsional space, but not here. I am afraid that the Holy See has its way to detect the waves of the artifact’s power.”
“Saleen, are you saying the pope does not have all three artifacts by now?”
“Exactly. This artifact was inside of Raphael’s body even after his death.”
Jason pondered this. If the pope does not have all of the artifacts, the strength of the Holy See has been lowered by at least ten percent. Concealing the artifact and keeping it a secret to the people of the Holy See will be an advantage for the mages. It is not worth exposing the location of the artifact rely for an elf of fire elents.
“Saleen, don’t take it out. I will take care of that artifact after we arrive in the interdinsional space. The imprint of god can be erased.”
“Teacher, so you agree to go to the interdinsional space?” Saleen was delighted.
“I can go. But only after we catch the elf of fire elents will I be able to persuade others to leave together.”
“Of course, Teacher. Lex is still outside. Do you want to talk to her?”
“Is she your friend?”
“Yes.”
“Then she can stay in my magic tower. Now, let her in.”
Lex had grown impatient waiting outside of the magic tower, and was relieved when she suddenly heard Jason’s voice. The gate of the magic tower was opened again. Lex and the others walked into the magic tower and stepped onto the teleportation portal following Jason’s orders.
“Saleen, I have no students aside from you. They can stay here, but cannot walk around freely. If they need anything, just speak into the magic sound array.”
Jason did not et with Lex right away. He arranged a place for her to stay and then continued to speak with Saleen.
“Saleen, you cannot help with the matter of the elf of fire elents, so don’t worry about than. I have a question for you. What are your plans for the future? Do you want to stay on this island and practice? Or do you want to leave with Lex and help her build a more powerful county?”
“Teacher, Lex is not trying to build a powerful county. She just wants to provide people with more opportunities to learn magic.”
Jason smiled, his eyes filled with wisdom. “Saleen, aren’t those the sa thing?”
Aren’t those the sa thing? Saleen was enlightened by those words. It was impossible to complete Lex’s dream just by relying on herself alone. To have more people learn magic and truly understand the world required a county as a source of power.
“Teacher, I had the idea of building more cities like Alchemy City, but not as closed and conventional.”
“Conventional? Saleen, do you think mages were like this in ancient tis? Back then, the imparting of magic knowledge was open and magic books did not have sky-high prices as they do now. Mages nowadays are different from the mages of ancient tis. They are not conventional. They just want to keep their money.”
Saleen did not respond. He thought, Teacher, you have over ten thousand books in your own spatial equipnt, but have never made them known to the public.
Jason seed to know his thoughts and laughed, “If I take those out, how many people would be able to understand them?”
Saleen blushed. Most people were illiterate and those magic books were written in complicated words. Even enlightening them would be difficult. Saleen himself was also not self-taught. Had Jason not instructed him at the very beginning, he could have taken the wrong path and suffered from magic backlash.
“Teacher, let’s talk about the matter concerning the elf of fire elents. I might not be able to help, but I have many good items with , and so does Lex. If she wants your help, she will be willing to pay the price. She is a grade-6 mage and certainly understands this.”
“I’ve heard of her. She is already a grade-6 mage?
“Yes. And she will advance to a sorcerer within ten years.”
“A sorcerer under the age of thirty is rare!” Jason exclaid. He said nothing more about her, and had Saleen put his collection on the table piece by piece.
Jason did not know what to say upon seeing all the materials and equipnt taken out by Saleen. When he had accepted Saleen as his student, he had not even had enough food to survive. Now, Saleen was richer than most of the mages on this island with his collection.
Jason did not accept anything from Saleen, but gave Saleen instructions on how to use every piece.
“Saleen, this demon set is not eye-catching, but is of top quality. These pieces of equipnt can be used by you even after you have beco a grade-10 mage, particularly the demonic spellbook. Use them well and familiarize yourself with storing and releasing magic. This kind of material is hard to find nowadays, and is most suitable for you, a mage with defective magic chords.”
“The Ring of Gifts, goddess’ necklace, and the shenhe were not rare equipnt in the past, but are hard to find at this ti. However, your refinent of the shenhe is a bit wasteful.
