After classes, Dapper, along with Riley and Shinro, could be seen relaxing under the shade of a large tree. Riley snuggled up to Dapper, her hand gliding across his chest. The sight felt strange to Shinro, who turned beet red at what the two of them were doing.
"W-Why are you two acting like that?" Shinro asked, flustered.
"Like what? You an like this?" Dapper asked, giving Riley’s ass a firm squeeze.
"Hey! Aren’t you going to say sothing?! You’re just letting this pervert touch you like that?! I knew he was no good!" Shinro barked, his nose bleeding profusely.
"Co on, Shinro. Riley’s my chick now, you see. She was at my place all night, we had a lot of fun. Right, Riley?" Dapper grinned, making Riley’s face flush deep red. She hadn’t expected him to say that so casually.
"Why did you say all that?" Riley muttered in embarrassnt, covering her face with one palm. Shinro stared at them in shock, his mouth agape as if his entire worldview had just shattered.
’This is one of the reasons I acted like a jerk. Shinro clearly has feelings for Riley, but Riley doesn’t feel the sa. Better he finds out now than later, when it will hurt worse and affect our friendship. I’m sorry, Shinro,’ Dapper thought while watching the stunned look on Shinro’s face.
"But..." Shinro suddenly said, his expression darkening. "You already have two wives, Dapper. Why are you trying to use Riley?"
"What do you an, use?" Dapper asked, frowning.
"You’re a jerk, Dapper! You’ve got two wives, and now you’re taking advantage of Riley’s naivety. She can’t see it because she’s blindly in love with you! I’m not saying this just because I have a crush on her, it’s still her choice in the end. But what I can’t stand is seeing soone take advantage of soone who genuinely likes them!" Shinro shouted, his fists clenched. Even Riley looked stunned.
"You... like , Shinro?" Riley asked softly.
"O-Of course, I do. But it doesn’t matter anymore. I like you naturally as a friend. I’m just trying to look out for you," Shinro said quietly.
"I see... I’m sorry for not feeling the sa way. You’re a good person, and I really do care about you but only as a friend. I’m sorry if that hurts," Riley said with a slight bow.
"It’s okay. But Dapper still hasn’t answered my question," Shinro said, turning back to him.
"Hey, I’m not taking advantage of Riley. I’ve studied her, she’s a good girl, not so hoe. Of course I’m not going to use and dump her. I plan to add her to my harem. After graduation, I’ll marry Riley and make her my fourth wife," Dapper said, gazing up at the sky, his eyes shining.
"Fourth?! Not even third?! You didn’t tell there’s another woman you plan to marry! You petty liar! Just how many won do you plan to marry?!" Riley exclaid, punching Dapper’s chest and tugging at his ear playfully as they bantered.
"You never asked what number you’d be. We only agreed to marry after I et your parents post-graduation. Besides, the third woman I want to marry is actually one of the reasons I ca to this military academy. I’m hoping to see her soon," Dapper replied.
"I see..." Riley muttered, calming down. Still, she felt a warm flutter in her chest at Dapper’s open commitnt to her.
’My actions might be foolish... but it’s worth staying with soone who I like and who’s honest about his feelings,’ Riley thought. Her ex-fiance, whom she’d been arranged with through her parents, was a serial cheater. It wasn’t his lifestyle that had made her give up, it was his lies. Dapper, however, was different. He never hid his intentions. As crazy as it sounded, a man openly building a harem, she’d fallen for him precisely because he always told the truth.
"Okay... at least you’re going to marry her. But seriously, won are weird. Why would you like a pervert like Dapper..." Shinro muttered, scratching the back of his head.
"I have my reasons, Shinro. You’re a good person too, but honestly, you’re no better than him. We barely know anything about you or your true preferences. Dapper, on the other hand, is always straightforward. From the mont I t him, I knew he was a pervert. He didn’t even hide the fact that he regretted saving that day in the dungeon, that alone made fall for him. He never wore a fake mask," Riley explained calmly.
"Haaa... I see. You’re absolutely right, Riley. But Dapper, seriously, leave so girls for monkeys like us," Shinro said with a laugh.

It had been about a week in the academy. The week had been nothing but excitent for Dapper, as he got to learn new things and more about the world thanks to access to the school library. He was able to read history, although so books were inaccessible to Year One students, which was understandable.
But it started getting boring for Dapper since Riley would usually go for training at Dora’s residence. The sa could be said for Shinro, who often went to the old man’s residence after class. They rarely got to hang out anymore. To make matters worse, Lily also ca by every day just to have sex and then quickly leave, saying she had to train her disciples. Though Riley did manage to co by once in a while late at night, it was mostly to drop off dinner she made for him at her teacher’s residence.
Right now, Dapper was casually strolling through campus. As usual, Shinro and Riley had already left for their training.

Even though I’d consider myself a great marksman in my past life, here I’d be average at best. Archers in this world can take out targets miles away just with a bow and mana-imbued arrows. Heck, so can launch any pointy object from afar and still hit their mark.’

Dapper stopped chatting with Bay and headed to the Headmaster’s office. It was his third ti visiting that week, only to keep finding the man absent.
When he got there, a few soldiers questioned and searched him, also asking him to take off his space ring.
’Dumbasses. I could load a shit ton of stuff into my system inventory and blow up the Headmaster’s office. Good thing I’m not a villain,’ Dapper chuckled inwardly as he knocked on the door.
Abruptly, he heard a robotic voice from inside, and the next mont, the door slid open. Dapper was surprised at the door’s thickness. He stepped into what looked like a waiting room, there was another door inside that likely led to the Headmaster’s actual office. Several students were already seated, waiting patiently.
Dapper took a seat as well. It didn’t take long before it was his turn and he entered the Headmaster’s office. The man looked to be in his early sixties, mature with neatly slicked-back grey hair and a thick, well-trimd beard. His glasses sat perfectly on his nose, and his hairline and beard looked freshly carved. He wore the elite uniform, but there weren’t many insignias on it, which made Dapper curious.
Dapper gave a bow and stood silently across from the desk. Since the man didn’t tell him to sit, he remained standing.
’So, this is our Headmaster, Powell. Younger-looking than I thought.’
"How may I help you?" the Headmaster asked without lifting his gaze, scribbling sothing with a pen.
"I’m here to collect a Free Will Pass. I was nominated and vetted by a board mber," Dapper replied, prompting the Headmaster to finally raise his head and look at him.
